I really resonate with Aylin. She feels different (like an alien) and has been bullied because of that difference. A lot of autistic people feel like an alien (but I have never heard of any of us that have acted like Aylin though). I don’t know if that is what the writers are trying to insinuate, but that’s how I interpret the character at least. It feels like Aylin is saying “Why should I act in any way like what those bullies want me to?”, which is what I thought when I was her age.
