Man, these yamaha BB's sound amazing. Enjoyed playing the one I got to try in a guitar center a few months back. And I enjoyed your playing in this video sir!
I have both the BBP35 and found someone locally selling the BBP434 with maple neck. I love them both! The 434 is really great quality for the money! Good luck on your journey finding the BBP34!
I have a BBP34 and the BB734A which is the version with a 3 band preamp and active passive option. Love them both for different reasons, but the BBP34 would be my "desert island" bass. It's so good.
I agree , I was going to get the BBP35 made in Japan, but it’s nowhere to be had and not for a long time, I spent the extra 1k and got STINGRAY SPECIAL HH USA and I’m so glad I bought it. It amazing, and yes..never settle , get on the list on Sweetwater , they will come eventually, just be patient
I bought one of these at Sam Ash. I had it for a few days before I took it back because the P pickup was microphonic. The clicking when I was playing it was very noticeable. Plus I could talk into it and hear my voice through my amp. The bass played well and sounded nice but all of the extra noise drove me nuts.
- The bass sounds good Bob but I don’t blame you for wanting to try the BBP34. What made you switch from the Mesa 12” cabs to the Hartke 4x10’s. I’m currently pondering a new cab at this time myself.
I have a 79 pre ernie ball stingray it hangs on the wall because it's too heavy for me now, i got a Yamaha BB734 I put flats on it and it's now my go to bass and it dont feel or sound cheap !
@@BobBlackBass That is true. I suppose at least the BB734 has the Passive/Active switch so you can use it fully-Passive if desired (unlike the TRBX series) Edit: it seems that some TRBX models do also have the passive/active feature

Great to hear!

Thanks for sharing!
Good to see you. Happy new year. Bass sounds better than I’d imagined it would-biased against Yamaha a little.
Hey Invictus, good to hear from you! Happy New Year!

Hey Belman, thanks for the info!
I'm going to give the BBP a try as soon as they become available.

Hey sonofsocal, I think you're right. Will wait and see what happens.

Hey bogeyking, I noticed the clicking also. Thanks for the info!
Go with your gut, and get the BBP34…you won’t be happy if you settle. Hope the New Year treats you, and yours well. Cheers
Hey Sean, you're right and that's what I'm going to do
You have a great year as well!
The Classic Old Navy Shirt.
Haha you got it!

Hey New England, the mesas sounded boxy to me. I'm digging the Hartke HL 410. Nice and clean and the HL is light weight.

Hey What I, sounds great! I need to try one of those!
Have you considered the BB734 which seems to be the "Standard" version?
Hey True seed, yes I have but that one is active. I was trying to stay with a passive also with a satin neck. I may give it a try in the future.
