I am surprised at the reaction to our Pope’s statement. Immediately I heard him I thought that he was doing exactly as Jesus himself did, in blessing individual sinners (according to our judgment of them) who are also Children of God.
At no time did he say he was blessing or condoning their union or marriage.
So why did we jump to the conclusion that he was. Blessing their union?
Go back and relisten to what he did and his intent.
Exactly! He is blessing people where they are at -- NOT their circumstances.
I can only agree on this if people did as what Jesus says" go and sin no more." They must have every intention of changing their ways and their life. And walk daily with Jesus.
With respect I think you should check out Fr Mark Goring and Fr Eric Gialbaugh who explain the doc very well. Yes confusion especially the way media posts headlines. God knows what's going on, He has his plan and allowing confusion. Our Lady of Akita warned on this and instructed us to pray rosary. That's what we need to focus on. God will take care of everything. Receiving a blessing might encourage those to go to confession. If only 1 or 2 people have contrition and conversion there will be alot of rejoicing in Heaven. Pope Francis is successor, Trust in God, pray the Rosary. Sorry for the length of this. God bless.

I remember well the 2018 “Summer of Shame” but I didn’t have the foresight then, as you did as a couple, to combat that by gathering like minded people together to pray! God bless you! The good Lord has brought me and my husband a same sex attracted neighbor. By providence I have been cooking him dinner once a week and showing him Christs love. I don’t know if he knows if I am a Catholic but I pray for him as I make the food. We never know how our Lord is using us to reach the suffering. May the good Lord be with you all ❤

Yes, times are very confusing in the church right now but we are consoled knowing that God is still with us and will be with us until the end of time. Each one of us has been called by God to be disciples and to lead people to Him and our Blessed Mother. It is so important to speak and share the Truth in charity and with love as you do. The Holy Spirit will always guide our words and actions. Blessings! 🙏🏻
Respectfully, if you have confessed or not you will receive a blessing at the end of Holy Mass any Sunday or other day you go as will anyone else participating. People asking, regardless of whether they are in a state of grace or not will also most likely receive a blessing. There might be some lack of how to treat your neighbors from our Lord's great commandement going on here under the surface. Bishop William McGrattan had a great statement on this I encourage you to check it out.
So why do we need a document on it if we get a blessing every Sunday??? That’s what has made it so confusing, to me.

@@melmerk12 because there is potential schism in Germany with the Bishops and it has been going on for 2 years now. We are the laity and this document was not for us to make judgement on. It clarifies to priests and bishops on the teachings of the Church regarding marriage between one man and one woman and forbids same sex union liturgical blessings, with much detail on the method allowed for the spontaneous private blessing of those who are repentant and seeking help from the Church through a blessing (that confers the grace of conversion through the authority of the Church). Demons flee when the Church prays. Our Pope, Bishops and clergy have more grace via their anointing to confer grace. This is why we seek blessings, right? This is why those with demonic oppression and possession need an exorcism, right? Because by their office, our clergy have more power over the devil. This is why you should not attack your bishops or priests or Pope, but pray for them. This is why we bring sinners, even those not catholic or Christian for a blessing when they are fighting demons and on a path toward Christ. Salvation is a process. It would be great if they could “go to confession” to receive their blessing, but there are many non-Catholics with spiritual needs and I was once in that camp. I’m not same sex attracted and my sins differ, but imagine if the first priest I ever came to for a blessing flat out denied me and made me so angry I walked away from grace? Be in a state of grace, call upon the Holy Spirit, then re-read all 43 paragraphs and the clarification letter from the Vatican. Perhaps while in an Adoration chapel. Meditate on it. Do some research on what is going on in Germany. The Pope is trying to avoid schism. We ought to pray for him in earnest. That goes for me too.

The fact thay same sex attractions are exceedingly rare is proof that it's abnormal, the fact that a Homosexual population would literally die off in a single generation is enough to conclude that it was never meant to be. Homosexuality came about after the fall of man, when sin further degenerated man.
"It's proven". Provides no proof. At least with heterosexuality we can observe that most people around us have these attractions.

Happy New Year to you both. I am glad Ken didn’t sugar coat this outlandish act within the church. We need more outspoken Catholics to speak the truth. That’s how the evil begins. It creeps in slowly and discreetly by simply saying it’s a “pastoral blessing” and then bam, SSA marriages are ok to be blessed with mother Church. It’s upsetting to see the Pope go down the rabbit hole. We must pray for his conversion as he continues to “try” and change our teaching and ultimately the Truth of the Catholic faith. Like you stated we must pray the rosary and for the Blessed Mother’s intercession. The rosary solves all problems!

At last, God has had the last say through the African Bishops, all united as one, and rejected this document. When Jesus doesn't like something, He lets us know through His faithful bishops - it is this that protects the True magisterium.

This afternoon we were supposed a have a mass and we did'nt have one. Instead of just leaving the chapel, I suggested to say the Rosary before leaving. I belong to a Living Rosary prayer group. 20 . Each person prayers their assigned decade and all 4 decades are prayed daily. It's on its 6 year. One lady in charge keeps tbe list rotated. Including everyone's intentions so we pray for conversions, souls in Purgatory. 🙏😇❤💙. I include praying for those who have no one to pray for them. Our Priests, and Our Pope needs prayers.

I LOVE this. I hostessed a ladies' rosary and luncheon about a month ago and it was very successful and I received much positive feedback. I see from your video why the men leading would definitely be an improvement. The ladies' events can still continue for female fellowship! Happy New Year!

I could not invite people bec I have a small space here in my apartment. I pray the rosary every day by myself. I used to pray with my children but now they’re grown up, they don’t pray with me anymore … Mama Mary intercede for us🙏 with all our intentions.
