To be completely honest, having played It Takes 2, this deleted ending fits MUCH better than what we're actually given. The whole game seems to build up that the book is not as much of a good guy as he seems, and in fact I'd say he often comes across more villainous or at least illogical and baselessly judgmental. The game itself also seems to take on darker and more serious tones as you progress, straying further from its more bubbly silly intro until the tone suddenly shifts back at the very end as a nonsensically happy fairy tale ending comes out of nowhere. It doesn't really feel like the end is climactic enough to be the end, nor does it feel like enough for the parents to have solved their problems at all. The whole ending just felt unrealistic and rushed, and it makes sense why now: because it wasn't supposed to be the ending. What a shame it was changed just because they were worried people couldn't handle a little dark gameplay. Regardless, I completely disagree with the idea that the game's actual ending without this cut content fits better. This content makes Hakim's behavior throughout the entire game make SO much more sense because he just sounds like a nonsensical fraud who likes watching a dysfunctional couple suffer throughout the entire game. He's annoying, judgmental and often blatantly wrong in his assessments of their relationship, but somehow he still manages to help them and gets painted as the good guy which never made any sense to me. Plus it just doesn't feel like they should have learned much by the end of the game, but this addition of them confronting Hakim and potentially getting to see a lot more imagery of their daughter suffering would make the ending make a lot more sense. The entire ending of the game felt like a poorly written lie to me and now I understand why: the whole game was made with a completely different last level and climax in mind.

I feel like having two players control one character might be too hard but I would have loved to see that level in it. Though I would have loved if the book guy was final boss. Not sure you know much about the original megaman games. One of the characters looking off into the distance and thinking someone died is pretty standard across the franchise.
Other Mega Man games do it in ways that make more sense though & are more consistent with the intended tone, albeit not always the the tone they actually end up with since Mega Man games are terribly written.
@@D_YellowMadness I mean not really? it is the same standard. Got to Wily's base to stop them. Base gets destroyed. Someone thinks someone else is dead. Stare off at the distance or sunset or helmet on the ground. This happened like in half of the megaman games why not in this one too?

It's worth mentioning that YiiK's "secret" endings almost certainly don't exist and it's a put on by the developers to keep drawing attention to their not good game.
Actually, that game was supposed to have a sequel, but it never went into production because the game sadly flopped. Which sucks too because I've always liked the game.
Hello again, it's me Hellkrai. I appreciate being sourced and credited for the clips for YIIK. And I do want to mention that a handful of things that you put into this video aren't exactly true about the game. This is far better than most videos talking about it but it's still not accurate. There has been A lot of evidence that points to how both of these endings are accessible and have been in the game for a very long time. The obsession the internet has over pointing out the similarities between that missing person's case and the game are unfortunately not as substantial as you would believe. And as far as Dick Masterson goes it's notable that that book is a satire, Because he is a comedian.
Oddheader overall gets a lot of information wrong as they don't seem to do thorough research on a lot of the topics, and also often takes opinions from the people who submit the things rather than actually looking into the topics fully. They used to have better research in their videos but lately it's not been nearly as accurate. It's especially quite painful to watch when it's a topic you yourself know very well as then it feels like they just looked at the surface and decided that it's good enough.
As a bonus ending that wasn't cut, Far Cry 4 has an exceptional one. At the start of the game the antagonist tells you to sit and wait while he goes to "deal with a problem," and it's the game's queue for you to get up and start exploring. But if you sit for 10 FULL MINUTES he comes back, thanks you for waiting and helps you do what you came to do. Then the game ends. It's great.
I haven't played It takes two and barely knew what it was about but... why did the cut that ending? Whatever the game has can't be better than confronting the pain they're causing and have it blatantly thrown in their faces in such imagery.
Was just watching the old videos lol. Your videos are so easy to watch, man. I hope these things bring you so much success. You are great at what you do 🙏

We literally googled "crash bandicoot skylanders untextured guy", and found a thread giving more detail than he did in 20 seconds
www.reddit.com/r/crashbandicoot/comments/8yzxac/unused_crash_bandicoot_model_from_skylanders/
These two are just off the top of my head but the quality has for sure gone down - and it's sad, because he's still posting some really interesting stuff.
I think Oddheader is the only UA-camr that I immediately drop whatever I am doing to watch a new upload.
I'm subscribed to 200 people exactly and Oddheader is the only one I do that for.
Same
Arbiter slander isn't tolerated. Tbh I'm sick of playing the chief for every game, let alone a Spartan. I want ODST, Elite, Brute, Possibly forerunner stories to play.
In sonic adventure directors cut the gamecube version you can play local co-op even when its never mentioned you can wish youd cover this :)
That's common knowledge. You can also do this in Sonic 2, Sonic 3&K, and Shadow.
I don't think he usually pulls suggestions from the comments. It's usually Discord/twitter/reddit/oddheader website. I'm sure he has pulled from comments before but I imagine you'll have better luck on social media.
@@apurpledragon i did not know this...
@404TVfr my grandpa said only old AF people say that ..
Source? I can only see a mod for multiplayer
I can confirm Dick Masterson is in YIIK and he makes Alex get on the scale or he smashes a mother's milk Funko pop
Dark Urge looking around like "who the fuck is talking right now" is hilarious
I'll have you know Mr Header, that Arbiter slander will NOT be tolerated.
The idea of every ending to Mega Man Soccer cutting to the same scene of dead Mega Man is so funny to me
Thanks for putting captions on your video
2:53 How very so dare you, Odd! Arbiter is a beloved character 😭
Barely knew what YIIK was, now wanna know even less after what that reveal was lmao
Don't worry, Oddheader just didn't do any research and simply copied what everyone else was saying
@@grrrr255as someone who has seen the entire game, no. the games just really fucking weird.
Isn't that the game where the shithead protagonist can accidentally drive one of his friends to suicide but the narrative basically brushes it off?
I'm sorry but there will be NO Arbiter slander, not only voiced by one of the best VAs but he's also cool as hell to play as
"Many players thought the tone and whiplash of this deleted scene would have ruined the game..."
My guy, it was already ruined when they forced me to kill that cute elephant for no reason. lol
9:40 god of war did not get game of the year at the game awards, it was nominated but did not win. elden ring won goty at the game awards 2022.
Ragnarok won GOTY at the BAFTA game awards in 2023. Odd Headder never said GOW won IN 2022
@@Ashurman666he did say "at The Game Awards", which didn't happen
"there's a legitimate way of achieving this ending" SPAM X OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN TO DOUBT.
bad halo 2 take
It's always a good day when we get a new Oddheader video
The arbiter bit was esp funny cuz I didnt have halo as a kid so I always only wanted to be an alien lol, I wanted nothing to do with humans or spartans. I thought the arbiter so so rad lol
It's worth mentioning that YiiK's "secret" endings almost certainly don't exist and it's a put on by the developers to keep drawing attention to their not good game.
Absolutely horrid Arbiter take you should feel bad about that one. Voiced by the legend Keith David you don’t say stupid shit like that.
Shut up dude. It's his opinion. Plenty of people didn't like that style
He said it on purpose to get drooling idiots like you to comment.
PSI OPS Mindgate Conspiracy messed up with that cliffhanger when shortly before they had nice ending...
was that the one where you could surf on doors with the telekensis power?
Actually, that game was supposed to have a sequel, but it never went into production because the game sadly flopped. Which sucks too because I've always liked the game.
OH coming out as an Arbiter anti-fan is a brave move and I hope he gets better soon 🙏
I'm... not...
A...
Racist. I'm sorry Twitter. 😢😢😢😢😢
I _really_ like the "It takes two" cut ending. Seems cool.
GOW Ragnarok didn't win game of the year at the game awards. It was Elden Ring. Might be confused with the original GOW.
I can’t believe you would slander the Arbiter like that
Why the hate on arbiter
The arbiter was pretty badass just like the fella who voiced him.

ODDHEADER POST??? MY DAY IS SAVED!!!!!!!!
seeing yiik in an oddheader video is Wild
So excited to watch these videos as soon as they come out!
No way you slandered Arbiter.
Relieved to find the first few comments I see are calling out that TERRIBLE Arbiter take.
Its always a good day when Oddheader posts a new video! 💖
God of War didn't win game of the year in 2022, that went to Elden Ring my dude
You better never shittalk the arbiter again
arbiter slander detected, jail for you
Hello again, it's me Hellkrai.
And as far as Dick Masterson goes it's notable that that book is a satire, Because he is a comedian.
didn't one of the devs directly say that "her suffering was influential on the game" or something?
Oddheader overall gets a lot of information wrong as they don't seem to do thorough research on a lot of the topics, and also often takes opinions from the people who submit the things rather than actually looking into the topics fully.
They used to have better research in their videos but lately it's not been nearly as accurate.
It's especially quite painful to watch when it's a topic you yourself know very well as then it feels like they just looked at the surface and decided that it's good enough.
Don’t believe you; seems like a weirdo game for weirdos, but ok
@@eyerstrix show me one game that doesn't have an audience of weirdos
@@micfrog Do you know what the word "influential" means?
Because it doesn't mean "I copied someone's tragedy and put it in my game"
This is unrelated but howcome it's 2024 and YT still has that glitch where it says there's more comments on a video than there actually is
It's not a glitch. Comments get checked for "no-no stuff" before getting published and then either get removed or only appear when sorting by new.
@@GrzybeK3009 And then there's the ocassion when you post something but only you can see it and only when in your own account.
you can see more of the comments if you sort by "new". default sort is "top" which only has a fraction of all comments
Also when I post a comment or reply and then it just vanishes so I can't re-read, edit, or delete it.
It's great.
Oddball! Love the work man, hope it pays off!
The SMR narrator for Baldur's ending... daaaayum girl!
Adult sites has better?
Fact check: God of war ragnarok did not win game of the year in 2022.
Well it did it just didn't at the game awards specifically
I want an entire game based on the Arbiter now lol.
Talk bad about the Arbiter? Such heresy.
Bro I love your videos and I'm subscribed; I have NO CLUE as to why I never see your uploads in my subscriptions!!
Bold of you to attempt to dunk on a beloved character such as Arbiter Thel 'Vadam.
Also misguided.
No, we did not only want to play as chief. Arbiter is an iconic videogame character
Literally my favorite part of the month the end - Just for the Oddheader Videos!
I haven't played It takes two and barely knew what it was about but... why did the cut that ending? Whatever the game has can't be better than confronting the pain they're causing and have it blatantly thrown in their faces in such imagery.
Congratulations on being the first channel I've seen to not pronounce the last game as 'Yeek.'
That "It Takes Two" thing... looks so close to a Quake 4 Stroggification.
This kid really shit on the arbiter?
Can’t wait until I’m older to see all the Easter eggs to the games that I’m playing currently
Always a good day when oddheader drops
The guy you had to play as when you really wanted to be chief.. that’s spartan Locke. Not arbiter. Arbiter had a story and a conflict.
Of course he's an arbiter hater smh
Was just watching the old videos lol. Your videos are so easy to watch, man. I hope these things bring you so much success. You are great at what you do
🙏
THE BANISHED ARE NOT PIRATES
I agree they’re aliens
