I've been a Trezor guy ever since the One came out but this video made me buy CC (via your link). Had no idea you could use it with a phone over NFC (hopefully it works with an iPhone too). Thanks!
Just ran a test and you can set up a multi sig wallet with one Coldcard adding it as a key multiple times for different wallets on CC protected by different passphrases.
Would this have been done with an “air gap” even with the NFC option or does that make it not an air gap transaction anymore just as if I plugged it in usb-c to a computer? I just ask cause I see your still using the cold power with battery so I’m pretty curious, thanks!
I would AVOID cold card if you plan using it for nfc. Using multiple different iphones it’s extremely finicky. Not nearly as seamless as show on the video. I purchased mk4 specifically for this features and am very disappointed in the functionality. Looking for other solutions atm. Definitely not reliable for multisig. The nfc signal is very weak and does not connect even after following instructions exactly, also considering placement of the nfc chip in the device and phone.
NFC on the Coldcard has been a terrible experience so far. It's nearly impossible to get it to successfully communicate with my iPhone 14 pro. Managed to import the wallet after a lot of swearing and frustration but after 30 minutes trying to sign a transaction I gave up. More development required.
How to I add a Wallet to Nunchuk where I use a passphrase. If I have multiple wallets on my coldcard by using passphrase, do I need to add a key for each one or is it one key with multiple wallets on Nunchuk.
@@Royorg-qf5jq Thanks for the feedback. I updated everything on my 1+ Android device, same results. Interesting to note, the coldcard NFC stops transmitting when I move the phone away and back again the second or third time. As if it quits the export .json job, no chime either. When pairing the tapsigner there is a chime sound that confirms the connection.
I absolutely love it BUT, having to swipe so many times with your phone ruins UX flow on top of an already daunting looking device. Great for geeks like I, but not the looks of mass adoption.
I bought this piece of shit and it's simply useless, the NFC doesn't work and the transactions don't complete, it gives an error and doesn't go. Bad advice, I ended up with a very expensive paperweight
Coldcard rocks. The NFC implementation is new and many wallets still need to catch up.Give it time, like with PSBT.

NFC is a protocol available to any OS. It's like Bluetooth, it can be used by any company

It's not perfect, but ok. Just have to be precise when connecting devices.
Which other mobile wallets do support NFC please?
What is your coldcard case in the video? Do you have a link to the product?
I need the link to the case if available. Or where to get one.
Thanks alot

17:14 my Nunchuk is reading an error 🤷♂️ I tried it 20x

NFC for point to point hot wallet on smart device
Why is my new coldcard saying "failure no space left" when it asks me if i wish to save my new wallet please?

Can you use the same key for more than 1 multisig wallet?
What do you think about AirGap Vault/Walllet?
I'm trying but can't get the nfc pairing to work with coldcard. I use Google pay so the nfc of mobile is good.
Same here, tapsigner working with nunchuck wallet... coldcard not yet. Same result on three devices...
@@Thieudric I was able to add coldcard already after update os nunchuk.

Got it working. The trick is leaving the Mk4 at least 5 seconds in the same place when looking for the NFC chip on your phone.
Patience, it does work.

Where did you get the case for the cc4?
NFC on the coldcard is a horrible experience.
Makes me weary about reserving the Coldcard Q
When is the q1 releasing ?
I like coinkite. But that 9 volt battery power supply for the coldcard is overpriced. I made my own for half the price.
I was thinking the same. Got a link to where you got your step down?
Does the NFC considered an air gap operation?

Be careful you making these video. I can do $5 dollar wrench attack next time I come to Canada… take your sat away 😂😂
