- A metal cover of the song "Invincible" and "Arthas, My Son" from Wrath of the Lich King. These are by far my most favourite songs in the entire Warcraft universe together with Arthas being one of the best characters.
This one has been in production before I even started making Hymn of the Firstborn Son. It has taken an enormous amount of time to convert these songs and mixing them properly, but it was worth it! Let me know what you think in the comments below.

just noting that it´s not human common but elf (not sure which one´s ) language version.
It is common language used by humans (the old common with latin and other old languages, while the modern one adds english words and can be understand by every race), elves have their own called elven (you can hear it in Sylvanas' song), which has DnD origins

I'm back here, 4 years after the first time I heard this, to say that it is still amazing. It has never not been amazing.
The first time this came up, I was initially going "wait, is my display bugging out?". Then the core chorus hit and I got hit right in the nostalgia

Arthas is one of my favorite characters in the franchise and I think he is what draws many people to be enthralled by the game. I was very hesitant to listen to this. Invincible holds tremendous emotional weight with me. For me, it represented a melancholy that lingered with me for almost a decade of playing WoW. However, I cannot deny the magnificent work you've done here. Bravo, and please - keep up the work.
I only found this like a month ago, and it's still one of the best things I've ever heard. I've constantly got either this or Daughter of the Sea (another gorgeous performance) playing on loop!

Takera wrong. Arthas had an elaborate plan to nurture the world's greatest heroes into the ultimate fighting force so he could kill and raise them so they could go raise hell for him but when they got to his throne he didn't follow through. to name just one thing he did wrong.

Arthas novel has him outright kill Ner'zul and his sickly kid self inside his headspace meaning Ner'zul was most likely meant to be destroyed or at least dormant while arthas held the wheel to the lich king Mobil. legion shows Ner'zul was still kicking though so It looks like dormant. Arthas screwed his own master plan up
I guess, according to the wow wiki the very first soul that was taken by frostmourne was arthas' his own. If he had any control after that is kinda a blur really. What's interesting is that after you kill arthas and do a quest to get Jaina's locket she'll say this.

Maybe there was a bit of arthas! or not.
with or without a soul he's still the same person. it altered his perception since he says something along the lines of feeling nothing at all since picking up frostmourne during Wc3. I think the best way of describing it might actually be that scene in new vegas where your character has a conversation with their own brain while its in a jar, the brain argues that without hormones glands etc it doesn't care about feelings. In warcraft it seems like the soul is what provides empathy and other social skills. The body kind of turns into a psychopath without one. Loosing his soul made him into a psychopath but an arthas is still an arthas.

Man, you have recreated two of my favorite songs in the entirety of Warcraft. Arthas in my opinion, is just such a cool character, with a crazy story. I can't stop watching this. You are an incredible artist. I seriously hope Blizzard reaches out to you!
Thank you so much! :) I absolutely love the Arthas story myself. Because I believe almost everyone can relate to wanting to do the right thing and only wanting the best for someone, but you end up messing it all up in a big way. Of course Arthas was inluenced by the Lich King, but he believed what he did was right at one point. Not to mention for me personally the most chilling moment is when Terenas holds him in his arms when he is defeated. After I became a father myself I can't help but think about Terenas holding Arthas when he was born, and all the great things he wished for his son. Only to see him fall from grace like that. So yeah, love the Arthas story :)
Skar Productions I couldn't agree with you more. Although he was being influenced by the Lich King, he was tricked by Mal'Ganis to follow him to northrend, after being confronted in Strathome. I love his story, his fall to grace, etc. That being said, your cover is incredible!

oh man... Arthas (Lich King) is one of my fav WoW characters, and WotLK is by far my fav expansion. I always loved these 2 songs 'cause they'd always take me right back to the icy throne of Icecrown Citadel and bring back all the memories. the original versions are perfect, but this... THIS is FUCKING EPIC! i mean, the longer i listened the bigger goosebumps i got! not to mention how, for a few minutes there, i forgot i have a jaw attached to my face cause it just fell off. i never thought a song could blow me away like this, i literally started to cry because of all the strong emotions i got from this song!
