Honestly, I've always preferred this log ride to Splash Mountain at Disneyland. It just feels much more authentic, and the ride itself is more fun. Disneyland seems to have so much trouble keeping their ride show areas in a state of good maintenance (impaired lighting, broken animatronics, etc) that it ruins the ride experience. This classic attraction at Knott's has always been on point.
Well there’s a red little light and when it blinks that’s when it blinks that’s when it’s the drop and I’m like two minutes away and showing my friend some videos lol
The old version when it went into the tunnel at 4:18 it went straight down into a drop and straight into the singing guys, but now its a boring slow descent in a helix with some new theming and animatronics
No, the layout has always been the same since the day it opened. The room after the drop was originally completely empty because that’s where the ride’s reservoir was. The only changes made to the ride were new animatronics, and a new song.
Grew up across the street from Knott’s, with annual passes to both. Knott’s log ride is better in the fact it has more going on, in comparison to Splash Mountain that has long gaps of character and show inactivity.
@@187onaenemiga There are no seatbelts, after the first take off I jumped out and just started swimming, hanging onto the conveyor belt at the end was the craziest part, I almost died doing this shit. Security was at the exit and escorted me off the premises. Banned for life I can never go back but it was worth it.
Without a doubt, the Timber Mountain Log Ride is Knott's best and most beloved ride.
Yeah I agree. My mom also rode this when she was a kid
I'd argue that Ghost Rider is their crowning jewel.
Who heard "I'm not waiting a hour for that!"
@Inocencia Monsen good for you man

Very true
Also this ride doesnt make you look like you went swimming in a pool when you get off... (yes... I have gotten that wet on splash mountain)
@@ThiccTropius Hey, here's a hint. Maybe next time you don't go on a ride that is literally named SPLASH Mountain.
@@justinharvey7398 lmao dont worry i would still go on it... just got to make sure a poncho is at the ready with flipflops
@@ThiccTropius lol, I know. I'm joking. I always wear a jacket when I go on.
The dark drop on the log ride makes it fun and scary the amount of g force you will feel his crazy
Best Ride Ever!
That one section where it's all dark really makes me unsettled. Like, I'm not scared but... I don't like it.

Tony said Disney ride show areas not maintained at Disney? What? Disneys spot on always. Bigtime. The knotts log ride is an epic great ride though
True. Disneylands splash mountain is more fun. Knotts seems a bit boring

I got out and swam down the ride like a waterslide years ago, got kicked out and have never been able to return.
