Do you remember when England had bowlers who could consistently average over 80mph? Yeh, feels a looong time ago. You can see the batsmen had too much time to play, they are really suffering for lack of true pace
Most of them average over 80, I mean it's not much over 80 so maybe I'm being pedantic. Anyway we had Wood, Stone and Archer? Unfortunately we have too many injuries with those faster bowlers. Easier to get injured when you're bowling 90+
What a disappointment archer was. Give him back to the windies.
Anderson at 40 years old is averaging 80-83 mph, and maxing out at 87 mph.
Broad has a higher average, seems. Maxes out around the same 87-88 mph.
Stokes can generate pace. He is skiddy.
As for express fast bowlers, there's Wood and Archer.
