I usually skip Airbnb videos because they are not practical for daily living, but your inclusion of these additional tips makes watching them worthwhile. Thanks!
Happy to hear it! Thank you for the sweet feedback 😊
Lovely home; I really like the new feature you've added to identify ways to maximize tiny living in each home you visit.🏘 Keep up the good work 😍😍😍
Thank you! 😊❤️
That two story deck is amazing (Bert and Ernie, LOL!), and a nicely designed tiny. Quite a bit of storage, nice living room area, and I like what they did in the loft and bathroom. I agree with almost all of your suggestions on making it a permanent live-in tiny, including the screened in porch. Thanks for the tour!
😄☺️❤️you are most welcome!
I absolutely LOVE the outdoor areas!!
Can’t usually say I enjoy the sponsor segments, but yours are always entertaining. Nice house and tips provided at the end.
I agree with you. Their's are the most entertaining I've seen of all the content creators I watch.
Thank you so much! We do our best to make them fun 😄
High praise! Thank you kindly ☺️
I would make this set up widddder indeed :-)
We hear that! We’re always love 10 ft wide tiny homes, makes a world of difference for things like furniture placement 😃
I absolutely love when you offer your own ideas at the end! Thank you
,
So happy to hear that! 🥰
I like it that you're appearing in your videos. 😊
Happy to hear it! 😊 We plan to post tours with us here and there, at least once a month 🏡✨
Yep big L shaped sofa is a great idea. Id want slighty smaller windows in living room only because i like to hang art work and have some books. 😊. The deck is awesome space for rainy and sunny days. Bravo. Love seeing you both. Have a great day.
Ooh we definitely appreciate that; we love art too! 🥹
That was fun! Thanks for your tiny content, you two! ❤
Glad you enjoyed it, and appreciate your sweet support! ❤️
Yall are my favorite ❤, love the humor you both add to the videos, soo good❤
Ahh we so appreciate you! 🥰
Y'all crack me up! Needed that giggle facing stupid tornados here in central Oklahoma all day tomorrow 🤨. Love this tiny home and really love the outdoor decks. Btw my hubby and I did the butt measurements in our 5th wheel RV and we've got a 2 butt kitchen 😅. Thanks so much for another interesting and wonderful video 🤗🤗🤗
Oh man! Tornado weather is terrifying. Hope it all passes quickly with no issues. 💕 Love to hear about the booty scale being put to good use! 😆Two🍑🍑 is a great size 👌
After living in my 480 square foot tiny house I can say this is the secret to tiny living. If you have small spaces inside, make big spaces outside. Less cost, less insurance, less heating and cooling bills, but large open spaces for entertaining and relaxing.
I have a huge screened in porch, fire pit awning, and next year, i will have a huge outdoor kitchen.
If an inside room is too small, just add it outside
Wonderful feedback from your experience! Are you still living tiny?
@@TinyHouseExpedition I call it the biggest "tiny house" in the world. Its 480 square feet living but attached under roof is 1800 square feet total. So 3 times the living is outside, the screened in porch, carport, and fire pit awning.
This year I am working on a 16'x12' screened in porch addition, next year a 20'x20' covered attached outdoor kitchen, then lastly the year after that a 15'x15' mediation/herb garden with lattice roof for semi shade and raised planter boxes on all four walls with a water feature in the middle to hear as I take a nap in my hammock.
So am I still living tiny? I would say yeah as my living air conditioned space is still 480 square feet. I have been in my tiny house since 2012 when I built it, and have added to it every year since, and have plans to do one house project every year until I retire in 3yrs at 47yrs old. Tiny house means smaller, insurance, no mortgage, smaller ac/heating bills, and less to maintain/repair. I love it
In my screened in porch I will put a 6'x6' corner shower with plastic deck boards that have a sheet of metal that leans under the floor to collect the shower run off and goes to a P-trap to the house drain line and will also put a heated, jetted, free standing tub, I call it a one person hot tub, but better as with a hot tub you have to maintain the water, bleach/ph level with a tub you just drain the water after you are done, and with a tankless heat on demand water heater its endless hot water. I will reenforce the floor of the deck under the tub with 6'x6' beams and cinder blocks to support the weight of the water and me.
@@RossMalagarie sounds awesome & kudos!! “Tiny” is all about perspective. Outdoor living space is where it’s at. Please let us know if you might want to be featured on our channel. 😊✨
I'm totally with you on the pivotable kitchen and L-shaped couch and L-shaped island! ! 👍 your suggestions are on point!
We love the comfort & function of those L-shapes! 😁😊✨
Really enjoy watching your videos! And you have great ideas to share with us all. Your banter & way you 2 work together on these is also very nice, relaxing & inviting. You're very friendly & inviting.
Just wanted you to know...
So happy to hear it, and thank you very much for the supportive feedback! We’re really enjoying doing this series. 🥰
I am really digging this new video format of ' How to improve XYZ" , Great AD Christian, one day I may actually purchase a power bank . I do like this model and how they set it up- I agree with your suggested amendments. Esp. the Counter/range and handrailing. Shivering black bell thumbs up and hearts!
Thank you kindly! We’re really have fun with these-getting nerdy & also sharing ideas from all the incredible small spaces we’ve been & built ourselves. 😁😊💕
Ooo!! That deck is amazing!!
You’re right, they’ve done a great job with this home… It is set up beautifully for short term, but could easily become full time with a few modifications. Love the suggestions you made.
Absolutely, Loretta! 💕
Hey Christian and Alexis, I love your new aproche on Tiny Living🎉.
You get to get out and experience "Tiny"s yourselves 🕺🎶!
I love those landings,and pitched roof👍.
I don't know why more folks don't do just this🥴.
I definitely would cozy up the living space with an L shaped couch and put a closet or dressers at the end of the bedroom👋.
JO JO IN VT 💞
Thank you sweet Jo Jo!! We’re having a lot of fun with this series. Our plan is to still mostly post tiny home dwellers stories and mix in tour with us at least once a month. Also agreed on the landings-a real game changer for loft accessibility & ease of use! 😃😊
I love this home 😍
imagine pulling the bed about 2 feet from the end wall in that loft and use those 2 feet for a closet. Install a pole for hanging clothes all the way across the space, a shelf below the hanging clothes for shoes or folded clothes, and possibly storage under the shelf for off season items. that is a lot of storage space, plus it would bring the bed closer to the windows and the stairs.
In the kitchen that cooktop would be better if it was recessed into the countertop so its flush with the countertop, and when it isn't hot it becomes useable counter space. The convection oven could be below it under the counter, and a small microwave/hood vent would cover most of the cooking needs.
And I can tell you from experience that Oster convection oven will last about 5 years, ( used very regularly ) I have seen 3 or 4 of them last about the same amount of time.
Love your closet idea!!
This Is absolutely gorgeous ❤❤ wholesome and homey 🏡 🎉🪅.
Thank You for sharing this listing with us Alex & Chris.
❤
Ahh we appreciate you! Always make us smile 😊💖
Everybody else who does ads in the middle of their vids I skip through - but not you too characters! LOL. Your sponsors are lucky! I always love your silly humour. You know, I was just about to say that you two should be consultants for folks building tiny homes, and then Christian started to introduce what you'd do to this tiny for permanent living (and making it even better for guests - like the weird handrails!) I think you could put together some videos of great tiny house ideas (sort of like you did by featuring some of the really good elements of some of your previous tiny house vids) for those who are interested in building. So many people forget to think about things like where to put their garbage - and their recycling - or as you mentioned, where to put shoes or glasses or keys when you come in the door, etc. You've probably seen enough cool products too (like these sliding drawers) that you could feature them (sponsorship opps!) and help bring greater awareness of important features or items that make your life better in a tiny. Storage ideas, especially. I particularly like how the stairs in this tiny were done with all that open space below. I may not have divvied it up into all those cabinets - I may have put in some really wide drawers. But of course it depends on what you need to store. Anyway, just my two cents worth! Always fun to hang out with you two!
Thanks for hanging with us! And love your idea of doing videos focused on ideas for different small space solutions 😄 on it!
Nice house. Great video. Loved your suggestions!
Thank you & glad you enjoyed it!! 😊✨
I really like this home! Your helpful hints work nicely with it as well.
Love the deck & the outdoor furniture.
Great Suggestions. Agree with them all.
Thank you! 🙂
Love you guys ✌️
🥰💕💫
Not too far from AVL (I lived there for several years)! Super rad! 💖
Edit: Oh, and I absolutely love y'all's sponsorship segments. Y'all are a hoot!
😆
Thank you very much! 😆😄
Cute place!
Happy Friday THE😀n This is Gonna b so Great🔥🔥🔥👍….
Happy happy! Hope you enjoy the show 💃🕺🪩💫
Great loft design. I could go for one you can walk into. Good bath as well. Sufficient counter and storage!
Agreed! The bathroom storage is on point in this house 👌👌✨
i love your ideas..
Thanks 😊
Agree with assessment of kitchen appliances. The Cafe tbl n chairs not necessary if counter or island eating. Was there a window to look out on the sofa/ sink side? Great lighting all around. I would stay there. 🎉
Yes, to both! 😁
Interesting!
You 2 are awesome and do a great job! ❤️❤️
Ahh thank you so much! We’re having a great time with this series 🥰
That outlet above the kitchen counter needs to be GFCI due to the close proximity of water supply. Makes me wonder what else is not "up to code". 🕵♂️
Good catch.
We believe it’s on a GFCI breaker which is acceptable alternative. Kudos for looking for the right safety measures! Something that for sure is overlooked if you don’t know what to look for 😅
Very nice video 👍👍. rather like this home. Were I to sleep upstairs, would need a pony wall or dresser at foot of bed so as to not fall down the stairs at 2a.m. thank you😊
Good feedback 😅
I would add a big window that would open up onto the deck.
Ooh really like that idea! A pass-through window would be lovely ✨
I would buy a wider tinyhome!!!
We get that! We’re huge fans of 10 ft wide models
i have the same little bistro set on my porch
A real cutie!
Loved it. Where can I get one of the hanging macrame loungers that was on the lower deck ? it looked like a lounger instead of a chair.
Found it, but it’s pricey! islandlifehammocks.com/products/cobble-mountain-summit-chair 😅 we tagged some similar chairs less pricey options in the video-see the description 🙂
@@TinyHouseExpedition thanks wow yes pricey. The ones you tagged I have and I have a very pretty hanging hammock with fringe. I loved the look of the one in video too. I love hammocks our lanai has 3 and a hanging chair
I want one.¡¡¡¡¡¡
The living room should have a big french door leading into the porch.
Dig that idea!! Really helped connect the spaces better and bring more light inside
I agree with all of the suggestions. I too would want a L shape sofa, but I would want one that had a pull out bed for visitors. I would love to see a skylight or two. I do not like the design of open space under kitchen countertops, so I'd have more drawers. Alexis, I definitely agree about the towel rack. I would walk into that all the time. I also would have designed the decks so there was also access the top deck through bedroom somehow. At least have stairs to the top deck instead of a ladder because it would be difficult for clumsy people like me to carry things up such as a glass of wine, coffee, food, etc. This is more cosmetic and not a necessity, but I would prefer a bifold door to the deck with a screen if the porch was not screened in, but preferably a screened in porch so the doors could be open and it would definitely open up the living space. Last, as a luxury item later on, a hot tub on the deck would be sweet.
Great thinking on the stairs to the upper deck! I’m a bit clumsy, and felt a little uneasy on the ladder 😅
Came in late! Is this an Air B&B?
It is 😁 (or was-unfortunately, no longer available). We really like the layout. At the end we share ideas for how to make it even better for full-time use!
Do you happen to have any information about the builder?
Unfortunately we don’t :/
The teeny table and chairs in the living area definitely needed to go...soooo pointless. Further, the bedroom design just seemed really wrong...how about turning the mattress 90 degrees so it was against the back wall? Otherwise it seemed a poor use of that space and also a hazard...falling off the mattress and down the stairs. Overall liked seeing the alternative ideas and options discussed.
Thank you for sharing your feedback! We’re not a big fan of tiny round tables but are happy they put some kind of table in there-a real must-have for us in tiny homes 😁
Could I know the cost PlS ?
We don’t know 🙃
@@TinyHouseExpedition Thank you
no offense meant because you are good people and funny, too, BUT, I preferred the videos when the homeowner did the tour. I do like the end where you note what you would change though.
Most of our videos will continue to feature tiny homeowners. About once a month, we’ll share an episode with us. 🙂
This home doesn't look like it was made with love.
I thought the handrail was placed for small children , remember that this is an airbnb
Not sure about that because there is just one bed, but maybe. 🤔
TYFS! Christian & Alexis 🤴🏻👸🏻😁💯🥰 Very Nice TH love the 2 story deck also! What A Great Feature! It definitely gave me some ideas!😁
I enjoy your recommendations and giving us destination locations too!
Many Blessings To Yall Always In Jesus Mighty Name Amen And Hallelujah! Have Fun Be Safe!❤❤❤
Thank you very much! So happy to hear your kind feedback. ❤️ We’re really enjoying doing these tours 😊
Do they ever put a basement in under a tiny houuse?.....I have seen one-piece basement option to use in case of storms.
You certainly could! There are some examples out there for foundation-based tiny homes. A few tiny homes on wheels communities in Texas offer storm shelters for their residents. 🙂
Is this not for rent anymore? I see the comment about not being an Airbnb does that mean it's just for sale?
Unfortunately, since we shot this tour, it’s no longer available for rent. And we couldn’t reach the owners to find out what happened. 🙃
I will buy this house. Contact me.
The inside space was way way way to small for me with nothing to remind me of home or cozy or really anything. I also felt like the outside deck area space was almost wasted- again needed maybe a fireplace. I don’t know. Not my cup of tea but maybe someone else’s. I still love your channel and I guess I can’t like every single one ?
Thanks for the vlog !!
So true! Not every design or layout will speak to you. 😅 We do agree that there’s a lot more you can do with the epic amount of outdoor living space. 👌 Appreciate your feedback & love! ❤️
It's not fun when you have to write a page or two of how this home could have been better. So I'll just say that the builder must not live tiny because if he or she did, they would already know a lot of what's wrong with this build.
That’s a fair point. A builder who doesn’t live tiny full-time should certainly try it out beforehand to better understand how to optimize the design.
It’s pronounced Lester, not Leichester. My daughter lives there, and I used to live in neighboring Asheville.
Good to know 😅
I hope you got paid for this promo.
Absolutely did 😁
It's a little to snug!
For sure 😃
*Крутой дом 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻*
Thank you for watching! 😊
