That needle in the eye thing is probably the only thing that would ever keep me from finishing Dead Space 2
Same, that’s my worst nightmare
Probably a single death watch terminator or Grey knight would be overkill in stomping out an outbreak on the ishimura. Titan station would need a squad (technically Isaac had a team, so at least 3 space marines) and well on a fully populated planet, a single chapter is more than enough, bring the heavy flamers Brothers. I can't really see the inquisition bother with exterminatus unless multiple brethren moon were formed.
Exsterminautis would be necessary if a brethren moon is involved due to its size
The signal from the Marker might be a problem if you're just sending in a squad of Space Marine Terminators. They might need a Librarian for support. A Grey Knight would be most effective in resisting the Marker's corrupting effect.
To correct the saying here: the markers signal goes only through one vector as told by one of the colonists on Agies 7 in one of the comic vid dramas of dead space. And that vector is that the signal can only affect necrotic flesh, dead bodies.
People seem to miss why necromorphs would be horrifying in the 40k universe. The markers cause people in its ranger to become violently insane in which they kill as many people as they can, and then kill themselves, all so that they will become reanimated into necromorphs. This applies to any bio-organism, which means markers can affect anything, including Astartes, Orks, Eldar, and even Tyranids. Psykers may have some resistance to the markers, but the marker doesn't actually do things psychically, they emit highly specified electro magnetic waves into the brain to cause the hallucinations and reanimation, in which even those resistant to its influences are still effected, and will eventually fall prey to the marker. Brethren moons also pose a major threat, given their discretion, and the fact they can just launch markers out into the ether means that destroying one will almost certainly entail tracking down every marker that it jettisons before it dies, and even get close to a single marker will be an enormous hazard to begin with. Another factor is one of scale, necromorphs become exponentially more of a threat based off of how many people can be turned in a given time. This means hive worlds will be prime targets for marker cults, and seeing as there are millions-tens of millions of people in one hive city, means that a necromorph outbreak will be catastrophic, especially if any Astartes get killed in the process. All in all, necromorphs individually aren't that much of a threat in 40k, but everything that leads to necromorphs would be a nightmarish perfect storm.
The Tyranid hive mind is extremely powerful and would be very resistant to a marker plus nids can control thier DNA at the cellar level making it hard to mess with them. I'm not saying it's impossible but it would be extremely difficult.
Just throw Black Templars at it till it stops being annoying. If we're talking an infection just starting on a world I'd say 10 average astartes could probably clear up the planet if they got on it right away, if it's a hive world that's had the infection going for a week then an entire chapter might be necessary to clear it up (or just Cato Sicarius and two spare ultrasmurfs), and while I get that defaulting to exterminatus isn't exactly constructive it is still a valid thing that exists and that every decent sized ship is capable of (and honestly: even if the Inquisition are the only ones technically allowed to call for it, if some astartes look down at an infected planet an their psykers are saying they sense the monsters merging they are definitely going to blow it up). Finally: while the astartes would likely be immune to the infection, their dna is often a bit unstable, and depending on what happened they would likely either wind up eventually turning into chaos marines, or developing a weird stabilization method like the Vlka Fenrika and Blood Angels to try and keep it in check.
I wonder why the original video was private
Probably because Gamza’s a bit of a moron. He doesn’t really know what he’s talking about in this vid, and people probably corrected him. He was right about how the brethren moons and how they control the markers, but that’s where it ends. You have to DIE before becoming a necromorph, the marker doesn’t just turn you into one. You HAVE to be infected with the recombinant cells controlled by the marker. This can happen in one of two ways. In the first cases on Aegis 7, a doctor was influenced by the marker to create them, and a large mass of these cells ended up in the vents, and thus, with everyone breathing in these cells, and the marker signal driving them insane and making them kill each other as well as themselves, and there you have it. Necromorph outbreak. The only other way the marker can turn you into a necromorph is with an Infector, using its proboscis to simultaneously kill you and pump your brain pan full of those recombinant necromorphic cells.
He’s really stretching the idea that the Imperium of Man is too incompetent to stop the markers. The Ordo Xenos deals with scarier shit than this on a pretty regular basis, and given that all you need to do to kill a necromorph is blow off its limbs, boltguns will make EXTREMELY short work of necromorphs. The Deathwatch would contain/destroy the first marker as soon as they caught wind of it

Yes
After you're done reacting to Warhammer 40k videos, you should react to:
A. Older, recent Smg4 videos, including If Mario Was Smart and Smg4 Goes Insane.
B. Adventures of Coach by Dizztah.
C. More Complete Histories of Tf2 Characters videos.
Or D. Madness Combat Series by Krinkels.

There is a TTS short on different channel. Here's the link ua-cam.com/video/usJRU4djnrE/v-deo.html
Also, you still have second part of Boreale's Adventure to react
My idea for the scenario has always been thus:
A lone inquisitor accompanying a squad of deathwatch marines discovers a mysterious ship adrift in the void. Aboard, he locates a mysterious artifact which he identifies as a beacon of some sort, utilizing some unknown cosmic energy to animate the corpses of the dead and twist them into monstrous abominations. The Deathwatch are caught off-guard and one of them is slain, his body quickly pulled away by the monsters and transformed into a monstrous Brute, which is more than a match for the team. The Inquisitor eventually decides to destroy the artifact, using the ships engines to obliterate it. As a result, the Necromorphs fall inert, and the day is saved.
The Deathwatch all become severely grim in the aftermath, having witnessed their brother twisted into a monster against his will, coupled with the Artifacts effect on their minds. The Inquisitor eventually succumbs to dementia and embarks on a mad quest to find more of the artifacts and prevent them from falling into the wrong hands, believing each to be a sacred gift of the Emperor, sent by Him to help humanity transcend death.
And thus, the Imperial Creed has a new enemy.
What’s worst?
That eye sequence or the interrogation scene from the Matrix?
(I’m still traumatized by that worm thing)
Yes
Going to need the link to this UA-camr channel. His take of necromorphs as far feminist is based AF
Based on what?
What?
The markers might not be able to affect Tyranids due to their shadow in the warp ability.
Lol Gamza’s got no clue what he’s talking about. The marker signal itself doesn’t rewrite your dna. The marker’s telepathic influence does all the work. YOU HAVE TO DIE before you can become a necromorph. The marker’s influence will often lead people to kill others and themselves in order to facilitate this, but you don’t just become a necromorph in the presence of a marker without dying first. I’d take anything Gamza’s says with a grain of salt
