Any temperature below 60 does damage peppers. I put my out just a few days before our freeze warning here in 6s Columbus OH then about 10 days later we've been getting some 50 s temperature as you agreed pepper don't take the chills in the 50s . Question I'm having something eating my pepper leaves like never before.it's.proably a camouflage caterpillar I'm not seeing it yet.
Yup, the temps here in Ohio are crazy. Low of 48 last night here in CLE. I have not had pest pressure yet so not sure what your next steps are. I would look at getting some Diatomaceous Earth (food grade) and see if that would help.
