I appreciate your tutorials more and more, the SKR V2 series saved my day. Please go on with your tutorials. I don't mind the repetitions, as you correct mentioned, it helps to really be able to use the tutorial independent. Good method I have to admit.
Your video is fantastic! Got the SKR 2 working on my Tornado with the old LCD screen. Must have watched 20 videos that left out one part that did the trick, "cleaning up the build", getting rid of the old MEGA 2560 did the trick. Thanks much!
@@EdwardBraiman I tried a ton of crap to try and get it to add the ability to print from the SC card in the LCD screen, the option was not there. then I followed your video and there she be. Thanks again.
I have been fighting with getting SKR 2 V2 F429 to compile for three days using Build Merlin as soon as I edited the .ini file put in correct envermont it all compiled...awsome
Thanks Ed for such a quick response. You must have one badass setup. Can you list these high-end components. Augmenting my processing speed by 600% is worth an investment. Now's the time for me as I am renewing and upgrading many things to jump start my company back to life. Many changes. The pandemic destroyed all my client's companies and slowed down my suppliers. I had this niche market of clients selling only luxury items. So all in all, COVID had a positive effect for me, getting me three major insurance settlements and forcing me to upgrade all my outdated and slow equipment. My mother passed away september 2019. I think she caused this global chaos just for me. If anyone can cause such things from the beyond, it's my mother.
Ed Thanks for the helpful video. After getting all the parameters set, I tried the jog functions using the TFT motion display. The home sequence worked fine as well as X and Y jog moves to various distances. The Z axis however would not past 1mm resulting in a load motor squeal and no motion. Is there a way to get your help on this issue?
Hello Ed, I like your method of teaching very much. You are very thorough and clear. I just have one question. How did you pull off compiling in Marlin with vscode in 51.879 seconds while I did everything exactly like you and it took me over 9 minutes. Is there a box I need to check mark in order to compile only changes?
I am looking to make a config file for my printer. I can not figure out which pins are click_pin, encoder_pins:,sid_pin:,sclk_pin, or cs_pin:. Do you happen to know?
Hello, I have a problem with the SKR 1.4t motherboard with TMC 2208 in UART mode. After uploading Marilin, on the tft35 screen appears "error: all low error ". I tried check it in Pronterface program with M112 command but my Driver registers are Bad response and every axis have this error: "all low". Would you give me advice on what I could have done wrong? Or I just broke my motherboard ? Please help :)

I am convinced that Bigtreetech stuff can only use Bigtreetech displays. I can't get my MKS TFT35 to work with this board. :( I keep getting a white screen.
have you made the other video on the touchscreen yet? I have tried everything in the video, the marlin lcd side works but on the bigTree tech touch screen side it sill says no printer attached, even after I checked the BaudRate. Thanks for the vid!
Hi. Got it working by unplugging everything and re plugging. Now onto an auto fan. Keep getting errors trying to make fan0 the auto fan. Any tips on that?
I am having the same issue of no printer attached. I have tried every combination of serial ports. I have two of the boards and two of the tft35 e3 v3.0. Both say the same thing. As said before, serial 0 won't compile without modifications to the HAL. I did this and still got the same issue.
I figured it out. I assume that the dupont connectors would go onto the dupont style pins but instead they plug into the molex style tft connector on the skr2.
@@EdwardBraiman I can tell you that with the TFT (I have an E3 3.0) the build won't work with a serial port of 0, and obviously both have to be different. Since I know my port 1number, I put port 2 at -1. Hopefully there is a more elegant solution.

In the process of building a new system with an SKR 2 board. These videos are so well done and valuable. Thanks alot!

My computer is very different design than most. It's running a high-end GPU and CPU with M2 and lots of memory.

You're welcome.
Do you happen to have a video on the SKR V2 (REV B) and TMC 2209 setup in UART mode and sensorless homing?
I'll be publishing it Saturday. Or if you want to see early it's posted on Patreon.
6:50 I don't think Marlin will replace the board, BTT should, fixing the issues in revision A is very easy
As long as you can run either jumper wires or solder you should fine.

Which version of TFT display software are you using?
In same situation. Marlin mode works but touch mode doesn’t. BTT Using TFT 43. Thanks for any assistance!

Hi, What can be the reason, if TFT24 (BTT) not working via TFT pins??
There is a discord link in description of video.
Toward the end of this video you said you would put up a tutorial regarding serial port selection. That link didn't appear for me.
Still researching new serial port.

Thanks for the tutorial but you skipped over the most important part between 5:41-5:44 :(
Generally the details a subtle.
Excellent 👌
Does SKR 2 Board has EEPROM ?
It should, just remember to use rev B board with advanced steppers.
@@EdwardBraiman But the card doesn't work with Udisc and sdcard at the same time. Do you already have a solution for this with this tft?
It's a known issue between Marlin and BTT. Both are working to fix as I've seen a bug on BTT GitHub.
@@EdwardBraiman The sd card only works if you have Udisc. But Udisc never works. Very bad
what is the name of that TFT screen?
The brand is BigTreeTech TFT it might be in video description.
@@EdwardBraiman Is that compatible with the Sidewinder X1
@@EdwardBraiman There are so many TFT screens there
Is Sidewinder a motherboard?
@@EdwardBraiman The mothertboard is a SKR 2, Sidewinder is;a Artellry 3D printer.
