I had to make a stronger crank stripping bolster too Michael, I squashed my first one. I think I did around a dozen cranks last year and I still jump when they go bang! Hope all is well at the hospital, have a great week. Dean.
Thanks Michael. I hope all went well at the Hospital, and also at Dick’s place honing out the big-end. I think this is going to be a nice machine. Did you see the 350cc GreeBSA Challenger taking part in the Exeter Trial? (Number 54). That was a nice looking bike too. Les
I would caution you about using the drill chuck to hold an end mill. The endmill is hard throughout, unlike a drill bit which is soft in the gripping area. The end mill will slip some in the drill chuck and soon you will find the drill chuck will develop some runout as the hardened jaws will have become damaged from clamping on the hard end mill. Use a collet. Retired Tool &Die maker.
When I was replacing the pin, I found it easier to drill through the center of the pin, releasing it's grip on the flywheels, grately reduicing the pressure nessasarry to get them moving If you stop before going through, you can fill the hole with liquid nitrogen or lox. There are lots of different ways to skin an elephant.
That damn sludge trap is what killed my Victor. Did a rebuild, but it was never right. Why didn't they make that cleanout accessible without complete disassembly?
I’ve never watched an episode with more drama and tension, all around a hyd press.😁.well done Michael
Lay shaft bush has moved Mike 👍

Hot Tea, honey and lemon: comfort drink for congestion. The bike is looking great.
You can't beat a good peppery pork pie with HP brown sauce

Maybe shocking it while under pressure?
