It was absolutely haunting way back then and it still sticks with me today when I watch shows like Stranger Things or classic sci-fi horror movies. Songs like this helped fuel music for an amazing number of people.
This Sentionauts sequence is certainly the gem along the stretch. I like how you see the word spelled out on the computer letter by letter, pronounced in your mind. I read the director wanted to make a movie that felt like you'd seen it before when you were younger and left a mark on you somehow. Retro grain
He said something else along the lines of what he imagined the movies with the crazy genre film covers he wasn't allowed to watch from the video stores.
Man, I want more films like this. More visual story telling with a big dose of tone & atmosphere instead of people yapping on a cell phone. I watched Mandy but this one is may favorite from Cosmatos.
I've seen it. It's definitely special in it's own way, which is probably why it's so good. You need quite some patience to sit through it, but the way it's made makes it worth while. Absolutely amazing.
I really wish the song that played during the part where what's his face is driving down the dark road and looks yellow with freaky green-ish eyes was available. Such a creepy, 80s' inspired theme. It's awesome
Sinoia Caves is actually Jeremy Schimidt. They are the same person. I read in an interview with him that he plans to release the soundtrack on vinyl at some point, but it doesn't sound like there will be a digital release.
Fucking amazing film. has a cheezy element to it, but it is part of that 80's style I guess. It didn't seem to go where i wanted it to, but still great atmospherics, great soundtrack, amazing visually. And the main character is very good.
thank you!!!! for uploading. been looking everywhere. this reminds me Kitaro's tien shan but cooler. . also, loved the film. both the film and song very twisted and sickening in a good way lol. will keep my eyes on these geniuses .
WOW!!! ok if Jeremy said yes, im very hopefull !! this guy is a genius, love is work. realy realy can't wait to get my hands on an official release (vinyl anyone?! that would be so good). also still waiting for the DVD/bluray release of the movie by Magnet... what are they waiting for ???
This is NOTHING LIKE Dr. Strangelove, Lolita, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, Barry Lyndon, etc. etc. What you're saying is the sets look like A Clockwork Orange and the visuals seem like the trip at the end of 2001. It's not "so" Stanley Kubrick. Kubrick was fifty times the filmmaker this guy is. What you're saying is this seems like some scenes from a couple of Kubrick movies. Kind of. Sort of.
nop? but i found the link to this video there. been looking for this soundtrack everywhwre but seem it's not released yet... no idea if they plan to release it... :(
@@MC_1993 , not really. overdriven Hammond organs and Mellotron choirs & strings were staples in 70s progressive rock bands like ELP, Yes, Genesis, Moody Blues. It also has the dark and simplistic haunting style of 70s John Carpenter soundtracks. 80s were all about the bright analog synth stabs, drum machines, and gated reverb.
I wanna see it, but everywhere I look, the movie has negative feedback. I guess I'll just have to watch it without looking for any sense and just freak out.
the negative reviews comes from people who feel the movie lacked plot, which it did. What it didnt lack, was tone, incredible visuals and photography and an amazing soundtrack. Also, the multilayered performance by Michael Rogers as a psychothic delusional cult leader is just flawless. Seriously underated actor, and seriously underated film. WATCH IT.
SASEM STOSJAN From what i can tell from peoples reactions on here and IMDb that the glacial pace is one of the main reasons next to the cryptic storyline that made them hate or at least really dislike it. The pacing is one of the things I love most about it...hypnotic like no other movie I have seen.
This scene couldve really been badass except it wasnt Did he even need the suit at all? Why is there only one sentionaut? Why is she sedated if shes already down? Whats with the smoke coming out of the prism? None of these are answered in just this one scene
That organ in the opening really makes it. It's just so powerful and instantly establishes a mood.
It was absolutely haunting way back then and it still sticks with me today when I watch shows like Stranger Things or classic sci-fi horror movies. Songs like this helped fuel music for an amazing number of people.
This track reminds me of the main theme to the cult classic horror movie, Phantasm.
I love songs with a strong synethesizer.

In other words he just typed
Sentionauts
_Wow so cool_
Sounds like phantasm
The first time I read the word, it was as though it became blurred in my mind
This movie is amazing...and the music in INCREDIBLE.
we need more films like this
Man, I want more films like this. More visual story telling with a big dose of tone & atmosphere instead of people yapping on a cell phone. I watched Mandy but this one is may favorite from Cosmatos.
Why is there such a long break between his movies? I'm so ready to watch his next.
I've seen it. It's definitely special in it's own way, which is probably why it's so good. You need quite some patience to sit through it, but the way it's made makes it worth while. Absolutely amazing.
this is my favorite song. its been months!!
This track is so good! I really hope someone releases this soundtrack on vinyl.
Or spotify
Easily my favorite movie this year. The Blu Ray is amazing!
psychedelic Synth to the the max!
Excellent !!! Chef d'œuvre panos cosmatos... merci ...
00:14 is a sample of what the whole song should sound like
00:29 most beautiful moment
Excatly
Post-modernism + surrealism. And here we go... Fantastic movie.
magnifique, un des films fantastiques les plus intéressants de 2010.
Kubrick lives on.
If THX 1138, Blade Runner Kubrick's symmetric shots, & a grind house movie can fuck and make a baby, this would be it. I fucking love it!
This should be the music that plays when we finally get to meet an alien race
I'm up for making this happen if it ever happen in my lifetime
TheOjkk Daft Punk should be the official ambassadors of Earth and we'll greet aliens with electronic funk.
Pareidolia
I like your style, hombre
Pareidolia I'll sign for that.
Steve Moore from Zombi has actually done a few film scores. 2 of them recorded under the moniker Gianni Rossi. Highly recommended!
One of the best scenes in the movie.
Amazing score. Carpenter comparisons are obvious, yet the aesthetic feels true and original.
It is perfect. Thank you Schmidt.
Activate the power pyramid
This music sort of reminds me of the group Zombi. Pretty psyched up to watch this film now.
I really wish the song that played during the part where what's his face is driving down the dark road and looks yellow with freaky green-ish eyes was available. Such a creepy, 80s' inspired theme. It's awesome
Giallo meets retro futurism :D
Masterpiece.
If you are looking for something REALLY trippy, try Black Moth Super Rainbow, Tobacco or Com Truise.

Amazing. Amazing. Amazing.
I fully agree. Really wish an OST was available.
it is only being released on vinyl and digital copies
Jeremy said he hopes to release it on vinyl, oh boy I'm excited!
Took me a while to realize how good this fucking movie is
WOW!!! ok if Jeremy said yes, im very hopefull !! this guy is a genius, love is work. realy realy can't wait to get my hands on an official release (vinyl anyone?! that would be so good). also still waiting for the DVD/bluray release of the movie by Magnet... what are they waiting for ???
I loved this movie
Amazing movie!
I LOVE YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks
This Is The Most Epic Things I Ever Seen
This stuff is so stanley kubrick!
I been saying
Or how about THX 1138, a great film from Lucas
Hans Meiser He just did a film called Mandy. Finally!
This is NOTHING LIKE Dr. Strangelove, Lolita, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, Barry Lyndon, etc. etc. What you're saying is the sets look like A Clockwork Orange and the visuals seem like the trip at the end of 2001. Christian Schön Check out Mandy
Effin brilliant
what is the name of the strange genius that composed this? Is this an Alex Tarton work?
so goood.
Damn you Jeremy Schmidt for not putting this on the OST!! DAMN YOU!!
the vinyl soundtrack is available for pre order through death waltz records
@badmotherfuckeraurel: u have no idea how much i have looked for this track ever since i stumbled upon the movie trailer!thanks a ton man!
Also Mort Garson's albums ''black mass'' and ''the unexplained''.
nop? but i found the link to this video there. been looking for this soundtrack everywhwre but seem it's not released yet... no idea if they plan to release it... :(
Someone Has a Seventies Fascination
Some fool in the comments above said 80's ..i got a 70's feel from it also .
big pun you guys are buggin. This is pure 80s. The movie is set in 1983. This soundtrack screams 80s

jeremy schmidt stated in an interview that he would like to do a vinyl release.
Such a killer organ in the beginning
YES YES YESSSS!!!!!!!!
yeah i checked that out bit different but definitely can see the similarities
Easily my favorite scene from the movie. After watching the film I went out to try to find the song for this XD
This film is heavily influenced by George Lucas' THX 1138. You can totally feel it.
intensely nice / nicely intense
made me feel like my hair was on fire
anybody here knows how i can see the movie online, or any theaters playing the movie
Mnie tez się bardzo podobało pozdrawiam
Make a Sequel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vinyl? Itunes please!
Try Terry Riley 'In The Summer' for a more pure less prog but very close sound

SASEM STOSJAN my thoughts exactly
SASEM STOSJAN From what i can tell from peoples reactions on here and IMDb that the glacial pace is one of the main reasons next to the cryptic storyline that made them hate or at least really dislike it. The pacing is one of the things I love most about it...hypnotic like no other movie I have seen.
Brendo2345 I agree. the pace reflects both how empty and stale the life of Berry has become, and the state of mind of Helena, the girl in captivity.
Who gives a fuck about feedback or critics. Watch it for yourself and make your own decisions.
The sentionauts haunt my dreams.
so is there absolutely no release of this track, along with the others for the film? because it's driving me crazy that I can't find them.
Yeah, early-mid era Tangerine Dream, K. Schultze.... probably a bunch of newer bands as well that are inspired by aforementioned acts.
I watched this movie last night, and i thought it was rubbish.
This clip is still awesome tho.
You should try Tangerine Dream (it sounds like that!) and, of course, Sinoia Caves!
Easily my favorite segment from the film.
FINALLY
Anyone know something else with this sound?
Com Truise and OGRE are kinda like this
Lorn
@@pepsmcpoppin9995 oh yeah
Jeremy Schmidt is Sinoia Caves.
Anyone know any songs like this?
Would you be kind enough to give me a link to download the movie as well?
I wanna hear a remix to this...
Try Wavestar on Amazon.com
nice, so good! ok so now, when this is gonna be release on vinyl or cd??
Where did you get that song? I was looking for it everywhere and couldn't find it.
No clue. I just named it "Sentionaut" on my computer after the program name/"creature."
where did you find the movie
What really happened in the end was real or a dream 👍😞😔🤯🤔
Also Tangerine Dream and Chateau Marmont.
Listen to every tune from Umberto. Legowelt's album "The Rise and Fall of Manuel Noriega''. John Carpenter soundtracks.
When the OST is released i sense many remixes
Composer of the music you hear in this video. :)
Where did you get the movie???
give us the soundtrack damn you
its a scene from the movie
I don't even know if that's possible, but yeah. Can he borrow yours?
genius
yeah, jeremy said yes, but when ? we don't know yet
Dude...am I on Acid again?
Everyone always says that but nothing Sinoia Caves has made comes close to this. Yes, I know it's the same composer.
are you the guy of Adtunes ?
watch movie altered states,if u didn't already,that might explain u 1966 scene.
Let the New Age of Slow Pacing Begin.
I love the movie, though.
Someone needs to convince Boards Of Canada or Zombi to do a film score. Would be the best thing.
This scene couldve really been badass except it wasnt
Did he even need the suit at all?
Why is there only one sentionaut?
Why is she sedated if shes already down?
Whats with the smoke coming out of the prism?
None of these are answered in just this one scene
This movie turned into portal in the 3rd act.
