Hey Mate, I got my PR in May 2022, I was one of the lucky ones, but it was the best decision I’ve ever made, I live in Vancouver, & it’s worth it. I applied during the pandemic, didn’t think I’ll ever get it, but thank god I did, CEC was my best route.

@@alwinabraham7876 Hey Alwin, the backlog for Express Entry is pretty intense at the moment. IRCC try to process 80% of all applicants within 6 months of applying BUT due to the backlogs this is not happening at the moment. You should sign up to the moving2canada newsletter as we post regular updates there regarding backlogs and processing times.

Good job guys, please I need an advice on NOC 3216, I am a Nigerian currently practicing sonography in my country. I studied microbiology in my undergraduates, but developed passion for sonography haven worked as an imaging and laboratory assistant at the beginning of my career. I was opportuned to be trained on the job, and I have been a sonographer for over 6 years now, although without a formal certification or license. As continued education opportunities are very rare and rigid here.
I would love to know if there are courses and pathway in which I can take to meet up requirement of the NOC 3216 via the Express Entry/PNP route.

You need a ECA if it is not from a Canadian University. All the best!

An ECA would be required Pedro unless you have a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate.

Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing great. I have a question, and I do not know if you guys have already discussed it.
I worked from May 2023 to February 2024 (10 months) in McBride, BC which belongs to area 3. Due to my husband's work permit application, we were forced to leave my work and the town. Today is June 2024, and I have received a new job offer to work in Ladysmith, BC, which belongs to Area 3 as well. Located on Vancouver Island. But reading the BCPNP Guide from the government does not help me to answer my question. Since the guide stated this:
    Regional experience:
To qualify for regional experience points, you must have completed at least one year full-time (or full-time equivalent) paid employment:
    • in Area 2 or 3 (i.e. outside of the MVRD)
    • within 5 years prior to registering with the BC PNP
So my question is is this regional experience accumlative? In addition, it does not say it has to be related to the job offer I am using to apply for my BCPNP not the job experience does not need to be within the same job position.

PNP in BC costs around 1300$ per person and Express Entry is also around 1300$. Does that mean I have to pay 2600$ to get to Canada?
