I'm not a farmer but Pastored in farm country when my boys were young. With that said your channel brings back great memories of when my boys were younger. Your relationship with your father is to be modeled. His humor is much like mine. Ya'll are blessed. Keep setting a great example.
It probably sounds soft, but man I'd love to have had that relationship between me and my dad...it makes my heart hurt. Now I have 2 boys of my own, I'm trying to build the best relationship possible betwewn me and my sons...I admire brian and coles relationship greatly.
Cole, It is important for your viewers to know, when corn is use to make ethanol only the starch portion is used to make fuel. The last time I checked the world is not short of starch. A corn kernel is about 2/3 starch. The remaining protein, fiber and oil is used as a high quality animal feed ingredient. For example the Dakota gold pellets you mentioned. So if 50% of your corn might end up at an biorefinery, 1/3 of it comes back to the country mostly as animal feed and possibly a little corn oil for human or biofuel use.
You do deserve the awesome harvest for all the hard work your family does to give the rest of us sustenance. God bless you all! Ellie sure would like a spa day I bet.
Thank-you for not being a farm equipment endorsement channel. Your camera shots and interaction with your dad is what makes this one of the best UA-cam farm channels!
I dont mean to "one up" ya but.....we have a parker 838 which is the dual auger version of yours an I had 53900 on it with 63# corn. Still had room too but the wheels an tires were screaming for mercy! Stay safe boys, God Bless.
Dad !! You started to say “ I just heard yesterday “. Then the fast tractor drove by and you got distracted so we didn’t get your story 🙁. Glad the corn harvest is so good this year !! Love the video thanks 🙋♀️😊
My husband ran grain elevators 40 years ago. He was great at mixing the grain to make $$$ for the company as well as giving the farmers a fair grade for their grain. Then we went farming (mostly cattle) & he also got his class 1 driver's license that he keeps up "just in case ".
The horn in the center of the wheel is electric. We call it the city horn. The other is the air horn. It releases air when you pull it from a truck driver
Hey guys just wanted to say this is the first time I have really got a good feel of how much land you manage seems like a whole heck of alot more then I thaught but man you guys do a good job with the small amount of equipment you have compared to other farms I watch good job guys dont know what we would do without farmers like you THANK YOU
You guys really keep things moving, from field to silo and back is harder than some might think. Great video and I agree with other viewers, Ellie is a real doll, such a sweetie! Thanks for the video, have a nice week! See ya soon!
I’m very proud of you guys most farmers just combine the corn and don’t run cattle and don’t have cattle and hear you guys have all sorts of them that’s one good thing that I was always raised on combine your corn then turn the cattle out in the stocks let them eat it but anymore they don’t do that all they were in a hurry for here is get the cops out and get to Florida or Arizona where it’s warm
I now watch the trailer empty in slow motion and man is that satisfying!!!! Put some music to it and sell it. Call it Sonne Cracked Corn and I Have no Cares!
The comment “ I should launch you to the moon Allis” made me laugh “ Jackie Gleason Quote will be stuck in my mind all Day !!! Priceless times in America. !!! Thanks Brian !!!!!! Glad you guys are having Gr8 harvest an No bad breakdowns. The hopper bottom unloader was a little concerning , you all handled it well in a timely manner . Crazy how just one little motor an part can shut the Orchestra down !!! Thanks for all the hard work an great videos.
Great video ;) hehe nice move to fill the grain cart up to max capacity ;)) and thx for the infos where all the grains go to.... it must be a massive elevator having in mind that there are a lot of farmers and many more bushels corn out there - awesome.
Hey guys! I'm pleased harvest is going ok, shame the yields are down but that's all part of it yeah? Cole, I had to chuckle when you mentioned people not using their turn signals, We have a similar thing here in the u.k with people who drive cars from 'B'ig 'M'otoring 'W'orld if you follow. We always give them a special type of wave to show them we care. Stay safe guys, Dave.
OMG that is a LOT of little corn kernels!! I’m always so surprised when there is a field of corn with what looks like to me has 2 ears per stalk (that’s how it looks driving by a field at 45 to 50 mph) and then I find out you harvest a TON of it!!! OMG!!
On a side note, I saw a video on a different channel where they had built 4-wheeler ramps over fencing so that gates don't have to be opened and closed when venturing into the cattle yards with wheelers. Thought of you guys. Looked pretty cool.
we called the horn on the steering wheel the city horn for when you were coming out of an alley and just needed a warning toot .the air horn was for when things got real.
Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. You must be up late tonight as I just caught your upload. Thanks for doing that. Enjoyed the late night entertainment. The Sonne team is doing great with harvest. You are moving right along for sure. Glad you got the computer in the combine going again. Down time is no fun at harvest. That was a heavy duty load you put on the grain cart, wow. Glad the tires held out. Am sure you were over the limit. Moving an auger takes time for sure. Need several people to do it right and safely. Loved Brian’s comment on checking the truck on your side of the motor. Good one Brian. About it I guess. You all take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything. The Iowa farm boy from years ago.
great and funny video. Cole, you need to watch out for Mr. B... He might put a noumber 5 against your head...lol Thank you guys all 3 of y'all for a grat job
Watching from SW Louisiana. Really love your videos. Don't know which one of you I like best. between Brian, Jeff and Cole, it's a tough call. Enjoy Brian's musings, Jeff can be a hoot, but guess I'll have to go with Cole, since we wouldn't have this without him. Thanks for keeping us in food. Eat Beef.
Excellent EARLY show today ! I usually have to wait until lunchtime to see you guys so this was a nice surprise especially since it's raining today and I can't go outside to play.
Cole, liked when you had a rootbeer float bar from Schwans, we have been getting their products for sometime, but never tried that one, so just got it and you are soo right, they are awsome. Thanks for all your hard work making your video's.
It must be an great feeling harvesting when after the drought y'all have had and yet the fields are looking good. I bet that gives you good dreams and makes you sleep good at night.
Always love your videos! Yes Brian “To the moon Alice” I could hear that cart go “aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh” as it emptied. way to go👍👍👍 Nice Cole Tootin your own horn! 😃👍
Cole - look at you climbing those stairs with ease!!😁🎉😁 Great video! We’ve had 2-3” of rain 😱😱 within the last 24 hours in IL, so any remaining corn harvest is on hold for a bit🤦🏻♀️
Another great video! Quick suggestion…you may be able to improve your fuel consumption and meet trailer weight if you lose some of that “dead bug load” on your truck windshield…😂😂. Really enjoy the effort you folks put into your channel! Thank you!
Are the songs you are quoting (Brian) what you listened to in your younger days? They sound like the ones my sons listened to. Not too bad, so keep them coming. Really appreciate all of your videos!
I remember harvest time when I was young we didn't leave the field until it was done. Lunch came to us & sometimes even dinner too. My how things have changed; and fir the better I'd say. Good video. 👍
I love seeing all that corn flowing. Reminds me of my farm days, I used to love plunging my hands in the freshly filled corn barrel and let the kernels run thru my hands. Great harvest you've got this year. Shows you've been taking care of the land and putting that manure to good use. Trickle down positivity should be a great deer crop this hunting season. Love your videos. Hope knee is doing well. I've had both replaced so I know therapy isn't always fun. 💘 🌽 🇺🇸
We have a unverferth 8250 which looks a lot like your grain cart, probably same generation since unverferth owns Parker. We’ve 50 thousand in ours before but the tires weren’t happy about it
I love all things corn n you had me craving some! So I made some buttered microwave popcorn but I cook on the stove top cos I don't like using microwaves. LOL! 😆 It's about 12:15am here in Surfcoast Victoria, Australia n it was a delicious late night snack. Thanks Cole, Mr Brian n Mr Jeff. Great to see n hear you got some good yields despite the dryer summer you've had. 😁🙏💙🦘
Really appreciate all the work you do to make these videos. Also, I’ve tried the Cannadipps for my achy knee and I agree they work. No side effects just pain relief. On a rainy day especially they are my friend. I appreciate you suggesting them. And I agree Jeff for the Ichiban video. Great job guys
Thanks for the great vid as always! You have to love channels with short intros that don't beg for likes or subs! Thank you!!! Wish Larson Farms and Saskdutchkid would notice.
