I'm just using the standard 17-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens that came with it, 30 fps. As far as a steady camera look it's important to remember to keep the shutter speed at as close a multiple of your frames per second as possible. Here, a shutter speed of 60 for 30fps, for 24fps (a more typical film look) would call for a shutter speed of 50. Having the aperture wide at 3.5 allows for a pretty natural depth of field. Having a quality memory card (class 10) is important for the video quality as well.
