Seriously love these latest videos, because you're really focusing on that hard to explain concept of creativity and actually taking better photographs with what you have.
Watch the film Three Days of the Condor. A photographer is kidnapped by Robet Redford. The actress portrayed another photographer in The Eyes of Laura Mars btw. Then go back to being a boring portrait kind of guy. ...*shrugs
Love the tip about approaching things as though you’re being commissioned! Definitely forces you to really think about concept, direction and execution. Thank you for this video! 💗
woah, you managed to get Important Director of Very Famous Magazine to do a clip just for your video? damn, this channel's really going up in the world
Great video! I recently made a video about a shoot I did and I stepped up my game by taking some masked self portraits! I’m really happy with how they turned out!
I'd love to hear what u have to say about Juergen Teller and the portraits that are currently getting him a lot of attention and Negative Feedback from other photographers (see what I did there?)
@@ThisIsWideAngle other photographers on social media! i meant that in a more general sense, idk if any big big names in the field have commented on the whole thing
@@itsyaboypedro As I wrote in another comment: Not exactly a fan of Teller, but this is such an ignorant thing where it´s probably not that adequate to evaluate his work based on instagram memes. But i guess this is already burning, so happy outrage...
I think Juergen Teller is very interesting! His magazine shoot for W question the entire idea /genre of the stylized magazine cover photography. His photographs question why cover photography needs to be so stylized and also it surprises the viewer because this kind of ”normal” photographs is not the ones we expect to see on the cover of a big magazine. His photography for W also make the viewer question why one photograph would be any better than another. And thats why i think his cover images for W is amazing!
I loved it. I got some very nice impressions for my work as a creator. Looking forward to hit my analog camera button to capture some new moments. Best wishes from Siwtzerland Roman
Your vids always make me think differently about images/process. Foreground/background/depth of field/focal length , angle - all contribute to the image. Other photographers can inspire [e.g. Arnold Newman -Picasso + Jack Nicholson [close up], Igor Stravinsky [environmental].Post processing: faded colour images, platinum/van dyke/sepia/cyanotype etc, as well as combining layers, multiple exposures. Your evocative/nonstandard portrait in the leaves resonates. Best portrait of you to date.
Could someone help me with the concepts of my music? I cant judge my own music (im working on that) and i would love to listen what a photo-expert thinks. George im stuned with the creative vibe i feel from your videos, keep it up
Thanks for this video. Been getting annoyed with 0.95 images all over the place. It's a one-time cool effect. After that, I go back to f4 on full frame. Context is all that matters.
That’s true. Some people just want to stay boring and be average and not need to elevate things so they won’t stand out from the crowd. This subset actually helps filter out who is really talented, and who is mediocre.
Not a fan of Teller or explainer at all, and i get that we are all on the edge right now and empathy and intimacy might be emotionally hard to gasp these days, but boy is the internet overcooking this in the most ignorant fashion possible.
Nice video but... So in order to watch 4:39 minutes of video i watched 3 adds (2 at the start and 1at the end) as well as 2 more in video sponsor ads. I m sorry but this is crazy and definitely not worth it. Its like i watched a bunch of ads and two phrases about a subject.
How boring, emotionally stiff and repressed can you get? Good is good. It doesn't matter one bit how you get there. I said this before, I'll say it again: look at the faces in Gary Winogrand's photos. Get that, or maybe just let AI generate virtual portraits and go have a beer.
The light on the b&w parts is just 🤌🏽
I love your videos, George
I love George.
I love videos by George
SO MUCH LOVE FOR THE NEW WAY OF FILMING THESE! Thank you, George, I cannot wait for the next one...
Seriously love these latest videos, because you're really focusing on that hard to explain concept of creativity and actually taking better photographs with what you have.
Wow the storytelling is dope in this
George's neighbour: "why is he lying on grass talking to himself?"
what if i’m just a boring portrait kind of guy?
As long as it makes you happy
🤣

Been loving the creative ways that you're doing the shots in your videos these days! Shakes it up from the usual studio setting of every UA-camr 👏

Yes could you please share your setup you did for the b&w it was super striking!
I'd love to hear what u have to say about Juergen Teller and the portraits that are currently getting him a lot of attention and Negative Feedback from other photographers (see what I did there?)
What other photographers? As far as I could see it was a social media backlash.

Big potential for a second lead in this fluff ball!
I think it's really cool how you record your videos. that would also be my variant if I could speak in front of the camera. Very individual

Sometimes you just want a photo of uncle Ralph that looks like uncle Ralph, not always high art.

You should reach out to Chris Buck. I’d love to listen to you interview him.
I get the principles, but it would have been nice to see some examples of real portraits that follow those principles!
Check out Alec Soth “Sleeping by the Mississippi.” He does this so well in my opinion.
The king of boring pics is gonna tell us not to take boring pics.....
Can you recommend me jobs of portraits with content? Regards from Chile
yaaaaas !
Cool beans
Nothing wrong with Boring pictures!
ok yung alec soth
wow

Mainly sigma 50mm art, wider shots are a vintage 28mm 2.8 nikon slr lens
Shots fired at Willem hahaha

lol have you seen Juergen Teller’s latest garbage tho? He would disagree.
I swear that dude is just a Harvard social experiment
lol was planning on making a video on it, this was filmed before they came out
@@NegativeFeedback interested to hear your thoughts. the Riz Ahmed images? I like them. Everything they set out to do they've achieved and more.

someone show this to r/analog

How about everyone stop posting portraits online as they have absolutely no context to the viewer at all.
Exactly the only who who understood the meaning or intentions is the photographer.
So just dont post your portraits on online media😁🙏
Great video as always
Great vid!
