Awesome sounding bass Danny. Wow!!
Very nice bass. Thank you for the demo Danny.
This seems like a MUCH better gig than eikaiwa.
I used to teach at Eikaiwas for years while building up BJD as a side-line. It was fun for the most part, and I enjoyed teaching corporate English the most. But yes, this is a nicer gig for sure, took about 6 years to get to the point of being able to go full time!
@@BassJapanDirect Corporate English is better but not free of absurdities. I've been translating for a few decades now but it can be hell (18+ days going nonstop for weeks at times). I'm also an interpreter (have interpreted at expos internationally), but I honestly try to avoid Japanese people as much as possible because it's honestly a game you can't win (been around them in one form or another for about 40 years now).
@@BassJapanDirect It was VERY good that you had a plan, even if it took a bit of time. Some people never plan at all or don't come up with a realistic plan. The can usually be seen nursing a pint at the Hub getting used for free Engrrrish by Kyoko and Satomi.
@@yishihara55527 Sounds like you are maybe an American born Japanese? I am too ignorant to recognise these kinds of behaviours, my Japanese being very moderate, and as a Gaijin I just don't get the same treatment or don't have the same expectations placed upon me. I am sure that if you are, or if you look Japanese, you will get treated very differently and have to "fit into the order" of things.
Me, I just went from company to company teaching and genuinely enjoyed it (wouldn't have liked it so much if I was doing it 40 hours a week though). I always tried to be friendly and positive and that seemed to be appreciated. I always had a sideline, so I guess I never felt pressured into full time contracts. Lucky I suppose! But then again I traded off stability and perks for more freedom. A calculated risk!
The OG Duff Bass.
You see the unlined fretless PJ555's pop up much these days Danny?
Those are very rare. Haven't seen one in years!
@@BassJapanDirect The answer I expected but did not want to hear. 😂
Out of curiosity though Danny, what would you say is current market value for a PJ555 in B grade or better condition? Fretted or Fretless. I have a line on one here locally... E serial.
Hot and growly🎉 Even without the later big poles(played by the neck they have great articulation but do need an amp set with a lot of headroom😊. Love their black necks♠️🖤
It has the big poles on this one actually. But yes, nice basses!
Is this bass for sale? If so, how much and do you ship to the U.S.?
This was on my bass hunter service as linked on the video.
You can sign up and I can find you the same model or similar.
JV models usually go for over 1000usd but this one was a little less due to having many scuffs and dings.
If you would like to hire my services, do get in touch!
