Always learn something new on your videos! I didn't know about the sugar cookie cow snow tip!

I'm sure it's extra effort to film in cold snowy weather. Thanks for bringing us along. The girls seem to be in fine form!

It is. Definitely makes me appreciate the work others put into the videos they put out that have far more time and editing invested

Thank you for the small tips no thinks to mention. I am listening to all of them in hopes of becoming a good first time cattle owner.

Beautiful opening shot of the snow. This truly made me LOL -- 0:11 and your verbal assessment of the situation Also, it was hoot watching the girls running down to the tractor and then chasing you back up the hill when you were running back to get the camera. Looked like puppy dogs running after you. The fat deposits on the cows rumps are amazing. Can really see them on the dun cow at 9:20. Looks like you are providing exactly the amount of feed they need. Hope you can stay warm!

Thanks Ted! Yeah that was something, having them chase me down. Good eye on the dun fat!

It’s easy to love raising cattle in may and june. January & February is when you really need to be committed.

Ya know Craig I actually love the winter time with them. Now talk to me in 20 years and who knows, but I really enjoy it now. At times I think running only stockers and getting them out of here before winter would be a good way to take a “winter break” but at the end of the day I can only sit around for so long before I go crazy. Having cows to deal with twice a day at least gives me something to do!

Thank you David. Keeping them on fresh grass every day definitely paid off

Rob this may be a poor idea but I will put it out for your consideration. Perhaps build a panel 8 X 16 or whatever it would take to close of 1/2 of the front open wall . Then hang it with the tractor when weather dictates to block snow & wind. Be well, blessings.

Thanks Dayne. This shed actually has a sliding half door I can put back up anytime, I just haven’t considered it. It would have to be pretty cold though for the effort to put it back up
