Thanks for your message. You can check the Mercedes playlist. The last DIY was how to change the transmission fluid and in a few days I will release how to do the service B9 (major service).
Thanks for the video! Did you have to do anything special with the alarm? I've tried disconnecting the battery on my CLS because I'm not driving too much during the quarantine, but the alarm goes off every time. Any tips?
Hi. No trouble at all with the alarm, but in reality the battery was never totally off. I think you must be careful because of the auxiliary battery. It is better to make the engine run for some time than to disconnect the battery. Another good option it will be a maintenance "charger".
@@davidaltamirano7672 according Varta website you can use Silver Dynamic AGM 560 901 068 or Silver Dynamic AGM 580 901 080. The first has 60A and 680A CCA, the second has 80Ah and 800A CCA. Just check the original capacity and buy the one that matches. And don’t forget to subscribe 😅
Thanks for the video, it is really informative and encouraging. Is this jump starting tool really necessary when there is an auxiliary battery installed to car?
I am not 100% sure. If you can afford it, for sure you can use an AGM battery. Check the spec from you current battery and if it says AGM it will be the same.
I am not sure but I think it is better to do it. If you have access to one just connect it. Just be extra careful with the positive wire when changing the battery.

The only warm you can get is to your wallet because the AGM is more expensive. I mean, the AGM battery will not damage your car but it would be better if you replace it with an exact same spec battery. Maybe try to search on a part shop.
just swapped out my battery on my cls 550 thanks to you and this video!!

Hello, Does the Varta F21 work on almost all newer Mercedes models? I have a C-class w205 220D with start stop. Will this one work?
Hi David. What is the year of your car? It’s the 163, 170 or 194hp?
Its the 170hp@@GFI

Thanks for your message. If you have the jumper it won’t hurt to connect it 😁
The battery is the same without start/stop system ?

@@GFI I researched and the AGM battery is available in all condition but it’s more expensive… But on the CLS I have only AGM battery 🫠
Replacing the battery is simple and easy, but do you have to code it?
O meu Cls fica um tempo parado, eu tenho reparado que tem uma partida pesada, acho que vou ter de substituir a bateria, abraço
Muito provavelmente sim.
Thanks man
Thank you for your message
You also dont need a jumper because cls 550 has an auxiliary battery
Does your car have start stop?
Yep.
@@GFI I want to change mine tommorow, so even on those with the secondary small battery you need to connect jumpers

Onde é que fica a bateria auxiliar do start stop?

May car don't even have stop/start, but Euro Car Parts said i need AGM battery, why?
Not sure exactly. Does your car have now installed an AGM battery?
Its not writing agm or start/stop, but with the bar code on it, searched on ebay, with that bar code all show up agm start/stop

I'm from UK, from euro car parts about 300-400£, on ebay same one 140-150£ 😁
Just Go For It 😂
Hello, do I really need to connect the jump starter while replacing the battery?
Hi, you do not need to do it, but you will loose the programming on the car like the radio definitions, seats positions and that kind of stuff.
