Conan is an absolute legend. He basically did whatever he wanted because the show literally was renewed weekly so they could be cancelled at any time. Yet nearly 30 years later and he's the only one still doing actual comedy. Once this pandemic is over I hope to see him live before he retires.

I LOVED the Upright Citizens Brigade on Comedy Central...it's legendary. It's a shame they only were given 3 seasons. Notice how this bit is still funnier than 99% of the comedy nowadays.
Don't think there's a single thing I watch on Comedy Central anymore. Not even South Park not saying that it's bad show or anything I just lost interest in it. Think the last actual live action comedy show I watched was Parks and Rec which is funny seeing how Amy was the lead character of that series a producer and wrote some of the episodes. And the other 3 played minor characters in the series at least once while Basser appears multiple times. Never seen this series though will have to give it a watch. Other than that the only comedy series I watch on TV is Rick and Morty.
99% of the comedy? You mean like all comedy everywhere? Cause if that’s what you mean, you aren’t looking hard enough. There a lot of hilarious shows airing these days and so many incredible stand up specials have come out in the last few years. 99%...please. That’s a ridiculous overstatement.
@@corgio1260 Maybe a few exceptions, but not really. UCB was brilliant. Nathan For You and Who Is America? also strike me as brilliant examples of comedy, but other than that, I can't really think of any modern day examples on that level.

Most people cannot handle it though.
Certain types of people have extreme difficulty with reason and understanding scientific concepts, and religion is usually to thank for it, sadly. It literally changes the pathways in the brain when indoctrinated from birth. Since America has such a high percentage of religious, it also tends to have a high percentage of conspiracy theorists and other reason-challenged types. Good ol' America.
