I love the fact that Marvel nodded to Pulp Fiction. Col. Nicholas J. Fury's tombstone in Winter Soldier reads "The path of the righteous man..." Ezekiel 25:17.

The way Vincent stands behind Brett and casually gets his gun ready as Jules begins reciting his Bible verse like, "Okay, looks like we're about to wrap this up."

I was going to say the same thing. As soon as Jules says "Do you read the Bible, Brett?", Vincent casually turns to put out his cigarette in the ash tray. He's done this lots of times.

How quickly he goes from calm and seemingly normal to a righteous psychopath and back. You have all kinds of thoughts about the character after his biblical recital. Then at the end he says it’s just some badass shit to say to someone before you kill him. Lmao 😂

I'm pretty sure Tarantino filmed this scene that way on purpose according to the DVD extras I saw, but I could be wrong.

"Why do you keep saying 'what'?"
You'd be surprised how many mistakes you make when someone is aiming a loaded gun at you, yelling to the top of their lungs, demanding that you do EXACTLY what they want you to do or else this moment's your last. And the worse part about it is before they crossed paths with you, as far as you knew, your life meter was full with a bright future ahead.
Also, y'all are too damn young to be watching this film. 😁

Unfortunately, Tarantino has made it more than clear that what's in the case is a McGuffin. Hitchcock called a McGuffin "The thing the characters care about more than anything else, but the audience doesn't care at all". He deliberately left it undefined because what it is doesn't matter the least bit to the plot.
