Way too dark imho, shooting black against black is losing a lot - could maybe use a little bounced light on the back. ;)

I see figures like those and I can't help but think that Master and Perfect Grade Gunplas are executed so much better. Especially the MGEX and PGEX gunpla kits. The kits I had in mind were the Sazabi and Unicorn Gundam Full Arsenal gunpla kits.

Yeah. Frankly, look at a twelve hundred dollar toy isn't something that I can handle.
Those who have large follower numbers don't buy anything. That's why everyone at Tested got the Sideshow "The Child" figure from THE MANADALORIAN a few months back. That's why I've said in the past that I want to reach a level where I can buy whatever I want, because then I won't have to buy anything at all.

Finally!
This is fine but I don't like the approach. At the end, despite admitting that the dslr is better you spoke as if the iPhone was. You put the emphasis on the iPhone photos being almost as good as the dslr, but at no point spoke about the dslr (the final judgement, you obviously spoke plenty about both cameras). It made me feel like I was being advertised to. If you went to a store and someone tried to tell you how this one stereo was almost as good as this other stereo so you should buy the not as good one because man, is it almost as good. I like the channel and will be back but this felt gross to me. If the camera is better, which it is, talk about that.
The advantage of the iPhone is that you can carry your editing software with you and it is great for social media. Certainly the Canon 5D Mark IV and Photoshop on a desktop will blow the iPhone/Lr mobile combo away. I wouldn't be caught dead using any phone to produce images I was getting paid for. Furthermore, a simple backdrop would have made the images much more vibrant and would have made the advantages of that fine DSLR more obvious.
@@johnblair8146 all true. But my issue wasn't with the tech. It was with what I felt was a disingenuous approach to presenting both options as equals, while only speaking from the point of view of the phone.
@@mdhindley I agree with you. As an amateur photographer of over 40 years, I think it is asinine to make make people think that a cellphone camera has anywhere near the capabilities of a full frame DSLR system. If Norm had taken the time to show the steps involved with using the DSLR and desktop editing software, he could have educated his audience about why the DSLR can be used to take far better images than the iPhone. BTW, I have both DSLRs and an iPhone with Lightroom Mobile. and that phone camera has come in handy on numerous occasions for taking candid pictures, (family, etc).

The s21 ultra is a way better phone than the iPhone 12 pro Max in many ways.they are so far ahead of the iPhone that the next iPhone won't even have all of the features that the s21 ultra has now like adaptive refresh rate, 1,500 nits, 100 times zoom, 108 megapixel camera, 8K video, the smallest hole punch, on any phone, reverse wireless charging, recording from three cameras at the same time, single take mode and a macro camera. There are many more but I cannot remember them right now. When you see these features on the iPhone 14 do not think that Apple made these features because like usual they are just stealing the features from the last Samsung. Wach the video 5 ways that the Samsung s21 ultra destroyes the iphone 12 pro max. The next iphone will not have a chargeing port. Wireless charging takes twice as long to charge as wired charging wile using 74% more power and heat. it has Samsung Dex Wich turns your tv or monitor into the screen of the phone. The repairability is much easier and cheaper. Samsung has the Google ecosystem Wich in my opinion is better than the apple ecosystem

Why the harsh light? Fix in post? Figure photography starts with basics... Backdrop too easy? Cell-phone editing? Get real big guy, who actually would make creative decisions on a cheap phone display? Lightroom is for FIXING problems created in the making of the image. Instead it's being touted as "workflow!" A necessary part of quality photography? Mind you I started doing lab work when I was THIRTEEN years old! The high school lab WAS post!
Bottom line... Good photographers will be able to create world-class images in one fell swoop! Click, there it is! All the software in the world can't save a crappy shot. I phone or a box camera? Box camera, say 120 roll film, vs an iphone? The iphone has literally a three dollar lens system! On a tiny little sensor... A Russian cheapo box camera would kick it's ass!
