I don't know if people realize how these 2 exceptional artists creators are really the last of the Masters, who have created historic & iconic moments that made a shift in the Fashion world..they are both National & World Treasures , i respect their Legacy immensely ! There will never be the likes of these 2 ever again, enjoy them while they are here........
I hope they both forge ongoing careers as lecturers on the fashion circuit worldwide. They both have such wondrous experience and would make such wonderful educators.
I heard the BBC interview with Talley one night on the NPR. He's a scrappy guy who has had to fight for everything he ever had. The fashion world may have been his great love but he still had to put up with all kinds of pettiness and backbiting cohorts.
In a way she did because she worked for Mrs. Vreeland as an editor while at Vogue. However, Andre and Tonne were two of twelve volunteers that worked for Vreeland at The Costume Insitute while she was there as a special consultant. They met there when they were practically kids and Mrs. Vreeland mentored them. I think that’s what they’re talking about when they say the “Vreeland school.”
What a lesson and inspiring people are Andre and Tonne! Bravi!!🙌
I love these behind the scenes interviews because you get the real back story.🌼

But Polly Mellen did go through Vreeland... didn’t she?

Yes, Polly said she was her mentor.
Andre can't let Tonne speak.. 🤷🏽♀️
I love Andre. Not sure who this other lady is but she seems cool.
She was also in "The September Issues".
Tonne is a fashion editor for Vogue US
Español 🇵🇪👏
Same old shit from ALT, nothing of substance comes out of his hole. Poor Tonne! Nice of him to give her 30 seconds near the end....
Cool, he's a trailblazer, he's also a self-absorbed bore; who never really reveals anything about his inner life.
