Northeners would be shocked due to cellphones and internet, while South Korean government would have to deal with over 20 million people who probably can't live on their own. It took a lot of time to make such difference between these countries, it would take much more for both sides to reunify.

Me personally do not support authoritarian socialism, rather libertarian socialism or komunal socialism. Also only about 60% of Northerns have mobile phones, so these 8 million of people without mobile phones among 60 million of "advanced people" would be a problem for both countries.
