- The first generation Kia Soul was a car that proved you didn't need to spend a lot to buy something individualistic. Perhaps the Soul was Kia's coming of age, the moment when it realised that it could build interesting design-led models and that these cars would be bought by people who weren't put off by what had previously been a bargain basement badge. As a used buy it makes a lot of sense. There's plenty of stock to choose from, the Soul has proven reliable and although residual values have held up fairly well, the car was cheap to begin with and is an affordable used proposition. If you're going to get a MK1 model, best to hunt for one of the later mildly facelifted versions which appeared from 2012 onwards. Here's how to find a good one.

I just purchased a 2013 KIA Soul base model and it suits me fine. Bluetooth, Sirius Radio XMS using the trial version at the moment purchased August 5, 2022. It has a manual transmission and the 1.6L GDI Engine. I have owned a Fiesta when they first came out in 1978 I enjoyed it as well. the Soul has more room and storage and as a four door instead of just 2. I like the responsive steering and handling of the car. They put 195/60R15 on the car when it's suppose to have the 195/65R15's. but drives just find. It is a little stiff driving on uneven roads. The seats aren't very comfortable they are hard. Overall after having it for 6 days it's a doable vehicle for me at almost 70 years old.

I'm going to get a 2013 Kia soul tomorrow in exchange for my 2014 skoda yeti Diesel i live in a ulez area so need a similar car.
@CarandDrivingCarReviews i have just brought a 2012 Hunter edition 1.6 petrol its a very nice drive,gearbox & steering are really good,power to is great not much body roll either I'm impressed.
How many miles can I expect to get from this car?, 2012-2013 years.. with proper maintenance of course.
