This is the best. The best lecture on the Internet on investments for anyone who is starting to study finance or even has some basic interest in it.

Thanks again for the very kind words. There is a lot more on investments. You basically get two complete university courses with fundamental analysis, technical analysis, portfolio analysis, fundamental analysis, and a lot more.

Another great lecture. You are now making me think twice about the Stock Market and the investment process as a whole. I know realize more information is needed before one can jump and invest in the markets.

Great video! I appreciate that, apart from delivering lecture in structured way, you point real-life issues related to it.

I left Prince Sultan University long time ago. You need to ask you instructor what to do on exam and how to respond to such questions - I can't possibly know what YOUR instructor wants.

You should watch the video. Somewhere inside it should be shown on the camera.

You can still learn one month later. No big deal. But I guess you care about your grade.

The textbook being used, "Investments" by Bodie et al, is an excellent academic resource. This professor is an excellent resource for academic and practical application of investing. "Never trust an Investment Banker" - worth the price of tuition.

+dwartenb89 The textbook is is an excellent ACADEMIC resource, but is not good for PRACTICAL purposes. If you try to invest following the book, you are likely to lose a lot of money. The purpose of the book is to familiarize readers with investing, not to make them successful investors. Learning to DRIVE a car is very different from learning to RACE a car.

+Krassimir Petrov The chapter on Options is a good example of that. Great for understand basic option mechanics, but following the common option strategies discussed would be disastrous. It's a shame the textbook doesn't mention much in the way of selling option premium.

    Dear Professor,
    I have a couple questions:
    1) How similar are "Essentials of Investments" and "Investments" to one another? They are both written by Bodie, Kane and Marcus.
    2) Do you have videos posted on every chapter in the Textbook?
    Thank you for doing this.

Would it be safe to say that these courses are still relevant today? I mean, this one refers to Gold and Oil as the most important commodity in the world. Granted this was made 9 years ago thus I am asking how relevant the material is.
