I love the fact that Marvel nodded to Pulp Fiction. Col. Nicholas J. Fury's tombstone in Winter Soldier reads "The path of the righteous man..." Ezekiel 25:17.
The way Vincent stands behind Brett and casually gets his gun ready as Jules begins reciting his Bible verse like, "Okay, looks like we're about to wrap this up."
I was going to say the same thing. As soon as Jules says "Do you read the Bible, Brett?", Vincent casually turns to put out his cigarette in the ash tray. He's done this lots of times.
Emptying his soda to the ice cubes while staring him in the eyes the entire time... coldest thing ever. "You ain't gonna need this, so let me finish this for you."
Not in the Black community (See: Jungle Fever) He was already MF’ing before Pulp Fiction. He was perfect bc Tarantino was already familiar with him. A Time To Kill was more pivotal than this.
How quickly he goes from calm and seemingly normal to a righteous psychopath and back. You have all kinds of thoughts about the character after his biblical recital. Then at the end he says it’s just some badass shit to say to someone before you kill him. Lmao 😂
I'm pretty sure Tarantino filmed this scene that way on purpose according to the DVD extras I saw, but I could be wrong. This was 20 years ago and I was drinking that night but that's how I remember it, and it makes sense.
She is super naive and sweet. Her reaction channel is full of surprise at how horrible some of these movies are. She grew up watching it wanna say exclusively rom coms. And is from canada so the gun violence is a shock too.

Yeah, this is my "desert island" scene. Just a delight to watch. Also, I just realized the whole "intimidation through food" thing gets reused twice in Inglourious Basterds as well with the milk and strudel/cream bits.
theory 1 - Marcellus' soul theory 2 - the diamonds from reservoir dogs, and busChemi is the same character, there to fence them the question has never been answered last time I checked
Fun fact the way Samuel l Jackson says "this is a tasty burger" is the same way an anime character says it in log horizon I'm not going to tell you what episode but you'll know it when you watch it is obvious the animes creator watched pulp fiction for that one line.
Tarantino is definitely the director of my lifetime. Along with Spielberg, Scorsese, and Durabonte. Oh, and Cameron. Classic all the way. Also, people saying, what's in the briefcase. Since it glows yellow, I always thought it's the representation of gold. Which just means, a shit ton of money. 😄😄
The combination to the brief case was 666. Remember the back of marselis head was a bandaid, which is where the SOUL is collected. So in the case was marselis SOUL. It was Brite because the soul is the most beautiful and valuable thing in a human and they stole it.😮
"Why do you keep saying 'what'?" You'd be surprised how many mistakes you make when someone is aiming a loaded gun at you, yelling to the top of their lungs, demanding that you do EXACTLY what they want you to do or else this moment's your last. And the worse part about it is before they crossed paths with you, as far as you knew, your life meter was full with a bright future ahead. Also, y'all are too damn young to be watching this film. 😁
You guys missed that combination number to the briefcase...666 annnnnnnnnnd what was in that briefcase and why it glowed?? It was Marseilles Wallace's soul, hence the big band-aid on the back of his head...
Unfortunately, Tarantino has made it more than clear that what's in the case is a McGuffin. Hitchcock called a McGuffin "The thing the characters care about more than anything else, but the audience doesn't care at all". He deliberately left it undefined because what it is doesn't matter the least bit to the plot.
I'll never understand why people think this is a funny scene. It's clever, well written, brilliantly acted and directed and very powerful. But comical?!
Other theories I’ve heard about the briefcase contents include; the diamonds from Reservoir Dogs, the Oscar/Award that Tarantino was hoping to win, or a gold jumpsuit that belonged to Elvis.
@@larrymcmanus7951I love all the detail work Tarantino puts into not just this movie but most of his movies. 666-> turned into letters is FFF-> Mia’s pilot was called Fox Force Five.
Excellent question. Why tf are they eating hamburgers that early in the day. That kinda makes me less sympathetic to them getting killed that morning. 🤷♂️

There's two different kinds of hired thugs. 1) The guy who makes you pay. 2) The guy who makes you sorry you didn't pay when you had the chance.

The role that turned Samuel L Jackson into a legend.
😂😂😂 to you
Thx
I agree, his most iconic role.

A Time To Kill was more pivotal than this.
@@serenitymuszings As someone who was raised in a black community, I agree, but this role made him a legend around the world.
I’ve watched this scene a million times. For me, one of the scariest things about Sam Jackson in this scene is he doesn’t appear to blink once.

Leonardo DiCaprio also uses the white cake as intimidation in Django.
Yes Hanz Landa was so charming and charismatic, yet so terrifying, just like Samuel L in this scene!
Jules is both hilarious and terrifying in this scene. He's hilarifying.
Samuel NAILED this role......I don't see anyone else that could Come close
I love seeing the light bulbs go off in people’s heads when they realize THIS is where the “English” meme came from😂
Pulp fiction-best movie ever made. My favourite movie of all time

It was the Oscar it should've won for best picture!

Phil Lamar was actually on the mad tv cast when they filmed the parody

Closed casket
I remember my cousin saying, "QT is a f*****g God." Meaning his cinematic prowess.
Ezekial 17:25 is actualy from the 70's movie 'The Bodyguard'....
Starring the man Sonny Chiba
Tarantino 25:17 was "inspired" by the actual Bible verse. Jules's line is more Tarantino than King James.
This is the best scene in the movie, and it is a master class in "less is more" story telling.
I want to watch a spin off of the early days of Jules and Vincent getting into adventures while side bantering about random things.
PF has gone into the pantheon along with those before it as one of the greatest movies ever made.
Ezekiel is so iconic that it’s in Megaman Exe. 😂
And The Boondocks. 😂
I would gladly have a burger in the morning. Ive done it before
To this day I pause when I say the word " What "
It’s funny cause in the movie from Paris with love, all John’s character wants is a royal with cheese
The was the last time Samuel L Jackson looked young.
Okay, what's wrong with eating a cheeseburger for breakfast?
1:52 love that hat!! Dirty birds baby!!!
Rise up!!!
17:00 I know this is random but if this girl had short black hair, she would look alot like a live action version of Colette from Ratatouille 😅
That second girl had a choking hazard wrapped around her.
Damn, that poor guy on the couch. He's probably the least involved
For you folks out there watching this clip, don't say "what" when someone ask you a question.
I feel so bad for Brett’s neighbors 😂😂😂😂😂
NOTHING better than having a double cheeseburger at 8 a.m. Especially when you work 3rd shift.👍🏾
That's funny MEDIA KNIGHTS had their audio blocked from the Bible verse. The Lord said, " Nope. Not today."

Do you know what they call a Quarter Pounder with cheese in Canada? A Quarter Pounder with cheese. Something to do with the metric system.
4:45 Clearly she begged for an Easy Bake Oven as a kid and Pops never got it.
You steal from someone like Marcellus Wallace, you should have been out of town that day. And they had to know what was coming.
Wallace’s soul was in the briefcase and he wanted it back from the devil
