GG bro! We have quickly gone from Tarky .14.0 to .14.8 i think, and from SPT 3.8.0 to 3.8.6 now... sheesh! So There are a very few interesting changes to base game. But more importantly, to use fresh new mods for higher than 3.8.0 Ima have to update after all. You've shown us how. Thank you bro. Probably a good idea to get some kind of external backup hard drive to copy & backup the entire Tarkov and SPT folders onto, so we have those in case BSG does something extreme. we can keep trying to escape SPTarkov despite that.

Thats a good idea, but removing a mod, you just have to delete the mod folder you want to remove. Check under user\mods folder or BepInEx\plugins folder
Be careful just copying over the Bepinx and User folders. I just dragged and dropped like the video shows and ended up with a spt-core.dll error. Turns out you can't just copy over all the files in those two folders or it will mess up the install. I ended up having to delete the SPT folder that contained that file that popped up in the launch error then I could just copy over and it worked fine going from 3.9.4 to 3.9.8.
I get same error, tell me that is a profile made it with an old spt, and i do this thing and is worked Search for all fields like this: "Role": "sptBEAR", or "Role": "sptUSEC" Change them to: "Role": "pmcBEAR", or "Role": "pmcUSEC"

I'm trying follow this guide when updating to 3.8.3 but when i run the installer in my new folder it say no patcher available for this version what does that mean?
You "should" still update the mods too because they should also have their new versions. But you don't have to. The 3.8 mods will run just fine with the SPT 3.8.1
hello, so, its a very weird request, but, im trying to update from spt aki 3.3.0 (yes ik its very old) with the eft version 0.12, its because me and my friend found a funny exploit inside that and we are trying to replicate it. but, when i tried to update from spt 3.3.0 to 3.8.0, it doesnt work, it says: couldnt find where you isntalled eft. why does this happen ? can you help me out ?

Hey. This might be a stupid question but how do I get the latest version of the game. I have updated eft to the latest version, but it’s still an old version when I launch spt.

It's safer to download every mods when they have an update. They might work, but if it doesn't work, you might have to go through and troubleshoot one by one.
Amazing video, by the way, what happens if the EFT base game is updated? Can I update it without having problems with the SPT or should I wait for an SPT update to be able to continue playing with the latest version of the EFT Base game?
I believe it's up to certain point. For example, you cannot move your SPT 1.0.0 profile to SPT 3.9.0. There is a limit on moving your profile but you don't have to reset every update!
Is this process the same as that of SIT manager? It's just that I have the SIT manager and I can't play coop with my friend. We don't know how to enter the same server. I would greatly appreciate your help

Once I get the new version installed can I just delete the old SPT folder. How about a guide to properly remove a MOD.

I tried to update 3.8.3 to 3.9.0, and i get a error message when launching the game, it says critical error recevivng profile data.
And SPT says my profile is outdated

Unfortunately, you need to keep the official tarkov installed!

Sorry I was out for some time, you might need to locate your actual eft file.
How come when I get out of a scav raid it say out of memory it happens all the time now but when I first installed spt it never had any issues?
I never heard of that issue or seen anyone who ran into such problem. What mods are you using?

You might just have to delete your SPT 3.8.3 file and redownload the 3.9.0. Just remember to save your profile so you can keep your progression!
