@@roachdoggjr419 not necessarily. There was a time in which Elton was giving away some of his valuables and letting some people use them, and Damon’s father obtained his car. However, I feel like in an interview Damon said that they might’ve been family friends.

YES thank you! I grew up like completely enthralled with people like Elton John I mean Elton John specifically but Bowie, lou, Warhol, j all of these extravagant artists and rich ballet performers etc. I didn't take well to this autotune kind of wave when it happened - (and I also understand that 6lacks work is deeper than that and it was exaggerated in contrast for Tone in this particular song - he's an outstanding vocalist as well.) That aside, I couldn't agree more that the contrast was what got me the introduction of each artist starting their contribution had me re-exploring so many genres of music that I didn't particularly hate - I mean I don't hate really any genre if it's good art- Play took a deeper dive into this generation that kind of you know was dominated by the Drake's and T pains of it all but it actually is such a beautiful like new wave form of ballad if the lyrics are truly good and original - that was my biggest qualm quan with this kind of style - the room for creativity seems low but that was just because of what was popularized. Another fallback of the generation and not the genre, but for the artists like 6LACK and more that I'm too exhausted to type out that dug deeper and stuck with this type of work and made it actually original, I commend so much more than even my idols at times. I'm also discovering new idols, revisiting familiar ones , And just being utterly shocked at my OGs hitting it with my gens alt-ish typebeat. This is what juxtaposition is, When it's done damn right!. Thank you Damon, Jamie, *******ELTON GUDDAM JOHN*********, 6LACK and everyone else involved in this collaboration ! SEE HMMMMM, GUYS LOOK IT'S 2022! AND WE CAN STILL MAKE ORIGINAL GOOD ART - JUST GOTTA ACTUALLY TRY INSTEAD OF POST ABOUT IT MORE THAN YOU WRITE This really is like a tri-generational masterpiece.

People be saying shit like 6lack and Elton John are out of place for this song. They each sound unique and their unique tones add to the song way more than you realize. The contrast between different eras of music and the variety of sound all played to the piano and electronics of the background instrumental. Beautiful.

1:45-2:13 what are the lyrics that 2D is singing in the background? It’s the back-breaking straw that made me buy the CD, and I want to sing along, and I’m too impatient to sit and listen closer to the words.
Took me a couple listens to “get it”, but yeah...this is actually amazingly good. Three distinctly different styles that weave together to tell a great, entirely relatable story.

Tired of hearing people bitch about 6lacks part, it was experimental and it works. It shows a deep contrast between Elton's signature flamboyant showman singing style and 6lacks more outgoing flow, you don't have to like a musical piece, but don't trash it for no reason.
