Heating up the skates with something like a hair dryer would be easier to take it out and might even help with the residue that remains there after just tearing it out
well yes it will make adhesive come off easier but using heat is a no no because it could burn or will burn your bottom part of the mouse and make It a weird shape so the feet don't fit or look too weird.
@@tobiasgradl1538 For sure just keep it away but I don't ever recommend using heat any distance it is from the feet and that if you have the adhesive you can get like those scrapers/spungers to remove it then wipe the surface down.

The most important aftermarket mod you can do is to replace the stock switches. I’m not spending full price for dumb Logitech mice that double click after 2 months. I got myself a cheap soldering iron and replace switches on second hand mice now - last longer than brand new for less than half the price
Big fan of these mods on most mouse, as they can be a big improvement, BUT on the Viper mini in particular, I think it makes no sense to do so, as it has very good skates and cable, out of the box.
This is kinda old but i think i will do the grip tape mod because it slips out of my hand in cold weather also i will change skates because the stock ones of mine are scratched

@@CalebThornton Thanks for the video. I have a question. I recently bought Viper mini and it feels too light for me. My previous mouse had almost 90 grams, mini has 60 grams. I have little "puck" magnets 10x5mm, can place 2 or 3 of them inside mini to increase its weight? So the mouse could have at least ~80 grams?
@@oldi184 I guess you could . It might be worth trying to get use to the reduced weight though as it can create a more consistent and effortless movement. If you are going to do that though I would just make sure you secure them with something like glue so they aren't just rattling around inside it.
bit late but dont push the new mouse skates in with your fingers. it even says just place them there and then push the whole mouse down on the mousepad. this is because you want to create an air pocket in the middle of the skate. if you push that out with yor fingers the skates will only make contact to the mousepad with it edges and you dont want that.
@@CalebThornton I'm serious, your quality is amazing, the camera is good, the music is perfect, editing is perfect, channels with 2 million subscribers are worst
I feel like I need to paracord this mouse, coming from mm710 which had amazing stock cables, this one is stiff and I can feel it when I'm using it even with a bungee
I main viper mini since it came out. This is a perfect mouse for my hand but the sensor lift off distance is too high for me. Regardless what every youtuber said, it stills bothers me to the point where I switched to MM710. Is there any mouse feet thick enough that can lift the mouse higher than the stock one? Great video btw!
I think the skate thingy is a scam, the default one that came with the mouse mini is good enough, I've used a glass skate on another mini before it doesnt feel any different, the only way to have a smoother glide on this mouse is to mod the rubber surrounding the sensor itself.
@@CrystaletExo For the best feel I would recommend both paracording and using a mouse bungee. If I was to only have one I would go for a Bungee though since that can be used with any mouse down the road and it reduces a ton of drag.
Yes, I'm almost the same hand size and this is my favorite mouse so far using it with claw grip. The sensor is very accurate and consistent, almost no difference from the 3366 on my g403, it just has an issue with high lod (which can be fixed by tape trick).
