- Ardnahoe Inaugural Release Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky - Verkostung von WhiskyJason
The Inaugural Release from Ardnahoe matured for 5 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks and was bottled at 50% without artificial colouring or chill-filtration.
Stewart Laing and his sons Andrew and Scott had long dreamed of having their own distillery. In October 2018, this dream became a reality when the first barrel was filled. Distillery manager Fraser Hughes created the first generation of Ardnahoe using traditional methods: Gently peated Islay water is taken from nearby Loch Ardnahoe, peated malt from Port Ellen is used and the Ardnahoe distillery utilises two traditional worm tubs - the only ones on Islay.

I bought this one just after been released for £70 and i enjoying. Its nice old school peated expression but not going to buy another bottle for this price. Just now i ordered new Kilkerran 16yo 70% bourbon, 20% sherry, 10% rum for.....same price of £70. 3x older same price. Thanks Jason 😁🥂🥂🥂🙋♂️
Hope you enjoy it!

The copper still consists of three parts. The kettle, the gooseneck and the cooler and there are ten stages in the production of single malt whisky in Scotland which is Materials, Malting, Grist, Mashing, Washback, Wash Still, Spirit Still, Spirit Receiver, Wood Barrel / Cask and the last being Storage😀😁😎🤩
