For those people who are planning to apply for BCPNP Express Entry please manage your expectations. This could be different for different people but I can share my personal experience. Applied for BCPNP EE under the International Graduate stream at the end of 2020: Processing times: BC PNP- 3.5 months PR under Express Entry- 20 months and still waiting The total wait times from BCPNP till PR is 23.5 months and still waiting Pros and Cons: Pros: additional 600 CRS points, works well for individuals who have multiple years of experience from home country, no need to have Canadian experience to qualify Cons: you need to have a job offer in Canada, longer processing times than CEC or even other PNPs, more expensive, additional paperwork if you end up doing bridging WP, need to inform or even restricted on job change, PR application requires proof of funds (if you fall under FSW) Tips: always aim for higher NOC, try CEC first, also don't waste your time trying to get higher IELTS scores (doing +2 attempts) apply directly to PNP, and if you are not happy with your current job change your job first then apply to PNP Hope this will help you to make a more balanced and calculated decisions. Good luck!
Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing great. I have a question, and I do not know if you guys have already discussed it. I worked from May 2023 to February 2024 (10 months) in McBride, BC which belongs to area 3. Due to my husband's work permit application, we were forced to leave my work and the town. Today is June 2024, and I have received a new job offer to work in Ladysmith, BC, which belongs to Area 3 as well. Located on Vancouver Island. But reading the BCPNP Guide from the government does not help me to answer my question. Since the guide stated this: Regional experience: To qualify for regional experience points, you must have completed at least one year full-time (or full-time equivalent) paid employment: • in Area 2 or 3 (i.e. outside of the MVRD) • within 5 years prior to registering with the BC PNP So my question is is this regional experience accumlative? In addition, it does not say it has to be related to the job offer I am using to apply for my BCPNP not the job experience does not need to be within the same job position.
Thanks for sharing. I have a confusion about this point from the blog post, "Have a wage offer in line with BC wage rates for the occupation" can you clarify on this? Is it obvious to meet the median wage for the respective NOC or okay to have it beyond the provincial minimum? I truly appreciate your help.
I applied for non-Express Entry of BC PNP Skills Immigration - International Post-Graduate. It (below) says I do not need a language test, and I already got the nomination without it. But now there's a section of "Proof of language proficiency (required)" in the PR application, so I am unsure whether I need the test. Thanks for any comments. "Since July 1, 2012, most applicants to Provincial/Territorial Nominee classes in semi or low-skilled professions that fall under National Occupation Classification (NOC) TEER 4 and 5 are required to complete a language proficiency test from one of the following designated agencies: IELTS (General Training test only), CELPIP (General test only), and/or TEF. You must include a copy of your language test results with your application to IRCC."
After receiving ITA from Express entry IRCC, Do we need to mention about the Child whose custody, we don't have? Because how will we provide medical and passport of that child?
Hi there, my work right now in BC is under Test 4, it is permanent part-time of 23.5 hours but can still work up to 40 hrs based on the contract. I don't know if I can apply for the PR.
My daughter is physiotherapist in Pakistan. Do you think her profession is in high demand in BC? Or which provenance is in high demand for physiotherapist?
Yes sir according to my knowledge physiotherapy is one of the in demand job in BC, but you have to get licence to work there, if age permits then going as student is the best thing or you can try for PNP options
This page lists in-demand occupations in BC: www.welcomebc.ca/Immigrate-to-B-C/About-The-BC-PNP#TechOccupations 3142 - Physiotherapists appears in the list
Can you please answer my question? If i get post graduate pnp and then can i apply through express with it or i will be only eligible for pnp stream only?
Why move to Canada, extremely high qualification, very poor public service specifically in medical, extremely high cost of living...low income level, very high taxes..
