    This is my car, except that I have the 2014 SXT Plus so it has a few more features as far as the trim package. But same color! Ten years later and I still love this car!

      @@davidcasas3862 But i think many people can afford v6 in europe, if taxes are not so high just maybe double like from 200 € to 400 € is not big difference, just drive gentle and save fuel and save money for taxes and insurance, my insurance dont cost much because they look New car catalog price, in germany they look of how much KW then more insurance cost, in swiss they look how much was this car as brand new car. If drive lots country road and highway its good fuel consumption. i had 5.8 liter 100-120 kmh gentle highway trip, in cold weather is around 6.7-7 liter. in City more than 10 liter but i dont drive much in city

    Many thanks, nice video.
    The acceleration tests show nicely that the A8 (applied since model year 2015) does good favor for the the V6. The A8 gearbox keeps the little V6 better in torque band, making the take-off and accelerations while driving a bit faster. However it requires rather aggressive downshifts even after little step on the pedal, the 8-th gear is like highway overdrive. Challenger is a big and heavy car (2 tons).
    People often show some hate to the V6's - but if one keeps in mind this particular trim is more a stylish cruiser than true muscle car, the car is really good for what it is - beautiful, spacious and comfortable coupe, great cruiser that even we silly Europeans can use as daily (including fuel consumption). And if you do not need to race, still she is fast enough for normal driving and some fun.
    And looking on the world around over the long hood is just priceless...
    From happy 2020 GT AWD user🙂

      i have 2nd gen 300 as lancia thema rebadged but i will rerebadged back to chrysler, with 3.6 and 8 speed automatic is very fast and fuel efficient, soon i will get Stage 1 and remove vmax limiter. i hope i can hit over 265 kmh. @martin styblo, nice GT AWD! my dream is to get charger GT and put supercharger kit, that will be +450 hp

      @@TESTDRIVEFREAK The Chally is my mid-age crisis sin:-)
      I always wanted American cruiser... I was thinking about Challenger R/T (to get the V8), but new R/T's (5.7) are here difficult to get; choice was finally between GT AWD and 392. I though 392 would have ben too much, not only due to the price but also taking into my life driving experience into account. And I shall say the V6 is great, ready to daily driving (including winter) and still having some fun. Just sometimes I miss the V8 rumble and low-end torque, but the sound of Pentastar isn't bad for me too.
      If I had no other family car, I would think about Charger GT AWD as family sedan.
      The supercharged GT AWD would be nice all-year round "Hellkitten":-)
      Greetings from Prague, take care and keep your great reviews - they are great to watch.

      i have same engine 3.6L V6 but with fuel efficient 8 speed transmission. on highway i get around 5.5-7 liter (100-130 kmh), in german high speed driving (140-180 kmh) around 9.5 liter

    • @martinstyblo6355
      @martinstyblo6355 2 роки тому +1

      @@TESTDRIVEFREAK Challeger GT AWD - even in city traffic I can still be not too much above 11 L/100 km, and long trips on highway when running on legal limits very easily below 9, when smoothly floating around 150 km/h I still can keep around 10. Having heavy foot on each pull of course takes more fuel. I guess Charger and 300 might have better aerodynamics than Challenger and maybe they have taller rear - AWD has I guess a bit shorter gearing than RWD. Anyway those numbers are great for such cars with that comfort, style and 300 HP.

    • @TESTDRIVEFREAK
      @TESTDRIVEFREAK  2 роки тому

      @@martinstyblo6355 this numbers is true, but the AWD i think they use 0.5-2 liter more than RWD in different speed :) i have RWD and use in Winter too and has no problem because car is heavier but some slippering at uphill, but with good winter tyres then almost no problem :)

    • @martinstyblo6355
      @martinstyblo6355 2 роки тому

      @@TESTDRIVEFREAK The AWD engages front axle only if low temperature, washers active or when rear wheels slip. Of course there are still some parasitic resistances and some weight in excess. So the gas consumption difference is bigger in winter. You are right, good tyres and non-stupid driver are the basics, the AWD really however nicely improves winter or wet grass climbs... all these cars with this AWD platform are like SUV's:-) One can find astonishing videos with winter shots of 4*4 tractor slipping and then Chally AWD goes much more smoothly the same hill.
