OMG I just did this method and my hair feels 💯 percent better THANK YOU FOR SHARING
I trim my own hair (type 4) and 3 year old daughter's (type 2-3) every 4 months or so and whenever I find knots. After it's cleaned, I twist then trim. I don't trust anyone with our hair. Even though I live in nyc, its queens and there's no natural or black hair salons near me and don't want or have the time to travel to Brooklyn, Manhattan, or bronx. Also some of the places I found cost more than when I was relaxed and I didn't go to the cheapest salons back then. If I make a mistake, who cares. Our hair's curly. LOL. 😂
I trim my own hair some professionals are a little scissor happy
You have to a serious conversation with them. I getting my ends trimmed at the beginning of each season. And I trim 1/4 inch or less. So far that has worked for. I trimmed my hair myself and it was not a good look. My fro was lump sided
Karen Walton this is exactly why I want to try a professional... Because my fro don't look right doing it myself... Lol
tequilabnatural ikr
I usually get my hair straightened every 6 months and get my hair professionally trimmed but after seeing your video, I am going to try to do it myself.
Yes! Your hair looks so good! I love the way my hair feels after a fresh trim! I trim my own (and daughters) hair.
I trim my own hair. I feel I need to go to professional to get a good trim/cut, but I'm scared of them taking off to much of my hair. But a good cut would minimize split ends. Thanks for share.. video was great.
thankz for sharing girl your hair looks beautiful!!!
Great video!
I usually go to a professional to trim my hair, but now I'm starting to learn how to do it myself
Thx for the trimming tip. Never thought of twisting it afterwards.
I usually do it but today I actually had my cousin do it. I love trimming my hair. Gives your ends a chance to renew
You did an awesome job. Yes I trim my own hair. I go to a stylist once a year to get a precision trim.
I'm going to do this next wash day, because the ends of my hair have been bothering me. It's dry and whenever I do my regular twists, the twists end up knitting at the end. So definitely will do
yesss!! A fellow Grenadian youtuber!!! I just subbed!!
I trim my own & love it after a trim to me they are so necessary
i trim my own. I don't trust stylists lol
It's amazing...Yesterday I just used the same method thee exact same way that you did but now I feel like my hair is a little shorter.
Thanks soo much😍😍😍😘😘
Thanks
You look like a brown skinned Diana Ross,, Great video.
Brother with real natural healthy hair SHE DOES
TFS great tips I do go to a professional Tho tried it once and it was a complete fail lol ❤️❤️
I trim my own. I put my hair in twists and trim that way 😊
me too!
Hi, I watch your cideos all the time. I absolutely wish I could trim my own hair but in looking at your technique would you say that your hair is even all the way around? I guess my problem is that my hair is layered, so I'm not sure if Im trimming hair that is really ragedy ends or hair that is a part of a longer layer; if I'm making sense..LOL
I really want to try and trim my hair its just I don't know how to distinguish the difference of split ends and regular ends and it more cheaper to trim your hair by yourself
This is nice. Your hair is so full. I just did a trim using this method about a week ago.
QUESTION: Do you shed a lot? If not, do you have a way of preventing it?
Usually, when i hold a section of my hair and "stretch" out the ends using my fingers on the other hand (like you did at 1:05) shed hairs come out....a lot!!! Happens a lot during detangling.
The ends of my hair are straight. I'm wondering if those are split ends, or they're naturally straight (my hair has never been chemically straightened, pressed or flat ironed). Thanks!
I feel like giveing up on my natural hair all of the big knots i have to cut it more then i grow it plus the brakage omg
+Andrea Banks Do you have a regimen? Here's something that might help > bit.ly/VPJFreeGuide
I trim my own, had a really bad salon experience
i only trim my hair once by a stylist, i have done dusting but i didn't use the correct shears smh lol , but tomorrow i am going to a salon for a trim
Hi nice job.. Just one thing I have trouble trimming the crown of my hair.. I don't know if trimming straight up is the correct way..
+Natividad Torres Thank you. If you don't feel comfortable then it's probably best to see a stylist :)
i have not trim my hair for over a year now, cuz when i go to the stylist they cut to much of and am not comfortable enough to trim it myself. dont know what to do and i feel the knots not good feeling
I trim my own hair. One to many bad experiences with a professional trimming my hair. I only go to a professional when a hair cut and style.
I trim/cut my own hair as I don't wear it straight so the unevenness is not evident :)
+never too old to learn Ok, that makes sense.
I trim my own hair.
I normally trim my own hair... I want to get it done by a professional someday to see if it makes a difference...
I trim my own hair
I need a trim... Or a shape up.
I trim my hair myself I'm too scared to go to a professional
Synquis Harris me too. I can't seem to trust anyone enough. When I had a perm I went for a trim and my hair went from almost bra strap to somewhere near my ears.
Tal Mills omg , that cut all ur hair to it ears!?
I trim my own hair now because the "professional" kept cutting too much off.
I trim my own hair because stylists do get very scissor happy ✂...
I trim my own hair. Don't feel comfortable with people's hands in my hair
