This is a tough one for both parties. Problem is when you do a gig in a public place open to all ages, this can happen easily and it did. His act is really not suited for all ages by any stretch. In a bar or other gathering suited for adults only, this is where he shines, even if a few people are negative, they're all adults. There a guy can't complain about his 7 year old without it being his fault for bringing him there. Not so much for a community car show. Love Vic and Russell, and he shouldn't have been booked for this kind of event BY THE ORGANIZERS. You can't expect Russell Best to be the moral compass for a car show. Money talks and that's his job. The organizers fucked this one up and embarrassed Vic. At that event, there could have been young kids back where the cars were not even near the band box and they would have been able to hear him with the speakers pointed their way. Definitely one for Vic's scrap book. Watching Vic work his way up the ladder is like the fucking Grapes of Wrath. You gotta take all kinds of shit if you have a chance to make it.
I love how people freak out over swearing when there's younger people in the audience. Kids go to school and get on social media from a very young age now. They're already all tainted. A seven year old could watch porn and know every swear word in the book before age 10. Really people? Fuckin really?
