Had a crack (complete novice) at laying some bricks; just a simple planter made from demolition bricks of all dimensions. Used a laser for part of it and had difficulty seeing the laser line in the sunlight. The string is more hassle to set up but you can always see it. :)
Interesting video as you can clearly do more trowel actions with the laser without fear of hitting the string line but KC might be playing the wrong green after this on his golf days thanks to laser eye!!
HI, sir many thanks for sharing this video.it was really helpful however I think the point is how to set up the laser device so that we can get those three lines crossing each other. so I think it would be so handy if you showed us the position of laser devices in this video.
Sounds like it something you might want to try to learn and do. Take on small jobs to learn on your own. YOU HAVE intrest. As,do the rest of us watching.
That's me Odc disorder, that's bad brickwork, that's, ok, that's good work the perp's line up and 10 mill joints. The bed joints ten mill and in line etc.😳
great video and demonstration for someone like myself who wanted to see how it is done using a laser. I recently built a 3 course wall (it was my first attempt at laying bricks). My issue was not levelling but to get it at a straight line. I used the string but just could not achieve it. Probably something so simple but like I mentioned I am a novice at all of this and want to learn. so thank you for this video. Any recommendations on which laser to buy? Thanks,
I said ages ago why dont they come up with something for brickies like a laser line. A small device you sit on the edge of the end brick on the wall and it shoots a line straight down to the other end. No hassle with pins or sagging pinging or snapping lines.....seems a no brainier?
Hey, nice vid! Quick question, what are those types of bricks? i can see the same ones (with one smooth side and one side with vertical grooves) have been used in my house, near the foundations. I want to confirm if that means they are engineering bricks?
All through the video i was wondering how it would work outside and right at the end yo made a comment on just that, thanks Stu. Rate your videos 10/10
Yep, there is no way to judge straightness with a laser, because it is only working in one dimension. A brick could be offset towards the front or back of the wall and you'd never know. It probably turned out good because Stu is an experienced bricklayer and naturally making the wall straight by eye.
Stu you’re a better brick layer than me mate! See the last brick you lay always think it’s better to double joint the brick before you lay it and have the two bricks jointed that are already down (which you have done) 👍🏻
I built a garage earlier this year...bought some brick laying string and hung a breeze block each end over a few metres...checked with a laser and it lost 1/8 - 3/16” in the middle
the mortar at college is made suing just sand and no cement so it is usable. you would need 4 sand and one cement if you were to build a structure that would stay up for at least 120 years
Would be fun to see you doing this with both a string line and a laser but wearing goggles that filter out the laser and seeing how accurate you get without it
Cool idea on a video mate but In my opinion that would be class for keeping peperps in line while building every meter or so 🤔 at the minute I build about 6 course then plum with level and mark with a pencil, laser constantly there would be much quicker!!!
Must be slow setting laser up for each course. Or did you fix the laser to something plum and raise 75mm each time. Good video tho 👌. I reckon it might be the way forward in the future
Very good job . I have never touched my brics with the handle of my trowel if you are a bricklayer you hear them work in next city's 😁.but Stu still you are a good bricklayer I can see you love brickl. 👍Pat from Belgium

I don't normally see or search for construction related vids but this video feels so satisfying to watch... 😌
Couldn’t help but watch the laser in the background of your previous work and it’s absolutely bang on! Top work top man
Great way of matching course heights to an existing structure that is not attached, then you can put your string lines up.
How you setting the laser up tho that's what I wanna see.
Im with you looks amazing!! But nt shure how to set up!!
Yeah, need to compare the set ups to see how good it is.
Would be great
Probably setting off a gauge rod I use one now for building interns balcony’s in flats it’s really quick too set up
love the way the bricks you laid line up perfectly in gauge to the wall behind!
Thanks for the video stu rlly shows all the different things to learn and to see about bricklaying I'm just starting myself.
nice, mind providing the link to the laser leveler that you're using and how to set it up? thanks
Your the future of bricklaying stu iv never e en thought about running in with a laser but I’m going to give it a go for sure
Nice to see you trying that way Stu but im with you long live the string line
Hi stu how is the wall staying plumb ? Have you got a vertical set up ? Or could you use another laser for this ? Have 2 on the go
Hi Stu, they’re not good down here in Spain , just too bright for them , great indoors though ! Good vid as usual .
U r blowing up bro, been here since the beginning.
I just had to stop the video to give it a like. Bravo !!!
Another fantastic video stu.well done.and keep up the good work pal 😁👍🏻
Interesting video as you can clearly do more trowel actions with the laser without fear of hitting the string line but KC might be playing the wrong green after this on his golf days thanks to laser eye!!
Amazyingly built, well done

This was surprisingly entertaining. I watched the whole thing.
Love it mate ... I’m not a brickie but I’ve started looking at mortar joints everywhere I go 🙄
How sad am I 🤔
Welcome to the club buddy.😉
Master Samurai 👍
Sounds like it something you might want to try to learn and do. Take on small jobs to learn on your own. YOU HAVE intrest. As,do the rest of us watching.
See how many zip joints you can see where the bond got messed up.....it’s addictive
That's me Odc disorder, that's bad brickwork, that's, ok, that's good work the perp's line up and 10 mill joints. The bed joints ten mill and in line etc.😳
How did you set it up for 75mm increments? I use mine for tiling and thats about it
Great video I want to see more videos using only lasers as one can cut down set up time thanks
Would have been beneficial to see what laser leveller you were using and how you positioned and set it up.
Great work ..Respekt and wish u all THe best..greatings from 🇨🇭
This is great idea for build easily for house thank you very much sir 🙏 👍 😊😊
nice quality and color bricks, Máster Stu 🤩
Wow! That laser light is great.

Any recommendations on which laser to buy? Thanks,
really cool to watch
Which type of line do you use
Bro your work is amazing . ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO STU 🔥🔥🔥

dazza944 - sketch it out and get yourself a patent lawyer. Could make a million 👍🏻
You would never see it outside clearly unless it was a dull day
How much time are you spending to adjust the height of the laser for each course?
Is this for those dark nights in winter lol it looks spot on to me your an awesome bricky stu
Hey, nice vid! Quick question, what are those types of bricks?

ive always wondered if this would work ... so thanks for the upload
Why is this soo relaxing and fun to watch?
More relaxing stuff on asmr bricklaying channel 😁
What is the brand name and model number of the laser. Please let me know. Thank you!
Hi Stu, what is the composition of these bricks? love all your videos!
Stu. Watching this made my back hurt, so hate to think about yours. Could you do this on a table and build on that to save your back?
Swarm0r 😂😂😂😂😂 best comment yet.
Waoo its a good job,I see for the level concrete floor but with bricks its very cool
All through the video i was wondering how it would work outside and right at the end yo made a comment on just that, thanks Stu. Rate your videos 10/10
Green glasses 😎
Stu how are you setting up that lazer level to the qoine brick each time? Or to that brickwork in the back ground
Good and valid point 👍
What’s the laser brightness like outside ?
Surely you only have the height with a laser? Whereas a line gives you the ability to stay straight?
Yep, there is no way to judge straightness with a laser, because it is only working in one dimension. A brick could be offset towards the front or back of the wall and you'd never know. @@NanoCottage
You can get a 2 & 3 way laser Which will give you plumb & line
Just add another 2 lasers, now you got straight plumb and level
👍 one question stu. How is that laser giving you the gauge as you progressing with courses of brickwork ? Pretty cool 😎
hmm anything close by he could have gauged off? have a think!!
Where can I buy this tool?
Another great vid stu 👍
Sir please tell me a name of this tool and where its available....
how to visible lasser line..?
& what is the instrument for lesser
Stu you’re a better brick layer than me mate! See the last brick you lay always think it’s better to double joint the brick before you lay it and have the two bricks jointed that are already down (which you have done) 👍🏻
Where can you buy one?
Good job
Where the level how u set it up
Props for experimenting!
What laser are you using? Mine is no where near that bright
Do you always use premium plasterciser?
I built a garage earlier this year...bought some brick laying string and hung a breeze block each end over a few metres...checked with a laser and it lost 1/8 - 3/16” in the middle
andy brant could’ve pulled the line tight :/
Very nice product
أنت بارع يا صديقي ، واصل يوما موفق
Nice one I've always wondered about this thanks.
What type of knot do you use if you have to repair a break in the line?
Sad bastard
Great idea! Bonjour du Québec
stu can you do a video on header course including the mitres for the return corner
Hi Stu, I wonder what type of mortar do you use? Can you send me a link or smt.? Thanks
I want one! Congratulaction
Do you Re use the mortar like we used to at college stu?
the mortar at college is made suing just sand and no cement so it is usable. you would need 4 sand and one cement if you were to build a structure that would stay up for at least 120 years
And lime as well, makes it more useable. Wet sand is no good.
can you do a video on weatherstruck pointing?
Hi, where can I buy that láser?
Screwfix
Good experiment Stu, what make of laser have you got? I notice it's a green line not red, supposed to be better.
Would be fun to see you doing this with both a string line and a laser but wearing goggles that filter out the laser and seeing how accurate you get without it
Is it Concrete Brick? What type of mortar is used ?
Great music, such a relaxing video
GREAT VIDEO!!!
what is the name of the laser tool?
What is the name of that bricks? Im trying to find that color:)
Looks like KC was having a tidy up 😉
Relaxed
Halo votre travail magnifique Bon continuation
Q buen trabajo amigo. Yo también pego Block saludos de tijuana
a question how do you do to make the mortar of that color
Piss in it
Gute Idee. 👍
Amazing bricklayer.
What is the name of the laser product you are using? Or a link?
Anyone know?
Perfect job
Stuart's living in the future! Love the try it out mentality.
You could build castles stu
In fairness you would have built it that good without a level/line.
How cool is that
What was the point of building a corner
Cool idea on a video mate but In my opinion that would be class for keeping peperps in line while building every meter or so 🤔 at the minute I build about 6 course then plum with level and mark with a pencil, laser constantly there would be much quicker!!!

Bahut badhiya good your work 🆕TkN👌🇮🇳
Interesting to watch, nice one pal. Like you said straightness needs a string, good job on showing 👍
Very good job . I have never touched my brics with the handle of my trowel if you are a bricklayer you hear them work in next city's 😁.but Stu still you are a good bricklayer I can see you love brickl. 👍Pat from Belgium
Very good stu, certainly a different approach, just a shame that the lazer would be visible in daylight hours! Works well in a garage though bud👍
Now that’s 😎
Are two laser levels used at the same time?
1 cross beam
Excellent!
I'd prefer a string line tbh. But nevertheless, looks pretty sharp. 👍🏾
