They should remaster the trilogy for the switch. Its the only way to satisfy the dutch pikmin fan community, aka me.
My first time with Pikmin was on the Wii u with the Pikmin 3 demo, I legit played it for days cause it was so big I then played the other games it's truly a great fun franchise

One Easter Egg I've noticed in the short films: when the digger collapses at the end of Occupational Hazards, the ship's research pod (the bow of the ship that accompanies Olimar and Louie in dungeons) values the debris at 10,000,000,000,000,007 Pokos (I may have gotten the number of zeroes wrong, though).
The 7 extra Pokos is from a Bulborb that was buried underneath the digger when it collapsed, as Red Bulborbs were worth 7 Pokos in Pikmin 2

Well the Ship is still functional at least, because of Pikmin 3 deluxe.

Pix R1D2 I guess that makes a sense. PIKMIN 3 is easily the best looking game on the Wii U.

Even more interesting about olimars name is that if you take the sounds (O-Ri-Ma) and flip them around you get (Ma-Ri-O)
That's because "O", "Ri", and "Ma" are Japanese characters: お, り, and ま.

Cool fact: one of the treasures in pink in 2 is a Japanese hanafuda playing card, which is another one of Nintendo’s products - Nintendo was actually a card company before producing video games!

I love the drawings.
Takes me back to when I was a kid when I was bored and would just run around in games and see random details. Nintendo was always the best at hiding things that reward this kind of behavior and I’m glad they still do it. I feel like there’s so much more to do nowadays, so I’m never so bored that I’m just going to run around the ocarina of time map or around the castle in Mario 64, but Nintendo is still at it adding little details.

Pretty sure it's from some form of Call of Duty, not sure which specific one, but it comes from steadying a sniper while scoping in, similar to Olimar holding the camera steady. Neat reference.

Damn, how did you miss the biggest easter egg? All of Pikmin 2's overworld maps are built off the top of 1's. You can line them up perfectly and it's a neat little detail.

The first time I discovered the first Totaka's song featured, I left the game running while I went to go and do something and just so happened to arrive shortly before the tune started.
It may be worth adding an annotation that Pikmin 3 Deluxe includes all the Olimar logs as part of the side story missions, and the code data logs are replaced with new lore files
I guess people didn't forget about Pikmin!

I love the Pikmin series so much, it is my favorite nintendo series and one of my favorite video game series along with Plants vs Zombies, Far Cry, and Doom. I love the easter eggs of the cave drawings of pikmin, there is so much lore we don't know that will (hopefully) be unraveled in Pikmin 4.
Can I just say, I love the video and everyone (Pikmin included) have a beautiful singing voice! Id give it a 9/10 rating

EASTER EGG (SPOILERS) FOR PAPER MARIO ORAGAMI KING do not click unless you have beaten the 4th streamer
So obviously the power, wisdom, and courage orbs are references to the Zelda series, but a cool detail that you might not have noticed is that if you press X to call upon Olivia in the main room of the underwater diamond after you get all the orbs, she says “you have power, courage, and wisdom, but that’s a secret to nobody” which is a reference to “it’s a secret to everybody”, the line from the first Zelda game when you discover the hidden rooms. If you make an Easter egg video for the new game, please include this cool fact!

I noticed those 5 olimar video logs in 3 actually made an appearance in the olimar side stories in 3 deluxe. Neat they arent hidden anymore. The louie one doesnt show up though.
I think the weird 4th jingle is a programming error. That is the original recording of the sound the pikmin make when they grab an object. Due to a memory leak or something, it isn't at double pitch/speed. The same thing can be heard in mario 64, where the Boo laugh is occasionally at the proper speed, making it way scarier.
I always thought the pikmin singing when there was no treasure on the map was creepy. Especially in the caves when that's literally the only sound you hear besides a few water drips here and there
The song the koppaites song is the same tune that plays every morning when your ship touches down

The secret Olimar cutscenes are actually featured in pikmin deluxe as the cutscenes for the "Olimar's Assignment" side story.
after rescuing Louie in Pikmin 2, you get access to recipes in the Piklopedia, and the Water Wraith is "inedible" and "causes internal thundering" which might be the reason he's so opposed to seeing the Plasm Wraith
In Pikmin 3 Deluxe Louie and the others have enemy logs and says "The Plasm Wraith smells like citrus but is poisonous and inedible" And Olimar states "The Plasm Wraith is similar to the water wraith"
