Why cause of that slap? This franchise sucked. As I said if it were my movie it would know no "Raindrops are falling on my head" because Harry would be unlikable and he'd end up in the hospital for slapping Peter.
That's why when I was a child I didnt like this movie, and now I love it.
The fact that Sam raimi had the balls to do an insanely cheesy scene after a really sad one just proves how good of a filmmaker he is
This doesnt prove anything you just sayd. it just proves your lack of knowledge about how filmmakers can make a movie in different ways.
@@joeyb3318 No, he's right. The Evil Dead movies were very innovative and inspiring to filmmakers like Tarantino and Edgar Wright for the same reason a scene like this was included.
A lot of filmmakers would approach this much more conservatively and be afraid to risk including a campy scene like this (and some would even turn their nose up at it). We'd get something more bland, forgettable and less effective instead.
Raimi's movies have style and a soul, and his Spider-Man movies have so much sincerity.
@Joey B you’re proving your own ignorance. Yes. It’s Filmmaker makes her films in different ways by the end of the day. It’s all about execution. If what they come up with in their heads and what they’ve written down can work on camera doesn’t work then it means they failed. The scene after that traumatic moment of Peter Parker quitting showing how happy he is for the first time in a long time with a cheesy jazz song does show how great of a Filmmaker Rami is.

Now that I think about it, this movie tells a great story for young people to learn from. I mean its possible to follow your dreams but if you focuse on that dream to much you'll forget to care about yourself. And then find a balance just like Peter did.

Raimi was a madman for this one but it worked so well. In Peter's mind, a free life with no power or responsibility is going to class and fixing his bike and shit. He just gets to be himself.

We all feel like this in todays current times more than ever.
Me when I started following Jesus & reading my bible again when all the toxicity around me went away & got me out of a dark place I was falling into. & came back to my friend who I was pushing away. Because I remember how awesome she is.
Sam Raimi and Bryan Singer (X Men Universe) really made Marvel into the MCU and other universe we see today
I really enjoy the sharp contrast between the dark scene in which he gets rid of his suit, and the really clear scene just after he decided to focus on his personal life. It is as if he was reborn in heaven!
Another strange thing is that the screen isn't fully black at 0:14 you can still see the eyes of his suit. I don't really know how to interpret that
He thought that he got rid of the suit and the responsibility. But it's still there. He can't leave spiderman behind, because he is spiderman. It doesn't matter if he doesn't have the suit, he will still go in building on fire to save a life.
Everytime i watch this scene, there is something in my soul reminiscing about the past ?. the weight I am carrying loosen.... its good to be back on that day ~ nostalgic memories for me

I love that in this scene there is a song in the background that keeps saying the word "fallin" as if telling Peter: "put on your glasses, you no longer have powers and you're going to fall." 😂 This movie is brilliant.
The subtle pause at the end when Peter realising he is actually focusing on his life now and nothing's worrying him now, was really a well thought moment.

If this were my movie I wouldn't have James Franco play Harry. I'd make him more unlikable and this scene wouldn't exist because he'd be half way in a hospital (Harry that is). This movie sucked. Raimi's "Spiderman" movies sucked
