I dunno, I'd swear I've seen "Battery Life" before! Hey Justin, is this part of a series? Did you post another video with the same style? know I've seen this before ...maybe 4 - 5 years ago? Very cool in any case! It definitely stuck in my memory....cheers.
Hey! I didn’t even know they reposted this until right now, ha! Yeah this came out on Dust when they launched. I released another film on dust last year called Frequencies but it’s not in this world. I actually wrote a series for this but it’s been on the shelf for some time. Thanks for watching. :)
I did find it enjoyable. But I do keep thinking the thing on the son's head is a wind mill generating electricity keeping him "alive". Which makes me think why not just put a wind mill on the mother's head.
the moral story behind the movie is we have to urge russia not to bomb ukraine's public electricitiy infrastructures . for targeting civilians infrastucture is a war crime .
This was about religion & the deceits it gives to followers. It has nothing to do with the Ukraine war. This short is old & predates the war by almost a decade.
Looks like a lot of work. 24 frames a second for 11 mins.. what's that.. 15,000 frames. yikes! Blinking eyes very effective. Happy ending.... puts power cell in and the broken robot powers up and says... "Did I miss anything?" Ha.
@@Iknowurconfused lol. Bible is as correct as the evening news. And one is a description after a lifetime and thousands of years, and the other is a description that has just happened today. You are super naive.
Please lower the volume of the background music. The poor quality of the muffled dialogue is bad enough without trying to drown it out with the music. Otherwise a nice concept to compare AI worshipping technology to people worshipping wishes.
This is why I come to Dust, for little gems like this!
this could be a part of love, death & robots
This has been the first thing Dust has posted in a while that I really, really enjoyed. Thank you all!
I agree :) Glad not everyone is such a blind yea sayer as the followers in this great movie :)
This was first posted 7 years ago.
@@discripple I wasn't following Dust back then.
Amazing concept, the way it talks about religion in the way science fiction does is great.
Masterful movie making ... World class in every respect
Thanks for having CC enabled!
So good story!
This was excellent. I just love that animation style, and the story was first-rate. Thank you!
275 👍's up DUST thank you for sharing 🤗
Awesome!! So deep and hopeful!
it reminds me of some old school fantasy cartoons
Very Interesting storyline !!!!
Brilliant! I's our world today. You have to believe, even if there is nothing there: Money system, human rights, social equality....
"There's no place like home," said Tim Burton.
Wonderful.
I love this! ❤ That’s why I follow Dust.
I saw this video a few years ago. Well done. Nice music too.
Awesome product 👍👍
Thank you dust.
Wow!😎
That's a really good short!! Unique in look and a neat take on a familiar story. :D
Thanks for this. A great metaphor. I loved the gold setting.
Finally, a great little Sci-Fi film.. Sci-fi with humans struggling in a dystopian world is not Sci-Fi.
I read somewhere that “dystopian” sci-fi is when people of privilege are forced to live like people who lack privilege 😂😂Accurate, no?
Brilliant!
Good film - short and to the point. 😉
Pure nonsense loved it . A big pack of duracell's may have helped . Nice one dust👍
The Energizer bunny was killed in the great flesh wars years ago. Read your history. Geezs.
The rockets were tops
Kudos
Brilliant.

This is a re-upload. The tag "TT" means "Throwback Thursday"--they show old shorts.

I’ve seen this before
Cute. Nicely done. Reinforces my disdain for the church. LOL
Nice repeat, still love it!
Great…
This seems familiar... Replay from time past maybe??
My phone cried lost 8 % battery 🔋😅
Great short! I enjoyed it. Thanks for this peace of art. Cheers from Acapulco.
Worshiping the ultimate need not be so far.
This has PIXAR or Tim Burton all over this to be made into a full motion stop action picture with the creator coproducing directing
Dust posted this 7 years ago... wonder why they reposted it?
TT in the title means "Throwback Thursday"--they re-upload old shorts.
Can't understand the vocalization. Animation is good.
Just a thought. Have you tried turning on the subtitles?
@@redpillcommando Normally, that's what I do. It's wasn't available at the time. I tried it just now and it works. Thanks.

I wish "real" religions could be exposed the way this film does it.
I guess you have never been in despair
@@paulwright8378 what do you mean?
