It seems to me that the garment construction was intended for people who have had the amount of plastic surgery that the Jenners and Kardashians have had because their bodies are going to be firmer from the work...other people's bodies will fight back against the thin fabric and very specific cut placements. so yes, the body inclusivity concerns are VALID. Nothing wrong with having work done if it makes you feel better about yourself. But I think Kylie has forgotten the texture of the "before" body.
It even more ridiculous that people keep buying these kind of things, encouraging them to sell more. (of course I'm not talking about people who buy and give a honest review, that way they help others to avoid these products)
@@mamashine7044 this doesn't have to do anything with Kylie being a celebrity but with the stupidity of consumers. Ppl like to define themselves over the brands they buy/wear and are willing to pay extra money just bc of the brand. Nike or Adidas also produce in south east asia and could sell their products for way less money but ppl are stupid enough to buy them bc "iT's nIkE". Same goes for Apple products by the way: The iPhones can be bought with 64, 128 or 256 GB storage capacity and apple charges up to 170 (!!) € more for the 256 GB compared to the 64 GB one, even though offering more storage capacity is literally the least complicated part of the phone. Unfortunately apple has enough fanboys- and girls who are willing to spent this unnecessary amount of money
As a small biz owner, who ships internationally (Germany, Italy, UK, and all over Canada), we pay for part of the customs a lot of the time by choice. BUT, it also has a lot to do with the tariff codes being used. The tariff codes are used to identify to customs and the country the package is entering, what is inside the package. If a buiness is using a specific (there are thousands of codes) or incorrect tariff code, or set of codes, it can make it so whatever goes into your country registers at a higher price point for you and will rack up a larger customs fee. (From what I understand of course.)
It's funny that people expected Kylie to make swimwear inclusive to all body types. She literally sells and is one of the biggest promotors of that unreachable beauty standard. Not even Kylie could wear these comfortably, especially now that she's pregnant
Of course it’s unreachable beauty standards because she’s had surgery to achieve it. She was beautiful before she molded herself to look like her sister.

I LOVE that we can hear the weather in the video. It creates a very cozy atmosphere like we are just hanging out at your house and discussing weird things you bought on the internet. It's nice.
There's nothing wrong with small revealing swimsuits, as long as they're made in such a way that the areas that they do intend to cover actually remain covered 🤦🏼♀️ these are unwearable for even the most body confident kinda person who likes a smaller swimsuit, far too much risk of something slipping out. It's crazy to me that they can charge so much for something unfit for purpose!
Yeah call me old fashioned but I'd rather not have an entire boob pop out or flash my lady bits in a swimsuit and definitely don't need to see that on another woman/girl no matter what there body shape is.
I’m finally watching this video after two years. This swim wear collection is referred to so many times in her other videos, I feel like it’s probably time I finally watch the video.
On the negative side: what a bunch of inappropriate, inflated merchandise! You wouldn't find me dead in one of those - and I wore string bikinis in the 80's and 90's that had 'way more substance to them. Not to mention - these would NOT be flattering to most body types. The material? WHOA! You may as well partake in skinny-dipping and save your money. I'm also in Canada - and those are some pretty hefty customs fees! On the plus side - Mia, you are an absolute riot! I laughed all the way through. I also love your donations to charity. You go, GURRRRLLL!

@@GreerValentinBond yes but skin comes in all kinds of shades and colors, even on just your chest. If someone has dark nips and a dark carpet then they're going to show up just as obviously as a patterned cloth
Kylie don’t care about when she launches something. I don’t even expect the “swimsuits” to cover anything at all. Love the rain. Definitely not inclusive at all. She deserves some backlash.
Yeah these suits are definitely just designed to take a couple still pictures and take them right back off, which makes the prices even more absurd and honestly gross
Mia's absolute DISDAIN for the first one when she put it on was everything 😭❤️ Edit: for the record the fact that these aren't lined isn't a style choice. It says a LOT about Kylie's choice in company they have making the swimsuits. Sewing a swimsuit lining perfectly is REALLY hard (I've tried and given up, I stick to sewing blazers now lmfao). That's why swimsuits can get really expensive. So Kylie is charging luxury prices for swimsuits that are sh!t quality and quickly sewn. Even Shein lines swimsuits and adds padding, this is PATHETIC
I've sewn swimsuits, and I didn't have too much problem with the lining just using a zig-zag stitch on a machine from the 1970s. Mind you, I love stretchy fabrics, and I have 3 different kinds of machines to chose from (I switched to a 2010 Brother for some parts). However, I don't have a flatlock machine, and they do obviously, so what's the excuse? Those things would make it super easy to sew. Where is that money even going, as I could make the same thing with a lining, at minimum wage, and it would cost about the same?
Mia you are absolute gold: "whatever you have down there, it isnt going to cover very well" and holy moly what the heck are these swimsuits made for, literally just photos I think... I dont think you COULD swim in them without something falling out!!!
As a one-piece wearer, I can firmly say this is not what I'm looking for when buying a one piece! And like you, I plan on throwing down in the pool-all these suits scare the bejeezus out of me for that!
Just a reminder that we’re thinking of you; be easy on yourself and try to take care of yourself - have a shower, drink a nice cup of tea, paint your nails, go for a walk 🥰
I think it's fair that mia and everyone else is giving in-depth,,detailed reviews bcos omg the prices on that piece of fabric is unbelievable😭😭😭 i could get Abt 8 different swimsuits at other stores w that price
Can we all just give a round of applause for Mia for putting herself through this horrible experience 👏 so that we know not to buy from this BS brand. Just another Kardashian-Jenner cash grab🙄
MIA!! You are so sweet and genuine but I’m gonna be honest I really liked how much more aggressive you were in this video. I appreciate a critical review from you especially because you are still respectful with it. I love this video!
I just had to stop and comment on the rain it was soo good, I'm a sucker for rain noises in the background and that made me so happy and calm, I love the vibe rain gives
Maybe you could do a review for "modest" swimwear next time! I'm not too fussed about modesty but when it comes to swimwear I do like to be covered up a bit more and I'm wondering what those styles would look like!
Yeah it feels like the entire swimwear market is really revealing high rise thongs. I'm a medium sized tall lady and I have no idea wear to look for more modest swimwear.
Yes! I feel especially uncomfortable showing my bikini line area/upper legs and wish I could find more swimwear that covers those parts without being completely frumpy. I've seen super cute swimsuits on people with frills that make it look kind of like a very short skirt but I can never find those anywhere to buy. The swim skirts I've seen available are so long and frumpy-looking.
@@monkiram Ive gotten a couple swinsuits like that from places like cotton on body and best and less in aus, the skirts are great til u get in water and they stick. to. everything.
I'm very modest when it comes to stuff like that, i do wear shorts but i could never show my boobs and butt in public and ive been thinking about getting a 20s/30s swim suit there's a bunch online and i found one that's around 40-50 dollars. Just an idea
These really were shocking Mia, don't feel bad, sometimes brands need criticism to get things right and you gave perfectly acceptable constructive criticism!
Loving these rainbow earrings mia🔥 Edits: Also don't apologize for the rain lmao love to hear it Love your energy and you're smart for putting on the layers so we can see very well how these don't really fit real active human bodies hahaha
Listen. You’re being honest and WE ALL appreciate it. Def not buying, even with a liner those cuts are unreasonably uncomfortable 😳 Popping out literally everywhere
I'm sorry but this is so unacceptable IMO. Kylie is preying on young women who look up to her to rush out and buy these pieces and it is clear that not only are they not high quality, but they're also very compromising. No way can any girl/woman wear those without mishaps galore. I am so disturbed at a billionaire exploiting in this way.
My job is somewhat depressing as I'm always dealing with sick/injured/stressed people, so I destress by watching kitten, puppy, and Mia videos. You see? You are so precious and funny you're like kittens and puppies! Love the earrings too. Love is love!
This was a GREAT video. LOVE how you’re donating to a charity at the end! I feel like it might be a marketing strategy on Kyle’s side to have it be not very good the first time, get a bunch of publicity, and then apologize and launch again in the spring when people actually want swimsuits and that way so many more people will know about the brand.
Yeahh I think the idea is that the first launch is tricking ppl into buying a half value one for the full price. Like say, it's actually worth 20 dollars but ppl buy it for 80 dollars bcz it's the first luanch. The second launch will be when everything gets real with double lining and is really worth the 80 dollars. Now she has made 160 dollars and about, say, 60 dollars easy profit from the first one! Obviously ppl are going to buy it the second time to see if anythibg has changed! I hope this makes sense lllol
It’s 2021 and good quality fabrics and designs are everywhere. This is a blatant disregard for quality and 100% a money-grabbing exercise. Spend your money elsewhere. If no-one buys it, she will have no choice but to lift her game. 🤞🏻
The rain is aesthetically pleasing to listen to while you do your thing. I always watch your videos when I wanna just chill and this added to the chill factor
i appreciate what you said about this being something someone worked really hard on so you dont want to rip it to pieces. But i will also say, someone worked really hard to exclude an entire population of people. Being non-size inclusive is a choice when you are a billionaire. So yeah, a lot went in to making these swimsuits maybe, but a lot more work went into making sure only the ideal body type could wear them.
Customs duty is based off of the value of the items in the package, transportation, and I think luxury items might also make customs more expensive. It’s a certain percent of the value of all that, and the percent varies by province. Like in Ontario It’s an 18% duty on women’s clothes made outside of Canada and another 13% tax. So company’s can calculate this before they send to you, but they don’t actually control how much you’ll get charged.
Most shops make deals so that the customer doesn't have to pay customs. So most online shops guarantee that you won't have customs since they pay a certain amount to the country so that they can sent and ship things without customs each time on their products. So yes the company can do something about the customs.
@@gladitsnotme For us it's anything $20 or less we don't have to pay taxes and duty fees. For the USA I believe it's something like $800. So we automatically have to pay these fees because we are importing it into Canada. (the fees are set by our government) We pay very high taxes in general.

@Ingoc , you may not like this channel then, because Mia is a very big supporter of the LGBTQTS+ community. If you're a bigot, there are plenty of hate fueled people that you can bond with online.
I feel so safe with Mia like the way she mentions not everyone feels comfortable with wearing certain things and having inclusive sizes, like ugh I wish more people were as caring as she is
True
"oh my. kylie.... you live like this?" lmaoooo you've done it again bestie less than 10 mins in and i am already cracking up
That line killed me!! I had to hit pause so I could finish laughing 😂
I NEVER comment on influencer's videos, but this is the first time I have seen your channel and I loved your humor, humility, and honesty. You have a new subscriber!
I think saying the body inclusivity concerns are valid is an understatement like God damn they look like they'd fit children.
i don't know how plastic surgeries work on the body and all, but it would make sense, mostly on the breast area
It is legit ridiculous that they can charge so much money for so little fabric
✨Just celebrity things!✨
Because, at that point I think, you're buying the name/brand more than you the item itself.
It even more ridiculous that people keep buying these kind of things, encouraging them to sell more. (of course I'm not talking about people who buy and give a honest review, that way they help others to avoid these products)
Rtfeed
@@hellidontcare7355 Exactly, and by making people think that the secret to look good in her swimwear it's all the shapewear, teas and etc instead of photoshop and surgery, she keeps making more money
Not just that, but their name is basically famous from controversy.
Kylie and her family is ridiculous im tired of seeing her everywhere tbh lol and i agree
She's pregnant and she made kids swimsuits... I really hope she made sure the kids swimsuits had more effort put into them...
I also don’t like giving negative reviews on something especially if it already has a lot of hate on it. However it’s always good to be aware on how the review is executed. I have always trust your reviews on everything you have tried on and you always give a kind review on products no matter if you have liked or disliked an item.

The part where she said if I’m wearing a one piece that means I’m goin to be throwin down in the pool 😂🤣 I felt that
Imagine how clingy that thin fabric is going to be when it's wet...the bottoms would show absolutely everything even if it wasn't see through!
I think it's supposed to be like a sexy costume for the bedroom... For the rich people with private pools, not average people who go to public swimming pools.

This is as close at it gets to a scathing review for Mia. Such a sweetheart.
P.S. we all know Kylie wouldn’t be caught dead in these other than for a social media ad.

Also Mia: Literally was only describing the swim suits. Never said anything mean or aggressive in her life.
She was WAY too nice about these hideous suits.

Calling those "one pieces" is SUCH a stretch. Like monokini for sure.... honestly you were so spot on with "banana hammock" lol. Thank you for not holding back and being honest!
I LOVE that we can hear the weather in the video. It creates a very cozy atmosphere like we are just hanging out at your house and discussing weird things you bought on the internet. It's nice.
No need to apologize for the rain, free ASMR!
Yeah call me old fashioned but I'd rather not have an entire boob pop out or flash my lady bits in a swimsuit and definitely don't need to see that on another woman/girl no matter what there body shape is.

not mia saying she was “aggressive” girl you’re literally the most tame reviewer ever 😭
I love the realness of your videos, and you never over-exaggerate anything, it feels more inviting and fun

You should do a review in the swim suits where you wear a patterned legging/bra underneath and then get in the pool so you can truly see how see through they are when they are wet!
Agree! I've been waiting for one of these influencers to actually get in a pool/water so we can see exactly how transparent these swimsuits can be.

The rain is a vibe for me. Lol. I love the sound of rain and wind. ❤️
Kylie don’t care about when she launches something. I don’t even expect the “swimsuits” to cover anything at all. Love the rain. Definitely not inclusive at all. She deserves some backlash.
I agree
Yeah these suits are definitely just designed to take a couple still pictures and take them right back off, which makes the prices even more absurd and honestly gross
Mia's absolute DISDAIN for the first one when she put it on was everything 😭❤️
Edit: for the record the fact that these aren't lined isn't a style choice.
Those earrings are awesome!
Good choice on wearing a layer underneath the Borat swimsuits 😂
Thank you for asking for multiple size models 👍
Mia you are absolute gold: "whatever you have down there, it isnt going to cover very well" and holy moly what the heck are these swimsuits made for, literally just photos I think... I dont think you COULD swim in them without something falling out!!!
I was thinking the same thing. These swimsuits are made for taking a photo in, then immediately taking off
a lot of these give me the vibe of they aren't supposed to stay on. Just wow the partner.
If someone with Mia’s body type can’t even work in some of these styles, what body are they made for?
This is what I’m saying!!!!!!!!
Ones made of plastic
Forrealll tho
A body you buy from a plastic surgeon

Hb
But unfortunately ppl will always buy her stuff. Which continues the cycle
HOW can she even launch a suit like that? did she NOT feel the fabric?

So yes the company can do something about the customs.
omg yall get taxed into oblivion and FOR WHAT
@@gladitsnotme For us it's anything $20 or less we don't have to pay taxes and duty fees. For the USA I believe it's something like $800. So we automatically have to pay these fees because we are importing it into Canada. (the fees are set by our government) We pay very high taxes in general.
