Thank you for this important information about the history of calendars. You have done a lot of work. Just some information: The Aztec Sun stone, at 39 min, is neither a calendar nor a symbol of the sun. It is the most solidly crafted symbol of the ninth planet in our solar system that causes disasters on our planet in a cycle of seven. As a result, five civilizations live one after the other. Four of them live only a few thousand years. The fifth civilization lives much longer, becomes more developed and numerous. Key words for the disaster are: storm, rain and flooding, fire, death and dust or mud. It must be about 20,000 years old. I wish you success with your videos.
@@markeiben409 We explain much more about planet 9, the recurring flood cycle and its timeline, the rebirth of civilizations and ancient advanced technology in the e-book: "Planet 9 = Nibiru". It shows abundant and convincing evidence both in text and many depictions. It can be read on any computer, tablet or smartphone. Search: planet 9 roest
I guess I am confused. Why did you did you rearrange the order of the permutations, to originally starting with Reed (on your introduction slide on permutations) to making Crocodile first (on your slide about Venus)?
I thought for sure you was going to show the ancient 13 towers. That definitely shows the sun moving left to right. Like you was showing at the beginning of this video. I'm fascinated that the native americans in the north used a turtle shell as a calendar. With 13 plates on the turtle shell that represents 13 full moons that come an go in a calendar year. With the serpent mound in ohio ,and the fact the mayan calendar is so amazing. The ethiopian calendar, the Egyptian calendar was great too. Making me wonder if. The gragorian calendar doesn't fit on purpose.
I still don't understand how Aztec Calendar related to any astronomical/planetary cycle at all. All calendar has to be connected to a particular astronomical cycle to be valid, for example the lunar solar calendar from the Hebrew using NEW MOON as the start of the month and which also explain the 7 day cycle which is very important. This could not be explained in Aztec/Mayan calendar, the period of 13 days and the period of 20 days doesnt seem to come from any particular astronomical cycle!!!!
Thank you for your great question. Above all, the whole astronomical explanation was intended to demonstrate that calendar making is an arduous endeavor and therefore indigenous peoples in the Americas (who in my opinion are often either ignored in history or are not given the credit they deserve for their remarkable achievements in science and in other fields) were accomplished astronomers and mathematicians. As students of the Mesoamerican calendar we should reflect on the fact that ancient indigenous sages knew that combining 20 with 13 would produce a calendar to name cycles of 365 days and also why Europeans (who conquered them and sought to destroy the ancient Mesoamerican calendar--some friars expressed admiration for the indigenous calendar though) could not boast an ancient calendar. Also, the cycles that Mesoamericans observed closely were those of the sun and Venus, which as explained in the latter part of the lecture, are linked in their manuscripts (the Borgia and the Dresden, for example). RN I'm focusing on completing a couple of other projects, but after that I will turn my attention to figuring out the correlations between the Mesoamerican Calendar and the European ones (i.e., the Julian and the Gregorian) as well as issues related to the leap year. Hopefully this makes sense and addresses your question. Thank you for watching the lecture so closely!!
This is the best vid on the Aztec Calendar I've seen so far!

Thank you very much for your teaching and patience. May God bless you and your family. I can not thank you enough for sharing knowledge, teacher.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. The Chinese lunisolar calendar accurately predicts a full moon on the 15th every month.
Great lecture!!
you are very kind
Brilliant, thanks!

Your explanation of the moon Cycles were backwards, also the Nue moon is first. but cool video!
Thank you! Yes, I should have named the phases starting with New Moon.
😎
Zero is not an ordinal number. The ten stems of the Chinese calendar relate to the Venus cycle The twelve branches to the Jupiter Saturn cycle.
