For the longest time, I’ve been adamantly against getting an Apple Watch, despite having an iPhone. I just thought that having a smart watch is pretty pointless for me, and I don’t like how the Apple Watch only works with iPhones. But this video has convinced me that an Apple Watch is worth getting. I’m not gonna get one immediately, but once I saved up enough money, I may get one. The question now is whether if I should get the series 6 or the SE.
From what I’ve heard, they’re pretty much the same. The series 6’s biggest feature that the SE doesn’t have is the blood oxygen monitor. And the SE runs on the same chip that the Apple Watch series 5 uses. Considering that the SE is around $300 less, I would probably recommend the SE over the series 6. I don’t own an Apple Watch, but I have seen a lot of videos about them and that’s what I can conclude lmao
Edit: Okay, the SE is NOT, $300 less. For some reason, I thought the series 6 was $600 but the price can range from around $400 - $600 based on screen size, gps, cellular, etc.

Bought this a week before my girl and I went to Disney… this thing was super helpful. We had our tickets & credit cards on our wrists and never had to reach for our phones which were locked away in waterproof bags. The convenience was amazing. And we were able to track our steps which was fun. (25 miles of walking for all 6 parks, universal included)
I have the Apple Watch Series 6 Silver Aluminum 44mm Case with Nike Sport Band in Pure Platinum. Love the style and the customization of the different faces makes the watch work with every outfit. Mickey Mouse face was fun for the parks. While the more stylish faces worked for our dinners. No regrets at all.

@@SuperYtc1 It is more of a hassle than it is useful. Basically a tiny iPhone. Most people can afford such a cheap item, unless they’re a kid. I’ll just stick to my analog watches that can run without charging for years.
I recently got an series 3 on Christmas and it’s SUPER HELPFUL. I recently went to class in school and not having to take my phone out and do pretty much everything on it is very helpful.

This is something I've found that improves the watch's efficiency and ease of use. If your watch is on your your left wrist, have you considered turning the watch around so the crown is pointing to your shoulder and is on the lower left on the watch? If you are right handed, it is easier to use your right hand and thumb to manipulate the crown and button. It is easy to set up in the watch app under orientation.
If the crown is on the left side pointing toward the shoulder on my left wrist, then i have to reach over the watch interface--blocking the screen, with my right hand.

Apple pay dont support world wide. My county doenst have it. I end up use Samsung watch coz Samsung Pay supported here. I using both samsung and iphone currently

One issue my card & Starbucks card keep getting mixed up when paying

In South Korea, All location services only from Apple are banned by the gov'ment. But the same services are allowed to all Korean companies. It is why I can not use 'Find my iPhone App', 'Find my friends App' in S. Korea. It is the way companies like Samsung are gloating all the way.
Battery is the biggest problem. That's why I won't buy one. Charging a watch every day or even multiple times a day is ridiculous.
I always wanted one buy there was one thing that held be back, and that is the battery life, before it would only last for like half the day. The newer versions can live for like 20+ hours which is pretty much all day. You convinced me!!

Why does it show 85% and then 95% battery life? Does it constantly read your current HR like the Fitbit without being on exercise mode? (Because I didn’t see changing from 89). When the watch is charging can’t really work as a clock because it doesn’t stay on display.
About Fitbit,... not everybody is into all those apple watch features. Some people only care about a fitness tracking device. Battery for a heavy apple watch user would only make it to a day versus a Fitbit can last more than a week. A Fitbit reads your heart rate 24/7 constantly not missing a heart beat, apple watch doesn’t unless you are exercising and that would drain the battery pretty fast. Fitbit has a well organized app where you can track all your activity and even log the food your eat to see the calories in and out. For the apple watch, you would have to download other apps to log your food intake. I like that the Fitbit shows your total calories burned on the device vs the Apple Watch you would have to view that info on the phone (apple watch just display the active calories).
Which one would I choose? I choose the Apple Watch even if it’s more expensive (plus battery sucks), I like the features and I am apple person. Though I wish battery could last longer and that it could read my HR 24/7 and some other reasons too.

I dont even wear a watch (unless I have to for work and even when forced to I just forget to use it)so why would I buy an apple watch? and why do people need a thing to tell them that they are exercising? the map thing might but I have a phone so...? that fall thing would be annoying when Im playing paintball ha ha ha, I might have to get a dive watch but I dont think this thing would do that type of stuff, so far as some one who dosnt even need a watch you havent given me a good reason at all to get one. sorry mate

With sleep tracking the battery will get drained and you would need to charge it again when you wake up and not always will have the time to wait for it to charge to 100%

The first thing you should consider is the life of an Apple Watch is about 4 -5 years because of the battery. Apple has decided not to work on them for some reason so unless you can buy the battery kit and change it yourself, you will need to buy another watch. With an SE going for $200 on sale the options become obvious.
The reason is planned obsolescence.

I love my blue Apple Watch series 6 it’s the best Apple Watch color by far in my opinion and it’s so fast and smooth running.
I was torn between that one and the silver...ended up going with the silver watch but I got the blue iPhone 12.

Battery doesn’t last a day. So many app improvements but missing to improve the main thing that runs the app. Crazy
The songs I have on my I phone 8 Plus is around 13,000 and that’s more than the 32gb . The fitness tracker I would use but as a general tracking of how many calories, steps , distance . I don’t work out but this be good to know the basics

Tell me your thoughts on the watch taking your blood pressure and measuring your blood glucose. If it’s possible how do your think it will be done. My boyfriend had a constant glucose monitor that he wears in his arm, and if you have the iPhone 8 or later you can scan it through your phone (it uses the same thing as Apple Pay) so the watches can likely already read it I believe

I like Apple stuffs but these points seem like nice to have if you rich enough, a lot can be done by yourself with your own well and motivation without any electronic stuffs and people nowadays forgot about it and have to get reminded passive by these companies. If you are in the Apple ecosystem and want a general purpose watch, I agree. If you are a hard core runner, some of the Garmin watches are a better choice.

As a family of runners (except me), all our Garmins are going strong (running watches, Vevosmart HR). I had a Garmin Venu SQ, but it got damaged at work (had to take it off for safety for an installation and someone damaged it by accident). They offered me an Apple Watch 6 so said sure. But for strictly work out, sleep and energy tracking the Garmin ecosystem is much better and fully integrated. Getting close with my Apple Watch, but have to use several apps and buy some to get a similar experience that isn’t integrated :(

I have iwatch SE cellular with gps and I love it
No one will tell you that it has only two features which other watches can't provide you
First: apple pay
Second: worries of savings battery instead of using these all features and charging at least twice a day normally.
Bonus: most people can't even wear at night because they have to put it on charging meanwhile non apple users watches last at least a week.
I just got a series 7, and as a smartwatch, it is great. Unlocking the phone/Apple Pay were the main reasons I bought it, and there is also Okta (MFA) app. Having said that, I also have a Fênix 6+ and there isn’t even a close comparison for sports, sleep tracking and always on HR measurements. And wait… over 10 days of battery, albeit if you do an workout, the battery will not last 10 days… I have done a few Ironman races (˜12 hours in my case) with one charge, I’m not sure an Apple Watch would work for 12 hours tracking HR/GPS, not to mention the lack of ant+ for all my bike sensors. BTW, you can configure the Fenix to call upon a fall (using your phone). Anyhow, my 2 cents, if you are looking for a smart watch and you are OK charging it every day, then the Apple Watch is great, but Garmin has a serious leg up on sports, all day HR monitoring, and even sleep tracking.
This is my decision now, I’ve had Garmins for 6 years and love them but am considering getting an Apple Watch now that I have an iPhone, for the smart watch features the Garmins do not have. I worry I’ll regret it though.
