the Quincy ca-39 was my Grandpa's ship,he survived the sinking and he lived to be 80 years old, when i was 11 he took his own life, i wish i knew why he did it. i have always wanted to know where the Quincy was and when i found your video a few months ago i was very excited!. i later found videos of all the ships called National Geographic,The Lost Fleet of Guadalcanaland, i think every one should watch them, they are great. The Quincy... i was able to finally see her as she is now.

YamatoTitanic--Thanks for the video. For over 40 years I have had an interest in the Imperial japanese Navy. And in particular the night surface battles off Guadalcanal. For some reason I find these subjects fascinating.
If you have not read this book yet, then I would like to recommend "Japanese Destroyer Captain" by Tameichi Hara. I found this book on the Wildwood boardwalk when I was 12 years old. I have been interested in this subject ever since.-----Thanks Again

Fierce battles in 1942, probably the greatest series of naval battles that ever took place (perhaps apart from Trafalgar or Leyte), or probably will take place ever again in the future.

thank for fair unbiased view. Big difference from usual US propaganda.
