5:03 I could be wrong but I believe that speedometer has been swapped with one from an early e30; it's supposed to go up to 150. I also want to say it's supposed to be a "VDO" instead of Motometer but I'm less sure of that.
You missted should have sprayed the rotors with brake clean to get oils off. Another thing for brake feel might want to do braided lines. Always a good video would love to find e30 for myself.
What a wonderfully thought out and concise video. It’s refreshing to see content come out with this quality. From a content creator to another, hats off to you.
okay let me just comment now. im only 2 minutes in, and this editing makes it feel like a movie!! i love it . the light coming out of the box is🤌! keep it up man. ill be commenting when the vids done to i bet 😅
On street legal rubber E30 brakes, specifically 4 wheel discs, are capable of locking the wheels at any speed when kept in good shape. If you want better stopping get better tires. If on the other hand you want better feel, modulation and less fade get better pads and a good racing spec fluid so the pads are good but the cooling ducts are overkill, a good high temp fluid will be more effective. If you want the appearance of performance at the cost of the real thing get silly big wheels, silly big brakes, silly low profile tires and a painfully stiff suspension set up and have fun until your lower spine gets compressed.
@@Romans828KJV that's a super big question haha. Could make a whole video on my thoughts lol. To me it very much depends on the application and the industry.
@@HunterDirection yes it is heehee, for example is ai dumb? what if you ask for advice and it doesn't work out? are humans superior overall even in the future?
like i said, ill be here again lol. them airways for the brakes are a very interesting concept. ive never seen anything like them before , you think over time the flex tube will be bad??
Fantastic question. Every part of a car has a shelf life and I'm sure that hose will be no exception. The cool thing is it's pretty cheap by itself and would be an extremely fast swap if I ever have to. It was pretty difficult to cut though so I wouldn't be surprised if it lasted quite a while.
Seems like a good mod to cool down the brakes, but for that price till what point is worth it? in uk a set of wilwood 4pot brakes is 500£, I can be wrong but probably will be better, since is more disc surface as well
That's a really good point and it all has to do with the racing class itself. To comply with Spec E30 the car has to maintain stock calipers to be class legal. But AAF has also done a ton of testing with larger calipers and as they found the stock ones are quite capable for the weight of the car. I am sure the wildwood are great though!
Brake ducting defiantly does help with cooling. Unnecessary for the street but you notice the difference on track. But I agree for this test wouldn’t have made a difference in stopping distance
The taste on editing and overall result in the video is like Hollywood. Excellent content too.
Hey thank you for the support!
Happy for your happiness. I am glad the noise is not too overbearing
Amazing! The understanding, editing, color grading, music and style all make for a very enjoyable video. Good job and keep it up.
hey dude, are you from Spokane? I also have an e30 and recently stumbled upon your content. You make high quality videos, keep it up.
Hey man! Sorry for the late response! We should definitely chat sometime since you have an e30! Your channel is awesome by the way!
2:15 that's some major pulp fiction vibes
Exactly! It's a great film for sure!
@@HunterDirection one of my personal favorites :)
@@Nothy I completely agree!
These videos are great with amazing editing and helpful
Excellent video
Loved the Pulp Fiction surfer music & briefcase reference. Well Done!
Will this kit only work with specific coilovers? Also, did you find the undertrays? Great content and editing. Keep it coming

I really recommend replacing the brake fluid. It will make pedal feel better and reduce brake fade

Hey thank you a ton! I am happy to hear you can see the effort that went into it. Ill definitely check out your videos!
They don’t really need to be more than “hand tight”. The caliper pins are only about 25 ft-lbs.
The music in your videos is always so perfect. Always great selections.
It takes me forever to pick the songs so I'm glad to hear you think they fit as well as I do! Thank you for the support!
I would’ve also installed stainless steel brake lines.
Yo the quality of the editing is amazing
What model of pads?

I’m doing a v8 swap and unsure if this upgrade will be enough. Would appreciate any thoughts on an optimal set up. Thanks
You should wear gloves ;)
Editing/Narration/Transitions definitely giving me Ferris Beular Vibes. Keep up this style, much more entertaining.
The PFC pads are really good.. They will however eat through those rotors much faster though. Great car to pick as a project.
Great series bro, I’d suggest upgrading the exhaust and stage 2/3 clutch to help with launches
The cooling kit is overkill for the street, even spirited driving. You can get them to 600F and they won’t fade
You are spot on! It's very overkill, but it's also pretty sweet and will work wonders for my long term plans for the car haha!
Appreciate the episode and attention to detail 👍 nice work
Thank you for the support!

@HunterDirection that is a really nice feedback thanks, might try to find a cheaper way to do same thing
Which pad compound: 08, 11, or 331? I'm looking to purchase fronts/rears this week.
The pads I'm using are 08, I just went and double checked for you.
@@HunterDirection thank you kind sir
@@HunterDirectiondo they bite well when cold? Any noise ?
Just stumbled across this video. Do these brakes make any noise at all?
Awesome video.
Thank you!

It was all the pads, you could have done without the brake ducting.
