There's an almost infinite amount of things to do up here if you appreciate the outdoors. You guys are one of my favorite channels so watching your U.P. videos is so cool!
Kelly you amaze me with the gourmet meals you cook for every meal on every video I've watched! I was born and raised in Michigan and as a kid, every year we vacationed in Northern Michigan. We lived in the thumb area. I remember being in Copper Harbor but it was a long time ago. Lots of old copper mines when I was there as a child and I'm 70 now so thet may be gone. We camped in a huge 3 room tent!
I keep saying this, but I'm so happy you went to Copper Harbor. This is my favorite Michigan spot, we discovered about 10yrs ago looking for MB trails. Hope you get to experience all it has to offer. If you get the chance, you can even take the ferry to Isle Royale National Park. Have fun! maybe you'll still be there in September when we get there! LOL
I just need to say “YUM!” Kelly proves you don’t need a big kitchen with granite counters to cook great meals. Inspiring. Also hopefully Cody didn’t get too banged up on the bike ride. Y’all are speeding through those trails. Makes me nervous.

I never want to leave Michigan when I go! Specifically a little town called Caseville that I grew up going to every summer. It will forever be in my heart. I long for the day I can go there again.

Hey guys, as a kid, I spent 2 months of every summer at Copper Harbor and the Eagles. The area has changed, but I still get there every year. Be sure to stop at the" Jam Pot," or "The Jam Lady!" And get some Thimble Berry Jam. Put some of that on your toast and you are in heaven. Have fun.
We just knew you would love our Beloved UP~ We just wish you could see it dressed in the amazing fall colors. Due to the pure air up there the colors appear like stained glass prisms with knock your socks off beauty!! We lived on the Keweenaw Peninsula and after 7 years sadly had to move downstate, but we still have Yooper hearts! This is GOD'S country and you will find nothing like it anywhere~

What a great video on the U.P. When I retired 5 years ago, my sister and I pulled a popup and took a 5 week vacation trip to Washington State. Since we're from Ohio, we drove N through MI in early mid June. Camped in Ontonagon and drove up to Copper Harbor - we were socked in with fog and rain the whole 4 nights we were there. We could see nothing. No views period. :( But one never knows what's gonna happen) So now - i got to see how beautiful it was! :) thanks for sharing! We did put our raincoats on and take the hike through Estivant Pines Nature Sanctuary to see the old growth trees and that was worth the whole trip to Copper Harbor. I absolutely love the U.P. and have been there many times - hope you don't miss the Porcupines! So happy you shared!

Glad you are ok. I love the feel of Michigan (and Colorado) grass too. It's so soft. I was born in Detroit and lived in Lansing too. We moved away when I was in elementary. we just got back from the Upper Penisula and loved it! Copper Harbor is amazing! One of the most beautiful places in the USA~mini golf and the local ice cream stores are a must when vacationing! Love mini golf!
Ah, the U.P, my 2nd favorite place besides the Ouachitas. If u get a chance check out lake superior state forest campground and 2 hearted river. Plenty of amazing colorful rocks. That's also where most of those yooperlites are found at night if u have a good UV light . Have a good one!

You guys need to vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC! Cody we are the miniature golf capital of the world! They even have the mini golf PGA here! I love where you guys are at in this vlog! What a fabulous area to camp! I can’t wait for the next one!
I want to be a Yooper so bad!! Go over to Christmas and have a picnic at the state park! Also, don't miss White fish and Paradise. Both worth the trip!
We will have to check out this area and campground, it looks beautiful and peaceful. We had visited Traverse City, MI before (for a Tall Ship cruise, which was so much fun)! Cody, our family loves mini golf while on vacation, also! LOL Hubby and I just played the Pirate's Cove course in Door County, WI and it was awesome! Enjoy the rest of your time in Michigan. We hope to return someday!

Absolutely LOVE your videos! We just discovered your channel a couple weeks ago when you entered Michigan (we moved to Midland 4 years ago from Western N.Y. State and just love Michigan…my husband was stationed in the upper peninsula while in the Air Force in the mid 80’s at K.I Sawyer AFB outside of Marquette..not sure if you are going to pass by there on your way back East but it might be worth a stop to check out…the base was closed in 1995 but it is accessible. It is a strange combination of existing community alongside abandoned, vandalized buildings and the county airport, and the Marquette area in general is quite nice) You guys have shot to the top of the list of our favorite travel channels…keep up the good work, and safe travels.

When we were there years ago, we stayed at the state park. You should look into why they named the lake, "Lake Fannie Hoe", it's interesting. Took a boat ride to see the lighthouse, hiked a trail among old growth hemlocks - Estivant Pines, and ate breakfast at Keweenaw Mountain Lodge. Had to go to the ER in Calumet & on the way home stopped on top of the mountain by Lake Medora. We witnessed the aurora in all colors, shooting stars & fog coming off the lake. It was a magical display!!! We also found a rock with copper in it on the beach near Lake Superior!

Highest point in Michigan .. Check out the eagles and the very cold temps of Lake Superior…
Another place to check out in the upper peninsula in Munising Mi. and check out the pictured rock tour with the glass bottom boat also go to the dog patch restaurant .. it used to be a good place to eat

Great video....I absolutely lo e the UP! If you're heading towards MN you will have to check out the Trails End campground off the North shore, you'd love it.
We did a lighthouse tour around the UP and did over 400 miles in our jeep we will be coming back again this year

You might not know, and I doubt anyone mentioned it to you, but Copper Harbor is in Keweeenaw County, which is the largest County in Michigan at 5966 square miles. At 91% water area it is also the County (or equivalent) that has the highest percentage of size made up of water in the US. 5426 square miles are water, another 209 square miles makes up the land area of Isle Royale so all 2046 residents of Keweenaw County live in the 331 square miles of land that makes up the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula.

I've been watching your videos as you travel through Michigan I live in the lower peninsula just north of Grand Rapids. I know several Yoopers matter of fact I have a neighbor that is from Ecanabania.

We planned to be in UP and Northern part of Michigan for 4 days. Today is day 11 with 5 more to go. It's awesome here!! Muising and Grand Island are fantastic. Now we are at the best, but nearly impossible to get, free campsite i think we have ever visited. Just outside Mackinaw. If you want to take this campsite over we are leaving Sunday. It's huge, close to town, and free!!
