On my 2005 that hard nut underneath goes all the way through with additional nut on the "front" just behind the oil cap - very easy to access and loosen 🙂
The hoses will come off much easier if you gently grab them with pliers, and gently twist back and forth to break the seal. Do this with radiator hoses and vacuum hoses as well.
Hey I have the same model for work but now I have to replace the rack and pin it’s not even holding fluid to long should I replace the reservoir as well?
@@NoneMechanic101 thank you I have one more question, my ac starting blowing hot air so I put more Freon in it now when I turn the ac on the motor jerks until I turn it off do you have a clue?
Don't you turn on the engine for 5 seconds or so to flush out the additional power steering fluid that is still in both of the hose lines? That fluid is dirty and will hasten the need to do another repair if the additional fluid isn't removed. Several other videos on this same topic show the engine being turned on and steering wheel moved from side to side for about 5 seconds. This flushes out additional dirty transmission fluid.
I too have swapped out a few of those reservoirs and it does get quieter. Nice work Hector.
Thank you 007. It did get quieter

Good Job Hector, you need to get some LED lighting for your garage to light everything up better,
I'm working on it. Thank you.

Thank you
I spent two hours trying to take the large rear hose out without success. I a stumped. My tools were a pair of pliers and a slotted screw driver.
That's the hardest part of the job. You can do it!
Thanks this was very helpful
You’re so very welcome
Thanks!!
No problem!
I will get a set of hose pliers tomorrow from HF.
Great🔧
Huh I didn't know that about the PS reservoir filter. Does the 2000 year and down have that as well?
I'm not sure but it's something to look into.

If the rack is what's bad. I wouldn't change the reservoir.
