This series is the last chance for Aussie to beat India in Australia for the next 4-5 years. The current team is probably one of the oldest Aussie squads I have seen. Of the 13 in the Aussie squad, McSweeney is 25, and Josh Inglis is 4 months short of 30. And every single one of the others are 30+. I don't see the next set of Australian players turning up the heat and knocking on the doors. Smith, Khwaja, Lyon, and 4 seamers will retire within 1-2 years. I don't remember an Aussie team where all the bowlers over 30 played together for this long and didn't have 1 or 2 fast bowling sensations waiting to blow away the batsmen. They always had someone or the other: Kasprowicz, Bret Lee, Tait, Bollinger, Hilfenhaus, Starc, Cummins, and now there is a complete lack of quality. Forget about finding a spinner; it's evident that Aussies have given up on that. Labhscahagne is their next-best spinner after Lyon and Zampa. Even for Batters, they only have Labuschagne, who just turned 30 and can give another 4 years at best, 6 at most. Nobody came in to score those daddy hundreds.
