The midfield hasn't been talked about very much, while the forwards and fullbacks are getting most of the attention. While Coffee has been solid, how are Horan and Lavelle doing? I'm already looking forward to the transition to younger stars in the midfield in the near future. Yohannes, Jaedyn Shaw, Catarina Macario, Croix Bethune, Sanchez are all players to keep an eye on, as they develop.
Lindsey Horan might announce an early retirement if the US wins gold. Rose is the best at what she does, when healthy. >>> It 's good you are optimistic about Lily Yohannes choosing the US over the Netherlands. I think Ashley Sanchez has been doing better as a forward, but could be an attacking midfielder (no defense). Croix Bethune and Jaedyn Shaw will keep her off a 23 player roster. Hal Hershfelt has a real future.
TEAM USA! Some players are naturally shining brighter than others but they are all playing together as a team, not a star accompanied by central casting extras. Emma Hayes created the environment for this, ignoring the pushback and naysaying from fans and talking heads. She deserves our appreciation and respect. And the gold medal that is coming… 🥇
Finally, the USWNT is going to meet a team with the swagger and confidence not to cower and drop into a low or mid-block. The Triple Espresso will destroy them. 😊
Yes,yes, yes The new #3 is in the starting lineup today, looking forward to the best outcome at the end of this match today bring it home ladies. Parade in New York will be sweet.
I'm feeling good about the Olympic final. The 2027 team might become the best USWNT ever. Hal Hershfelt, Korbin Albert, Jaedyn Shaw, Croix Bethune (!) are just getting started.
As a Bradfordian, I hope the Bradford City shirt is a good omen, since I have kept wishing USA and Emma Hayes good luck through this last season and this Olympic Games.
I actually think the USWNT did not over achieve and that this is their normal level as a Team of individual Players. They had this same potential in the World, but it's the Coach's job to get the best out of them as a Team. Players may for a good group under the understanding of best friends of family, but they can on their own form a strong team. YOU NEED a Coach to Form a Team. Under the previous Coach they did not perform to their full potential. Under Emma Hayes they are doing that. So by themselves there was no problem and their is not major change. However with the Coach there is a major change and I think they understand that now. They can feel during and after each game that they are communicating with each other better and that they can beat anybody. This feeling was missing before Emma Hayes because the prior Coach never created it. I understand that it's difficult and sometimes Success come to some easier than others. Emma understand these players a lot better than did the previous case. To finish, the prior coach of course wanted to succeed with the current players, but he didn't know how. This same how comes naturally to Emma Hayes and some of it is because she's a Woman and she understands her Women Players. In the end it all make sense. If get into the details with both the prior and current Coaches of the USWNT, you will see a much clearer image. This all normal no magic no tricks. I feel they will win the GOLD tomorrow against Brazil and the main reason the believe they will win is, ALL OF THEM LOOK GREAT WEARING GOLD. The USWNT want to play for themselves and they believe in each other. Brazil wants to play for Martha, and Marth is too old and distractive to her teammates. You can't be what you are not, this applies to Brazil and.... But the USMNT Players are Champions who just got the right Coach that will lead them to their right Place in Wold Soccer. They were missing a coach. Emma is it, and they got it now. They will win 🥇
Is it more of Emma not trusting her bench rather than her wanting the players to "suffer"? She's great at manipilating the dialogue. Seems more like she has no answer/creativity in her lineup because we don't have that deep a bench like we have in the past. So by keeping the front 3 out for aa long as she has, she hopes they will eventually put one in the back. Which luckily they have in the very late hours of the game.
This tournament just proved how idiotic a decision it was by Vlatko to take Sullivan over Coffey last year. Might have been the worst of many mistakes he made in the WC.
Everyone on the team was world class at the World Cup fiasco, except the coach. The difference on is a coach that is up to snuff. That Vlatco was over-his-head wasn't his fault. The ones who hired him failed.
I don't understand. Vlatco is doing quite well in KC. He seemed to have time to build a national squad. There must've been other factors at play. The devastating injury to Swanson is one that comes to mind because she was on fire in the preliminary games before the World Cup.
@@TheRumblewagonthink his unwillingness to give other or younger players a shot and keeping the older for more slow players bc he didn’t want any backlash or anything. He made everything confusing for the team and they had no identity at that World Cup, they talk about how they had to basically coach themselves in the last few games
Girma can run down anyone and is one of the premiere defenders in the game, at this level. And generally, the team has speed on average. Good luck to the Brazilian defenders running down MS, SS, and TR.
It will be tough game for us Brazil is so great and talented team but We are the best team in women football too I hope it will be beautiful game between two legend teams, My heart is with USA!!!🥰😍🤗❤🤍💙💯
This current U.S. team has not proven to be the best team in women’s football yet. We used to be, but we definitely lost that title. Horan and Lavelle have got to take and keep control of the midfield or we will not win.

Good luck to both teams!!! Let;s get it!
Sofia Smith has been a fast, ball of energy for the USWNT. They got some great goal keeping too.

I'm sorry but we need to allow Horan maybe 30 min play.
As a Bradfordian, I hope the Bradford City shirt is a good omen, since I have kept wishing USA and Emma Hayes good luck through this last season and this Olympic Games.
Montse Tome needs to go! She has no business being Spain’s Women’s National Team. She got outclassed and Outcoached by Colombia, Brazil and Germany.
You forgot the loss to not so mighty Czechia in the Euro Cup. MT illustrates how skillful E Hayes is.
Spain World Cup run was a fluke its as simple as that.

It helps The USA to have an extra day of rest

LET'S GO, BRAZIL !!!!!!!!! USWNT is over-caffeinated, and we are done with the arrogance!
Yep, you're done.
I can't eat or sleep... they have to be ready
Soo proud of you Ladies. especially not HAVING TO DISRESPECT OUR COUNTRY LIKE PEPPERONI DID
Luck is on Brazil
what a stupid male question!!
Yes or No Marta start?????
Its not, she should not start, ,they do better without her
It not a stupid question this team has been playing good without so way mess it up
Brazil forwards run faster than US defenders
lol

RAPINO and the squad listening to her toxicity failed the team and country. A vey new TEAM/COUNTRY START NEEDED
Rapinhoe was cancer

If US comes out with the wrong strategy, they will give Brazil the game. If we see a lot of passing with no results by the US then we are in trouble
I love this new team without Rapinhoe
