Lol, Jimmy D and his Boyle Heights T Shirt, thought I was the only one who has heard of that city in So.Cal,,, LOL, Great job once again Mr.Scary,,, Thanks for the Awesome Guitar sound, and Thanks for sharing your video, Great job.
Ray West is killer with Spread Eagle. This was only his second time playing with the band. No rehearsals, fist time he played with them was the night before. Hard situation to succeed in.
yeah Michael.....he got fired after 2 shows....how the fuck is he supposed to know the words????...Lynch is such an asshole....didn't give the dude a chance
He did a record with Dino Jelusic. Hands down the best young melodic metal singer today. On record AND live. George couldn't keep that going so...maybe its him thats the dickflap not the singers.

Jacob Glanton from Dallas, TX was in a Dokken tribute band until recently called Without Warning and he has so much power, range and tone that I can honestly say he sounds better than Don Dokken in his prime. Young guy too. Looks pretty cool as well. Somebody ought to hit him up and introduce them for an audition. Not kidding. George would thank me.
I was at show #1 the night before.. I knew it was Rays first show & it was way better than this . Tooth & Nail was skipped both nights because Ray couldn’t read the lyrics off the monitor he keeps looking at , Hell who needs a monitor to know the Words to DOKKEN SONGS
Saw Ray West sing with Spread Eagle recently for a weekend of gigs in PA/NYC/NJ end of July. He can barely sing Switchblade Serenade. It's over when a singer let's the crowd sing for them. Was quite disappointing.
That singer 1) has/had major pitch issues the whole set 2) is not cool at all 3) the person doing monitors was not helping matters on the singer hearing himself and 4) the front of house sound tech was pretty much deaf. Not a good combo. Glad people showed up to support and it is still more fulfilling to be a has-been than a never-was so there is that. Glad George is out there doing it when not making guitars nowadays. The bass players tone was all wrong in the house and that drummer should have one of his feet nailed to the stage so he doesn't try that out-of-time double bass stuff.
George looks like he's always fighting the guitar, i dont see harmony between him and his instrument. EVH looked effortless, and so did his hands. George Looks like he's getting electrocuted
@@earld158 i set up,his gear at musicians institute, and all he did was play voodoo chile, and complain the amp didnt have enough effects.. I'll take jake, zack, and ritchie kotzen everyday of the week over poor george, he is still fighting the instrument and looks wanky. Yes i play
That’s George’s style when bending and changing left hand positions. It’s his own style of stage show while he’s playing his own style of guitar. He’s easily in the top 10 of 80s hard rock guitarists And still becomes a better player every day much like Jeff Beck does. He is in my top 5 guitarists of all time. A self-employed original musician for 40 years. Builds and sells original guitars also. He’s not sitting around typing stuff on your UA-cam video or my UA-cam video :)
don't really know what I'm watching....It's like George is caught in a nightmare with 3 loser wannabe's......Come on, George....you're much too good for this
WTF was the first song? Can't tell at all. Ray West in Spread Eagle is fantastic. Ray West in this cover/ bar band with the overhyped guitar player...not so fantastic.
I think that whole system is stupid, paying people to rehearse your songs, what if they don't show up for the show,or worse freeze up before you hit the stage,I think that whole concept should change,I saw it happen in my bands, mann get the drugs quick,we got a show to do!!!😲 All that rehearsal and you dry up on show night...😬
In professional bands you get an annual salary for playing all shows and rehearsals. When it's a bar band you get paid at the occasional gig and paid for rehearsals. This is obviously the latter.
I don’t see an issue with his performance, if this was only his second performance playing live, I’m sure he’s nervous and not confident with the material yet, it’s not easy to front a band, there are also ZERO WOMEN there in the front row. You’re performing in front of a bunch of old dudes who either play guitar or wish they played guitar. Kind of hard to get a vibe going, So there are a lot of layers to this. George wasn’t playing all that great either, tried to embarrass him as well with blaming him for knocking over one of the drum attachments. Unprofessional passive aggressive BS. It takes time to gel live without rehearsing. George should know this. As you’re gigs are your rehearsals.
Jesus i would have fired him at sound check if he couldn't even practice the songs to at least know them yikes hope he didn't get paid and it was a party jam sessions . no wonder George had his cap on and his head down or he would have shown his disappointment and embarrassment
LOVE this drummer, the dude is so ALIVE it's FUCKING phenomenal!!
yeah...Jimmy D'Anda.... Bullet Boys ex drummer
Wow Flesh And Blood is such a great track. Ray Gillen lives on.

Yeah, rock and roll isnt for everyone.
He fired him . Fact

Perhaps George needs to contact Tim"RIPPER"Owens and see what kid of ENERGY he would bring to the set list.
Look..Don isn't the greatest. But this guy makes me realize how good he actually is..
yeah this is tough.
Thanks for sharing 🤘
You are welcome, thanks for watching!
Ray got stage presence and his first night was damn good IMO.
George still amazing, good to see. Why the Bono shades.. so 1999
I was there front row and couldn't even here him the whole set.
sound man probably high
George is the last of the 3 Eddie/Randy rhoads
Agree, I also add Jake E. Lee to that team
@@MayweatherjrWONandsoTrump Warren DeMartini as well

George deserves a Halford type of talent He waited long enough. Or a young new talent Undiscovered gold throat. Tough to listen even after Don

Yeah. I haven't heard that in a good long while
Brett Favre can REALLY nail those tapping moves. Hands?
Did he ever play love power from the mama head live? Biggest hits from his solo album and can’t find it live anywhere.

George use to use Kramer, that guitar is essentially a Kramer guitar. In ESP defense, many Kramer parts were sourced from ESP.

That sucks that lynch fired Ray West! Give ray a damn chance george!
Gillen was the right Ray for this song
Ray is missed for sure. Great observation!
Katt Mars is one of the top L.A. rock vocalist. Call Him.
Better than Don Dokken
Does anyone know which headstock tuner George uses?
i was there
How was the singer live? He sounds kinda weak here, but it's always hard to tell on video recordings
From what I've heard he fired the singer
He did fire the singer. Now I see why.
I was at show #1 the night before.. I knew it was Rays first show & it was way better than this . Tooth & Nail was skipped both nights because Ray couldn’t read the lyrics off the monitor he keeps looking at , Hell who needs a monitor to know the Words to DOKKEN SONGS
people who weren't huge Dokken fans. I grew up a total metalhead in the 80s and only know the word to a couple songs off my top of the head
Ray really didn’t sound that bad
it just lacked any energy, etc I thought. Just kind of meh. I think he has a good voice- he just didn't work for this
Yes energy and loudness was lacking. Too monotone through entire songs.
Now I know why George canned the guy
My sentiments exactly.
Why ???? Tho
Who’s playing drums
@Dirk Digler dirk stick to porn. Lynch still rocks.
I agree he sounds like shit. And was spewing over George's guitar at the beginning.

GEORGE IS ACTING LIKE A KARDASHIAN!!
Nope. The frontman can't sing.

News update: Ray fired!
This guy killed Ray Gillen a second time
Really a Billy bass cover?
ooofff
Oh no.
